Any sane person that witnessed the furrowed, heavy brows; aggressive body language; and booming, nasty tone would think Wario was in a bad mood. Despite all that though, this was just his normal disposition. He was actually in quite a good mood, resting bitch face aside.

The stares only bolstered Wario's resolve to continue their argument. Ever the showman, he lived for all the attention. A quick glance scanned the growing onlookers before stormy blue eyes locked back onto L with a grin-- one wider than usual. However, he met an equally steely gaze, one that didn't jive with the sniveling younger Mario bro's usual behavior. This struck Wario, he wasn't dumb. He thought to question it... but there were people watching... and he DEFINITELY wasn't concerned. No way. A momentary look of confusion crossed his face, accompanied by a puzzled, "Wah?"

"And-a what you gonna do if-a I don't? Cry about it?" His chest puffed out and he took a step forward. No, he probably wouldn't hit him-- mostly because dealing with Mario later would be a pain, but he couldn't just back down. "Why? You want-a your face mashed in?"

Mr. L caught the momentary look of confusion. If he had a guess, this could be another one of those, “I thought you were ____” situations all over again. If it was, he would likely be even more annoyed than he already was. All L wanted to do was grab what he needed to finish some projects and go home. That was it, but of course, that isn’t how it can ever go down. 

L completely deadpans when he hears Wario’s first comment. Really. What part of the mechanic suggested anything like that? And after hearing the next part, he just gives a small shrug.

“Mm. Most people don’t go looking for a fight, unless they’re an idiot. A bored one at that. I’m not looking for an issue, but I’ll gladly end one. So. Do we have an issue?” L questions, his voice getting more stern and aggressive by the end. He took another step forward, his grey eyes staring coldly back into his blue eyes.

Wario had been slacking off today, and contrary to popular opinion, he actually didn’t do that very often. Warioware needed attention to remain afloat– his ‘friends’ certainly wouldn’t be the ones putting in all the hard work… not without his pestering, at least. That was a boss’s job, right? Making the little peons do your bidding!

Regardless, he wasn’t working today. Nope. He decided he was going into the Mushroom Kingdom to find some fun, or at the very least a slice of pizza with extra garlic. He rounded the corner thoughtlessly. If a toad got shoved by his girth, they wouldn’t dare do anything in retaliation, and picking on a toad sounded kind of fun.

Unexpectedly, his gut rammed a rather familiar looking fellow in green. Oh boy… it was Mario’s brother– the opposite of what he wanted today. What was his name again? Loogey? Eh, didn’t matter. He could ask Waluigi later and probably learn the green Mario’s whole life story.

“You watch-a where you’re going, loser! Don’t-a wanna get bowled over? Get outta the way!” He boomed back, drawing up a large fist threateningly.

“Learn to keep your gut in when you’re rounding a corner, or slow down. Not that hard, many people do it,” L shot back to him. He looks to Wario, staring back at him defiantly. At this point a few bystanders were stopping now and then to watch the two men, a couple whispering and others scurrying off if one of the two caught their eye. By the looks of it, no one wants to accidentally get caught in any crossfire.

Mr. L wasn’t someone who backed down, and he wasn’t going to falter just because some guy who was clearly not in a good mood, nor was the Green Thunder clearly, was angry that his big stomach rammed into him.

Seeing the fist raised, L watches him evenly and gives him a small smirk. “What? You’re gonna hit me over this? Temperamental much?”

Daisy

“Uh…. yeah. Let’s go with that.” Daisy stated since she thinks that Luigi had taken a new persona for some reason as Mr. L had introduced himself to the Princess of Sarasaland. “I maybe a princess like Peach, but I got a lot of spunk, let me tell you.” She stated.

“So, Mr. L, what brings you to these parts of the Mushroom Kingdom?” She asked out of curiosity

“Spunk, I could see. Different from Pink Dress, ah, Peach, you said? Yup, her,” L comments, having to run through the names in his mind. He barely remembered the Heroes’ names, usually falling into nicknames for them because he didn’t care to remember them before.

“A walk, mostly. Taking time away from my projects, is all. What brings you around here?”

Princess of Sarasaland

Daisy folds her arms across her chest and gives Mr. L a serious glance. “That’s funny. You sure LOOK like Luigi.” She said but she had no choice but to fall for his new persona. “What happened to my L man? Did he catch a cold? Hit his head with a Thwomp?” She thought.

“I am Princess Daisy of Sarasaland, but my friends call me Daisy.” She introduced.

“I’ve heard it before, and I’ll say it every time. I’m not him, and I have no clue who that is,” L huffs. He looks the Princess over once more, frowning as he did so. His grey eyes squint a bit, as if attempting to see a flaw, or decipher a code. He could feel a headache coming on, making him wince and press a hand to his right temple for a moment. That name... He’s heard it before. But considering she’s also named after a flower, he figured he couldn’t trust that. “Daisy. Hm, interesting name. As for me, I go by L. A pleasure to meet you, Princess. Surprised that I haven’t seen you before now.”

There was that name again. It was just as he feared. Big shock. L looks back at her and sighs in aggravation.

“I shouldn’t even be shocked anymore, hearing that. No. I’m not ‘Luigi’, and these have always been my clothes. Clearly you have me mistaken for someone else,” he said. He was getting tired of hearing about this other person, having his name constantly thrown in his face. How ridiculous. “Now, your name? Or is ‘Princess’ all you go by?”

He didn’t want to have to be around this part of the Kingdom, and yet, here he was. L would usually try to keep in his own space for as long as he could, however, eventually he knew he had to come out and walk. Walking had this tendency to bring him to the Mushroom Kingdom because while he wasn’t particularly fond of some of the residents here, there were some sights that were kinda nice to see. As long as no one tried to stop him and talk to him, he should be fine.

On one of his walks, however, he took notice to a certain Princess. A Princess in an orange dress. Wait, not pink? No... And she had much darker hair than the pink one. Who was this? In the back of his mind, he heard something, a voice, or a... laugh? He doesn’t recognize it. Now came more of an awkward part. This Princess was headed straight for him. She was beautiful, no doubt. And while he didn’t recognize her, it almost looked like maybe she knew him? God, not this again. He usually knew what it meant if someone looked like they knew him. They didn’t. They tended to call him some other name. No doubt she isn’t looking for him, exactly. But, hey, why waste an opportunity? When she was close enough, he tosses her a smirk before offering a bow.

“Well, well, Princess, didn’t expect to run into someone so lovely on this little walk. What brings you around here alone, though?” he asks her.

Open Starter

It wasn’t particularly often that the mechanic left his place of residence. It was also even less often that he decided to venture towards the Mushroom Kingdom, particularly because there were a certain few people he preferred to avoid around there. However, there happened to be some materials he could only get at the Mushroom Kingdom that didn’t reach Flipside as frequently. Begrudgingly, he was left without many choices if he wanted to be able to continue with his projects.

The journey took longer, then again, it’s also been so long since he’s made the trip, perhaps he miscalculated, and half the day was gone. At the least, it did mean that the stores he needed to visit would certainly be open. Now to only hope that they were stocked with the items he needed.

Walking towards one of the shops, he ran into someone almost instantly while rounding the corner. Momentarily startled, he shakes his head before throwing a glare their way.

“Hey! Watch where you’re going,” he huffs in annoyance.
