@mr-princess
the best thing about being alive on earth is that sometimes there is a kitty
You need to accept that you are a strong person.
Someone that experiences that much pain and goes on is not weak. It doesn't matter that you had to be strong, that there was no other option but to go on. You went on and you are strong.
The source of the pain does not invalidate the strength that grew to fight it. You are a strong person, despite how weak you may feel.
That doesn't make you inherently good or bad, but it is something, I think, to be proud of.
âThere are people who take the heart out of you, and there are people who put it back.â
â Elizabeth David
Breezy Weather
It's a hot hot
Summer
It's been, but I
Launder in the warm
Breezy weather anyway
Because it smells
Like new grass and old
Dirt burned brass,
Turned at last to the sun
A breath of mint;
I exhale brewed air
Sticky and warm
I chewed and felt welcomed
For once.
[Untitled]
Shattered shrapnel
Pieces struck
And struck deep down
And now how could
I get out?
Nothing is clean
Now
In bacteria in
Sludge I'm stuck
In my own belly I'll
Rot
And in decay I'll
Lock it away
For now it's heavy enough
To keep me steadied
On a path
And I won't ask for
More than what
I have
My love is a beautiful one; and oh! how I do love to boast about them. I mean, lord, their eyes bring warmth to my heart so pleasing I nearly forget that theyâre looking into my own unappealing, deep-set ones. And their hands, oh so gentle when they brush away the frizzy, plain blonde locks out of my face. Â
Their lips are absolutely pristine. When they kiss me itâs as if my massive, greek nose isnât even there. And oh boy, when I kiss them my entire body, though thereâs not much of it being that I am so thin, feels like itâs on fire...in the best way.
My love has a smile you wouldnât believe, it manages to outshine even my pasty white skin. Yet despite all that, what really caught me the first time I saw them, and what would get you too, is their striking facial structure. Though it may seem a bit shallow, clearly God was feeling generous the day we met. I donât know why else someone with a face like that would be attracted to my soft features and weak chin.
Yes Iâm quite proud of my love, and now perhaps you can understand why.
âStay afraid but do it anyway. Whatâs important is the action. You donât have to wait to be confident. Just do it and eventually the confidence will follow.â
â Carrie Fisher
âCourage doesnât always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying âI will try again tomorrowâ.â
â Mary Anne Radmacher
âDonât ever think that everyone who leaves wants to.â

âI make no apologies for how I chose to repair what you broke.â

Colonizers write about flowers. I tell you about children throwing rocks at Israeli tanks seconds before becoming daisies. I want to be like those poets who care about the moon. Palestinians donât see the moon from jail cells and prisons. Itâs so beautiful, the moon. Theyâre so beautiful, the flowers.
