please take it from me that if you do not heal your inner abandonment trauma, it WILL become a self-fulfilling prophecy where you become someone who pushes people away with the way you act. it’s not fair and it sucks but it sets you up for even more abandonment.

this is something i will be working on healing for years. but it is so important to do for your relationships with other people and your relationship with yourself. please. don’t set up your house of cards in a way where you will, on your own, knock them down eventually

the correct answer for the trolley problem is to reject its oremise. is operating a lever really the only thing you could do? you could tell the operator to use emergency brakes. you could forcibly obstruct its path. you could untie the people tied to the tracks. you could use foresight to see the oncoming trolley and the inevitable harm it could cause and tackle the problem sooner than the 11th hour. but no, this framework demands you be complicit in human suffering because it is much easier to subdue a motivated individual by convincing them that a better world is not possible.
