alright I've got to do some quick math to explain attitudes towards AI to my boss.
we're looking to create an AI policy, and when we were talking about this, my boss (older millennial) was genuinely shocked to hear that younger people do not (seem) to view AI positively (a la the recent commencement speakers being booed)
please rb for larger sample size!
Question 1/3
What is your age, and do you feel AI is a net positive or net negative in our lives today?
under 18, AI is a net positive
under 18, AI is a net negative
18-29, AI is a net positive
18-29, AI is a net negative
30-45, AI is a net positive
30-45, AI is a net negative
46-60, AI is a net positive
46-60, AI is a net negative
over 60, AI is a net postive
over 60, AI is a net negative
Question 2/3
How often do you visit or interact with museums/archives (whether in person or online)?
Frequently (multiple times per month)
Often (multiple times per year)
Occasionally (a couple times per year)
Rarely (once every couple of years)
Never :(
Question 3/3
If you saw a museum was using AI in exhibits, marketing, research, etc., would you be more or less inclined to visit that museum?
under 18, more inclined
under 18, less inclined
18-29, more inclined
18-29, less inclined
30-45, more inclined
30-45, less inclined
46-60, more inclined
46-60, less inclined
over 60, more inclined
over 60, less inclined
Thank you for helping with this data collection. Please rb for as big a sample as possible!

Chapter 4: Two Days
(It's not fair to think about it like that. Nina or the Philosopher's Stone, or even the dog.)
(The lives of how many Ishvalans for the body of one blue-eyed Amestrian girl? No reasonable man would make that trade. It would start off reconciliation efforts on the wrong foot. It might not even be possible.)
"Roy - it's good to see you again. Though I'd never catch you without that gaggle of soldier boys," says Madame Christmas. Her gaze is sharp, perhaps green or hazel or the best of both; she wears the same cunning focus as her nephew.
Chris Mustang lounges, transmutes the visitor's chair into a throne. Cigarette smoke trailed after her no-nonsense entrance, tempered by a more discreet perfume. Poor Lieutenant Ross had seemed frazzled through the open door. Understandable; it's impossible not to feel underdressed in her presence. Riza would be more at ease with something to do, but Mustang - Roy Mustang - had assured her she could stay in bed.
The Colonel has conspicuously made his bed. He narrows his eyes, fond and frustrated at once. Torn between both his voice comes out shrill, almost whiny if not for the underlying worry:
"I'd like to say it's nice to see you too - but you really couldn't wait until the weekend? I'm very busy. Besides, people might notice⌠and people talk."
She shrugs with gusto; her cloud of tobacco smoke roils obediently. "Let 'em; if anyone asks I'm here to bill you for blowing up my bar. Better to get you before you run off to the East and avoid paying up."
Riza blinks in surprise. Her whole boudoir? The Colonel hadn't thought to mention that. He tries to knit his fingers together only to wince, embarrassed.
"I⌠suppose so," he says. Leaning forward he insists, "But still: you really shouldn't have. It's dangerous."
It's dangerous - and here she is. Because that's her nephew, playing it cool on the hospital bed, slipper kicking out restlessly. Colonel Mustang should be used to the loyalty he inspires. Love is similar in its devotion, if far more reckless. Judging by the Madame's demeanor it's a miracle she waited this long to storm the ward.
Thunderous and sudden, the jealousy hits her square in the chest. Crushes against beaten ribs.
(The Colonel is and was loved. Can she really be sure her father loved her? Certainly not more than his research. Not enough to hesitate.)

Worldâs most dangerous bird has bizarre, glowing headgear
Structures on cassowariesâ skulls fluoresce under UV light, hinting at a hidden visual signal
Often labeled âthe worldâs most dangerous birds,â cassowaries just got even more intriguing. The aggressive, flightless birds have structures on top of their heads called casques, the purpose of which has long confused scientists. To the human eye, casques look fairly plainâbut new research published last month in Scientific Reports finds this headgear fluoresces under ultraviolet (UV) light, possibly aiding the birdsâ visual displays...

that's solidarity baybeeee
Further context: Durham city council (Reform UK) cut funding and support for Pride. The Durham Miner's Association and other trade unions raised enough money for Durham Pride 2026 to go ahead - a direct call back to when Lesbian and Gays Support the Miners (LGSM) raised money for mining communities when Margaret Thatcher seized union funding during the miner strikes of 1984-85.
At the 1985 Labour party meet, the motion to support LGBT rights as a party was passed due to a block vote from mining unions.
Stephen Guy, the chair of the Durham Minersâ Association, said that when it became apparent Durham Pride was under threat, he took it upon himself to âencourage the trade union movement to step up and do the right thing, and stand shoulder to shoulder with the LGBT+ community [âŚ] They not only raised funds for us, but came to our communities, uplifted our spirits when they were down, and showed their solidarity.â
