Poem for zoya:
'Daughter of the wind! ' they chanted. 'All hail to you, daughter of the sea! '
I'm not your queen, she wanted to scream.
only a soldier, maybe a general, but never a monarchy queen.
She wanted to be loved, instead she was feared;
Bodies trembled, when she set her feet.
Anticipating the wrath of the dragon, residing inside their queen.
She brought them a myth, that was only there eons ago
She brought them safety
If she could, bring the stars down to their tiny hands,
She would.
With her came peace, came prosperity
And they thought wars would be an eternity.
The loving Queen, the bringer of safety,
All hail to you.
