The Take My Hand ExR Big Bang it's back again with this year's edition!

I'm so glad I got participate this time as a writer, since it gave me the chance to finally finish this idea that had been sitting on my WIP's for way too long.

Also, huge shout-out to @tollundmen who did the amazing art you'll find on the fic (you can also take a look at it here in their fabulous blog).

Day 02: Jealousy

For McLennon Week 2022.

Day 02 Prompt: Jealousy.

(This is completely ridiculous and makes no sense at all but I had a lot of fun writing it, so I’m not even gonna try to pretend I’m sorry). 

Paul knows —he knows, alright?— that he can be very demanding when it comes to his personal relationships. He’s been told plenty of times, either by his wanker of a best friend, George, or by his boyfriend, John, who’s opinion of said personality trait seems to shift depending on when and where and especially what Paul decides to be demanding about.

(Yes, he’s talking about their sex life. For someone who seems headset on going against everything he’s told out of mere spite against any sort of authority, John really likes to be ordered around in bed.)

But Paul’s digressing.

So yes, he knows he’s demanding and that one of the things he demands the most is attention. Which is, by the way, the thing he’s also not getting right now.

And it's all because of her.

Perched over John’s lap, with his calloused hands and long fingers wrapped around her curves, he’s caressing her with a gentleness any person would think it's impossible coming from normally harsh, abrasive John, and a soft hint of a smile plastered on the corners of his mouth.

He’s so enthralled he hasn’t even noticed Paul’s been standing in front of him for a good ten minutes even though he’s wearing the lilac button down that makes him look all soft and cuddly and hugs his body in all the right places, and that normally assures John won’t be able take his eyes off of him for the whole evening, but now… 

Feeling his patience running thin he clears his throat loudly and finally John deems to look at him, even if he doesn’t seem too pleased about having to tear his gaze away from his stupid new guitar to do so, the twat.

“We’re getting dinner with Ringo and Mo, remember?” he asks, and if he sounds a little bratty, well, he likes to think he’s at least a little bit entitled to it “But I can go alone if you want, to give you two a little bit more privacy.”

At that, John’s expression seems to perk up and his soft smile acquires a mocking edge that makes Paul immediately regret having opened his mouth.

“Aww, Macca, are you jealous?”

“I’m leaving now” he replies, rolling his eyes scornfully. But John moves faster, setting the instrument aside on the other side of the couch before grabbing him by the hips. At first he tries to put on a fight and get away but it’s half hearted at best and in the end simply lets himself be guided to sit on the spot the guitar was taking on John’s lap a moment ago.

“Want me to strum you like I do with my guitar, is that it?” John asks, his fingers moving from where they’re holding him to tickle Paul’s middle, making him squeal “See what pretty little sounds I can get out of you?”

“You’re so corny,” he tries to sound annoyed by the cheesiness of it all but can’t help the laugh that surges from his lip at how ridiculously charming John can be even when he’s being absolutely ridiculous. 

“Say’s the guy who’s jealous of his boyfriend paying attention to an inanimate object,” it’s John’s retort, still sporting his shit-eating grin. 

Paul only feels slightly bad for hitting him in the face with one of the cushions before pushing himself out of his grip .

“Shut up, we’re gonna be late.”

Day 01: Hamburg

(Kinda smuttish. Nothing graphic, but... just so you're warned (?).)

If Paul ever asks about it, John would say it’s the beer. Or the pills.

He would try and justify it with a flimsy excuse about how wired the mixture of them both makes him feel, a sensation that intensifies and becomes almost electric when he finds himself playing for hours straight in a warm room full of people dancing to their music (even if they’re not exactly going there to see them, yet).

It's a start. The beginning of everything they’ve ever wanted, making a living out of music and putting their name in its history alongside the likes of Buddy Holly or Chuck Berry.

“John”

(When he listens to Paul moan his name with his lips half-parted and his thighs tensed under his touch, with his fists opening and closing into thin air trying to grasp into the dingy wall John has gotten him backed into, attempting to hold onto something and put himself together, John thinks that alone would be enough to make him feel satisfied for a lifetime, history be damned.

He doesn’t need a thousand birds screaming his name and passing out everytime he does as much as wiggle his little finger when, after John manages to make him come with his mouth or a touch of his hands, Paul looks at him hidden behind his long dark lashes and an expression on his face that can only be described as besotted.)

If Paul asks, John would say he has to get rid of all the pent-up energy one way or another once the show is done and the night is over. Since the owners of the club would probably not appreciate him trashing the place, he has to go on a different route and sure, he could take the easy way out and pay for it just like little George did that one time, but he has always liked to think of himself as someone who prefers to be creative — and not gonna lie, also a little bit of a wanker.

“Oh fuck, John, I’m…”

(He would never admit that yes, the hard-on he gets has half to do with the excitement of the performance but the other half is more related to the way Paul looks, bright eyed and all smiles, hair plastered against his forehead after playing for god knows how many hours in some poorly ventilated pub while dressed in leather.

It probably has a lot more to do with it, actually.

Because even with that naive look conceded to him by the naivety of his fifteen years and the big doe eyes, Paul has been a sort of vision ever since that very first day John saw him at the fete. There was definitely something quite rock n’ roll about him fiddling with his guitar while wearing that ridiculous white and silver jacket, and the even more ridiculously tight trousers.

But seeing him like this, right on his element, he even dares to think comparing him to Elvis might have been inaccurate. Elvis has nothing on him. )

Yes, if Paul only asked, John would have a choice of answers ready on the tip of his tongue to shut up that and any other further inquiries he could think about.

But Paul never asks.

Probably because he knows John is full of shit and would never give him a straight answer.

(Still, every now and then he’ll catch Paul looking at him in a way he can’t (or doesn’t really want to) decipher, afraid of what he might find. And he dares to hope that the real reason why Paul never says anything about it and instead almost everytime after that first night manages to find his way into some lonely backstreet or poor lit corner, blowing off Pete’s invitations for another drink and avoiding George’s questioning looks when he refuses to go back to their hotel with him, is because he already knows what the answer will be.

That he knows John wants him. And somehow, for some inexplicable reason, he wants John too.)

But just because Paul never asks about it, it doesn’t mean he doesn’t ask some other things.

“Well now, it would only be nice if I returned the favor, don’t you think?”

I had a lot of fun working on this piece and it was super difficult to pick one scene to illustrate because the fic really is *THAT* good, so go an read it!

Two years ago I watched this really random video in my French class about a lady trying to live her best eco-friendly life and there was a scene where she got a chicken and brought her back to her apartment in her bicycle. For some reason, the first thing that came to my mind after watching that was Jehan riding their bicycle through the streets of Paris while running errands in the company of their pet chicken.

Et voilà, two years later I finally made the drawing, which I think tells you the most important things about me: My weird-ass memory, my commitment to my stupid ideas and the fact that I'm a huge procrastinator.

(I still have no name ideas for the chicken, suggestions are more than welcome since I probably would like to draw more of the adventures of Jehan and their pet chicken)

Small and bitter, like a cup of espresso.

(Aka, I had the time of my life doing this, it had been a while since I enjoyed drawing so much…)

I want to write a fic that’s sorta inspired by the movie Enchanted:  Prince Roger Taylor (who is well known around the kingdom for being a total player) fools around with the wrong warlock (Tim) and ends up being cursed and sent to a place where ‘happy endings do not exist’ (aka modern London city). The only way he can make it back to his kingdom is if he truly falls in love with someone and said person reciprocates his feelings.

Cut out to him meeting a trio of really weird college students who more or less believe his story and decide to help him get back home: the shy electric enginner John, flamboyand graphic designer Freddie and geeky but also frustratingly handsome astrophysicist Brian maybe falling in love might not be as complicated as Roger thought.

Anyway... would anyone be interested in reading it or...?

Can you believe it only took me like for-fucking-ever to do this? I had a couple of busy days, weeks, months, life honestly, trying to be an adult sucks, can I just like never graduate university and stay home drawing? Anyway… Hope you’re still somewhere around here anon, and that you like the drawing.

I’ve been trying using grayscale coloring lately, so this was just an excuse to keep experimenting, and tbh I’m quite satisfied -also, the lineart wasn’t as messy as ever so… Ten points for Ravenclaw for my effort?

I might take a while cuz that’s just who I am as a person, but if you want me to draw your favorite pair of losers with an unsuspected style consistent art style? sorry, we don’t know her then check this post and hit my ask with one of the numbers.

People think Bill is the one who kissed him first. After all, Bill has always been the bold one. They don’t know it was Stan on a fresh autumn evening spent at the barrens when they were barely fifteen.

 It was scary, surprising, and everything he had ever wanted.

I started drawing this when the CareBear episode aired and then forgot abput it until a few weeks ago (and then I forgot to post it, because yes, my brain is that great at remembering stuff).

Say whatever you want to say but Adrien and Chloe are my #brotp, I love the whole rich kids that grew together and share parental issues (its a special kind of bond, okay?).
