Troy grew up with his loving parents for his whole life and it seemed like he had the perfect life and he did for a lot of his childhood. 

But when he was a teenager and his younger brother and sister was there too, it was like he wasn't there and he felt like he wasn't wanted in his own family. 

He was definitely the outsider in his family because although he wanted to study business just like his dad in the future, he had a massive passion for performing and he never knew how to pursue it or even talk about it because every time he brought it up, is parents just kind of ignored it. 

He left Tupelo for college and moved to New York and he was definitely in the right place, he loved the city and he made loads of friends and made a lot of memories there. He went to study Business there in NYU and it was the best experience he got. 

Growing up he always questioned his sexuality, he was never sure, but when he was in college he came out as Bisexual, he was definitely interested in girls but he was also very much interested in guys. Though he experimented in his first year of college where he slept with both girls and guys. By his second year of college, he got into a serious relationship with this girl Quinn. She was everything and they were together for a very long time, up until he was 25.

When he was 25 he got a phone call from his brother and was told that his mom had passed away suddenly, it wasn't expected and he was in shock, although he felt like an outsider in his family, it got him a lot more then he thought, so when this happened he made the decision to leave his favourite city and move home, and when Quinn said she wasn't ready to leave the city, that ended their relationship and it broke him because he had brought an engagement ring for her but he accepted his decision to move home and be with family and get a job in Tupelo.

Greer couldn’t help but laugh softly at Troy’s words, nodding slowly. “Wow, okay,” she said with her hands held up in surrender. “That’s a very convincing argument you make there. I take it you’re not a big fan of your ol’ man?”

Troy looked over at her and laughed a little, he loved his dad but didn’t like the idea of being a business man and his dad wanted that for him. He shrugged, “Not a big fan of the things he wants and thinks I should do.”

honestly, it had been almost nine years since chloe has seen troy, honestly one of the only people she has really fallen in love with. and the break up was … not the best. when she moved to tupelo, she didn’t even think she would see him, but the town was a lot smaller than she thought. “uh yeah i um….” she said softly. she tried to make up an excuse, knowing edna didn’t want people knowing she was sick. “the city wasn’t quite working out for me, and my grandma needed some help. and cece got a job at the hospital, so it just seemed like the right thing to do.”she sighed, knowing he probably wouldn’t take it well, after what happened, especially with him sassing her back. to be honest, she probably deserved it, but that didn’t mean she still wasn’t chloe. “woah okay, nine years later and we can’t have a civil conversation?” she said, as all the alcohol she consumed just made her bitter. “i just got here a week ago, i’ve been settling into my job, finally fixing up edna’s house and trying to adjust to living here, but i’m SOO sorry i don’t call you up, when i didn’t even know if you still lived here.” she sassed, taking the drink called the bloody nipple and finishing it. troy was totally right, it was awful, but not like she would give him that satisfaction. “oh i’m GREAT by the way, but you wouldn’t want to know that, cause you decided to be a bitch to me.”

Troy was still in shock to see her there, it had been nine years and he thought he would never see her again that it was all a little confusion for a moment. he stood there and looked at her, the pain came back to him but he tried to hide it. he sighed, “It wasn’t working for you? And I never thought you would get bored of the city.” He said sarcastically for a moment before shaking his head, “Sorry that was maybe too rude of me. Welcome to Tupelo I guess.” He said before he looked at her rolling his eyes, “Nine years doesn’t let me forget how hurt i was back then, I don’t know if a civil conversation can happen just yet. I loved you Chloe and it is hard to just forget  that I loved you. It’s hard to forget that I had all these plans to propose and thought you were the one for me. I’m sorry I had to move back home because my mom passed away. But I was stupid enough to believe that you would want to come with me.” He stated looking down at the floor, he had been holding onto that for a long time, maybe he should have moved on, maybe he should forget that and be civil but it was hard for him to do so. He sighed looking at her before running a hand through his hair for a moment, he knew he should apologise because he would soon regret acting like that “I’m sorry Chloe, it’s just.. It’s all a shock and seeing your face again after so long  brought it all back and I just.. I’m sorry okay. But in all seriousness are you okay?”

“I mean, they could, I guess,” Greer shrugged. She wasn’t really one to push the envelope and ask for things that weren’t given to her when it came to bars. Granted, she held her high expectations to other areas of her life. “You should open your own bar and then you can do live music whenever you want, and you don’t even have to play country.” 

Troy laughed a little taking a sip of his drink for a moment before looking over at her for a moment, “Oh no I am not going to open my own bar. I don’t want to run my own business. Not a thing I wish to do. I don’t want to give my dad that satisfaction.” He laughed a little looking over at her for a moment.

“I know they have the comedy club here in town, but why not have an open mic as least once, or even twice a month?” Larken questioned. “Plus, it doesn’t always have to be here at Bob & Ringo’s. There’s plenty of bars that could take turns in hosting it– if they don’t want responsibility. Maybe, we can look into hosting it and just see if the bars would be willing to have us there.” She smiled over at Troy, “Whiskey Sour, please. It has been a long time, what a shame.”

Troy nodded, “That is exactly what I was thinking. An open mic night would be a fun night and a chance to show off some talent in Tupelo.” Troy nodded looking over at the girl for a moment, “Exactly, we should definitely look into it for sure. I miss performing.” He smiled looking over at the girl and nodded as he ordered her drink and his. As their drinks were made, he smiled, “Here you go. It really has.”

Noah laughed, nodding his head, “Hey, what are friends for then, huh?” He was definitely known for his loyal tendencies when it came to his friends. “Sober, yeah? I feel like most people need a bit of alcohol to get up there and sing.” Noah admitted to Troy with a small laugh, shaking his head. He knew that he would. 

Troy looked over at him and smiled, “You are a great friend Noah.” He smiled looking over at him taking a sip of his drink for a moment, “Well I love to sing and my voice sounds so much better without being drunk.” He laughed a little looking over at the guy for a brief moment.

Augie relaxed back onto the mattress, letting his eyes roam over the man’s bare body. He couldn’t help but admire it, more than grateful that he was able to get a taste of it. There was something about feeling Troy’s body pressed against his own that he craved. The other was ridiculously talented, way more than Augie could ever claim for himself. If he could lay there for hours listening to the other sing, he would. “Sing for me like one of your french girls,” Augie cooed teasingly but stopped the second after saying it. “Wait… that’s not right. Or, is it paint me like one of your french girls?” the man question. It was told that he was the village idiot, but he wasn’t an idiot at all. Augie just acted like one.

“Will you play for me,” Augie quietly requested as he sat up, moving to the edge of the bed and reaching out towards Troy. “Please,” he whispered and let his lips linger over a bare shoulder.

Troy looked over at the guy for a moment and laughed a little as he was standing there, the presence of Augie always made Troy smile. There was always a part of him that wanted to imagine a night with just them too but then who wouldn’t after all Augie was a very attractive man. He stood there, “I mean I would definitely sing for you but it is definitely paint me like one your french girls. And I definitely cannot paint unfortunately.” He laughed a little looking at him. 

“You want to sing for you?” He asked before looking over at the guy as he sat there on the bed looking at him for a moment before taking a deep breath for a moment as he bit his lip for a brief moment.  “Hey Jude, don't make it bad, Take a sad song and make it better, Remember to let her into your heart, Then you can start to make it better.” He smiled as he started singing Hey Jude by the Beatles.

“i’m goin’ to be honest with ya, troy. it’s not gonna happen. i’m not a singin’ and dancin’ kind of guy but if you want to give it a go then i wouldn’t mind cheerin’ ya on.” he encouraged with a small smile.

“But for me? You’re amazing friend Troy wants to hear you sing and dance. I will happily get on a stage and sing for anyone. But you can come to mine and sing and dance for me.” He laughed a little looking over at the guy for a moment.

chloe was about three vodka cranberries and one gin & tonic in, very much feeling everything you can when you’re that hazed. honestly she was still fairly new, and didn’t know too many people in town so getting drunk with the locals sounded pretty good at the time. and who knew what was going to happen. apparently, some guy at the bar telling her what to drink. “listen dude if i want to try something called the bloody nipple, i’m gonna tr-” she stopped in her tracks, once she saw who it was. no matter how many wigs and how much make up he wore, she could still tell that was troy clements, the guy she left back in new york. and she remembered he wanted her to move to his hometown, which now she thought, sounded a lot like this place. “troy.” she said, looking at him with semi wide eyes. “i uh… i live here now. i got a new job here, and my sister and i moved out here last week. and i was invited by some of the locals to the party.”

Troy was having a good night until he saw Chloe there, he thought he would never see her again, it had been years since they last saw each other but seeing her again was definitely a shock to his system and he didn’t know how to act. He took a sip of his drink but it wasn’t helping him at all. Hearing the words come from her mouth, he just wanted to walk away and pretend he never spoke to her. He looked over at her, “Wait you live here? Bu-But... What? Why did you move here?” He asked before looking around, “Well it’s a bar, you didn’t need to be invited to come to the party, but nice that you have made friends in town already but couldn’t even reach out to me knowing I lived here.”

“i gotta say this ain’t what i expected when you told me you was dressin’ up in drag.” travis was handsome and he he was hardworking but that didn’t mean he was the smartest man around. “i honestly thought you were dressin’ up as a drag racer, not a drag queen.” he added, laughing. he was clearly laughing at himself and not what his friend was wearing. he didn’t care what his friend was wearing as long as he was comfortable and happy. “how many weird looks have you gotten tonight? probably not that many, right? it’s halloween afterall and i’ve seen some strange costumes tonight.”

Troy was standing there looking over at the guy for a moment, “Okay and why would I dress up as a Drag Racer? What even is that?” He laughed a little as he ran a hand through his hair for a moment, he was enjoying his costume and he was enjoying the night before looked over at one of his best mates and shook his head, “A few but I have had more compliments over weird looks. My costume is amazing and I am definitely happy with this costume.”

A succession of squeals, increasing in treble, punctuated by the enthused exclamation of ‘oh my god, yes!’ shattered the bubble of conversation momentarily. As soon as Bree clapped eyes on Troy’s frame, donned in all the fabulously colorful rags of true drag royalty, she couldn’t help but express her acclaim in the only way she thought appropriate. Loudly. The costumed kitty tossed her arms around the heeled male, drawing him into a tight hug before prompting him to give her a twirl. 

“Makeup on point and please explain to me how your ass looks better in those shorts than mine ever would” another, less disruptive, yelp of ardor dispelled from her painted lips. “You are looking hot to trot and every step you make better be the stride of a queen”

Troy never expected to get much attention of his costume, he always thought even if he did drag it wouldn’t be that big of a deal. That was why when he had a girl hug him and be all excited over his costume, he laughed a little. He was still in shock but smiled, “Well Hello, glad you are loving the costume.” He was chuffed, he put in a lot of hard work into his costume this year. 

“Well thank you, it was a lot of hard work and practice that got this to be perfect so thank you. Oh that I don’t know, but thank you.” He laughed a little looking over, “And don’t say that about yours, your ass looks great.” He smiled, “Well thank you I do love my outfit.” She smiled for a moment, “I must say though, you are looking very great and definitely quite hot in that outfit.”

“This? Please, this is nothing compared to yours! You’re lookin’ amazing!” Audrey cooed. She was all for extravagant and wild and Troy’s outfit was one of her favorites tonight. “But what inspired me you asked? While I don’t agree with Cruella’s policy over fur she’s still a boss lady in her field with a fabulous style so I can relate to her. Besides, I have all the elements to put the outfit together so.” She shrugged with a chuckle. “How about you? Tell me more while we get us a drink.” 

Troy looked over at the girl and laughed a little smiling over at the girl for  a moment, “Well thank you, I am honoured to have this praise from people over this costume. The hard work does pay off sometimes.” He laughed a little looking over at the girl and nodded, “Well that does make sense and it really does suit you. Go you.” He smiled looking over at the girl for a moment, “Oh well I just loved this musical when I lived in New York and decided I needed to try it out as a costume.”

He was dressed as buzz lightyear for the night but that wasn’t the only thing that was buzzed. Augie couldn’t turn down any drink when someone offered to pay for it. The man had taken off his helmet after the heat from the alcohol rose up to his cheeks. It only got worse when he saw someone dressed as Hedwig waltz up to him. He quirked a brow, smirking when they addressed. Though, he knew who it was by the sound of their voice. The man dramatically fanned himself when Troy winked at him. “Well, aren’t you a pretty little thing.” He cocked his head back to get a better lock at him dressed in drag. “Those shorts are doing something to me,” Augie whistled, “–and those heels.” He tsked, shaking his head. “You look beautiful,” he cooed. That wasn’t the only way to describe him. Troy looked fierce in the outfit, he pulled it off well. “I’m won’t say no to that,” he cooed and slid closer to Troy. “How’s your night going? Did you come with anyone?”

Troy loved his costume, he felt like he put in the effort and he felt like that gave him an edge and that he should win a costume contest. As Troy looked at the guy he was standing next to, he smiled, “Oh you know it. Always the pretty little thing.” He laughed a little looking over at him and looked over at him for a moment, “Things like what hey? What am I doing to you.” He smiled as he winked once again at him and smiled, “Oh well I am blushed. You look pretty hot yourself might I add.” He smiled as he tried to get the attention of the barman to order them a drink. He smiled, “Oh my night has been well interesting but good so far, and no I came all on my own. How about you? How’s your night? Did you come with anyone.” He smiled as he got closer to him.

Troy was definitely enjoying everyone’s Halloweens outfits, people had really put in the effort this year and it made him a happy guy. He loved Halloween so it was his chance to be all out there. He smiled taking a sip of his drink as he noticed Audrey there and smiled, “I really love your outfit, you did a great job with your costume, what inspired your costume choice might I ask?”

Troy was dressed up as Hedwig for Hedwig and the Angry Inch, he always loved the idea of going out as drag and he for sure had to make a statement that year because he wanted to try something different. He was definitely a little nervous about it all but at the same point he was excited. As he walked near the bar, he saw Augie standing there and smiled looking over at him, “Bet you can’t recognise that it’s me.” He laughed a little winking at him, “Let me get you your next drink Handsome.” He smiled looking over at him for a moment.
