Something I think few people notice about Vox and Alastor is the fact their relacionship with their media content is more alike than it seems?

Like, I get why some people tent to go along the lines of "Alastor is a sincere communicator cause he really loves his radio and really love being a broadcaster" while Vox is usually seen as "The big bad media corporate with no integrity". But, legit, lets face it.

Those lines are really blurry.

Like, for sure Alastor does loves radio. He loves so much he was a broadcaster his whole life and after life. However, is cleary also a tool for Alastor. He used it for broadcast his murders so people would know who he is. He used it in "Stayed Gone" just to mess with Vox and make him look like less of himself, something both funny and useful for Alastor. He even uses his microphone as a power source, showing how it actually is a tool. Alastor is not only some romantic artist who just makes radio just for the sake of it.

And Vox, in the other hand, is not ONLY a greedy TV business man who makes souless content for profit luke most people tent to project. Sure, he uses TV to manipulate the masses and create trash programs, too. (Like the "I fucked your sister, so what?" Joke.) But he is not just it.

I think there's enough in the show to say Vox really loves TV shows and making content. You don't create a whole midiatic empire without loving the content.

When we first see him, he looks proud when saying "That's good television." In his human life, we see him creating and working in many programs and formats. We see him genually offering many proposals to the channel owner (We don't know if they were good tho) In a background detail, we even see a note saying he create the "Shark week". So, he create a program based in the one thing we know he really loves, his dear sharks.

Ofc he is a egocentrical man who uses his media influence to take control over people, but I think this is the point: Just with Alastor and his radio, Vox and television are like a extent to themselves.

Because both of them love the media and feel entitled for people attention and adoration, they use what they see as the ultimate entertainment and news format as way to make themselves known.

Vox through flattery.

Alastor through fear.

I really like the lore behind Angel and his dad! It has been in my head since I first watched HH, and just become stronger after season 2 reveal Angel killed his dad.

I tried to draw some scenario where he first saw his father again when both were in hell. It's not like I imagined, but I think turned out nice.

A quick exercise I did for training expressions.

My character, Shang, I thought was perfect for this. He is real serious, but exagerated at the same time, so I could make some expressions that are expressive, but not much cartoonesque.
