   James dropped his arms, hands now balled into fists. She couldn’t have been serious. After everything Jack had been through, the idea that she could want him to toss out bonds of loyalty and friendship he had acquired before he knew this woman even existed was preposterous. 

          “So that’s it, then? 'Whatever'? What the fuck did I even come down here for, Jack? Tell me.” 

   Turning on his heels, the lieutenant maked his way to the steps, glancing back one last time at the biotic before shaking his head.                           ”If I wanted to be with Ash, I would be. Think ‘bout that while I’m gone.” 

            "JUST GET THE FUCK OUT, ALRIGHT?! GET-THE-FUCK-OUT!!" 

    In her sudden rage, Jack used her biotic strength to throw her cot across the room in his direction. She wasn't sure why this set her off so bad, but it had. 

                           Trust.....

               It was a hard pill to swallow. 

 Trusting Shepard had been difficult in itself. And now she'd have to trust again. 

      She cared for James more than she could say, more than she was willing TOO say. But what the fuck would he care? What did anyone? Somehow people just thought trust was like a tissue and you sneezed in it when you needed too.

A step into Jack’s mind and I’m completely blown away. I’m a soldier. She’s a soldier. I’d be really shitty at my job if I didn’t talk to my team. And what she wants is irrelevant. She knows where I stand and you—you have to trust me. Otherwise this ain’t gonna work.” 

                  Siiiiiighs. 

     This guy was an asshole. Why the fuck was she even considering this? So what if she was a soldier; she was a bitch. They had plenty of other people they could talk too. But it was clear by the look on his face that he thought her demands ridiculous---

                           ---which they were. 

           "Fine. Whatever." She conceded, hands lifting high in the air as if to further show her submission to the argument, and instead turned away from him. "Well, is that all then? Fuckin' done laughin' at me and shit?"
