Until…
Until the end of my tours. Until I come home for good. Until the end of our backpacking trip across Brazil. Until our house is finally paid off. Until our first born graduates college. Until we grow old and all of our children have children. Until you’re sick and the trips to the hospitals become ritualistic. Until you forget who I am. Until the night I pass in my sleep. Until the very end. I promise you, I will still be here.
Spend less money and spend more time. Work less, visit more. Speak lightly, and care fully. You’ll later realize that the sadness you feel now should have been spent being happy instead. Hope this helps.

I hate worrying about the future ‘cause all my fucking problems are based around the past
"Let’s just forget Everything said And everything we did 'Best friends' And ‘better halves’ 'Goodbyes' And the autumn night when we realized we were falling out of love (There were some things that were said that weren’t meant… Like we ‘never did’) Not to be overly dramatic I just think it’s best Because you can’t miss what you forget So let’s just pretend Everything and anything Between you and me Was never meant”
On my ride over to San Jose on Friday, I realized something. Ive always known for it to be true but never really believed in it. The world doesn't stop for anybody. People are just that--people. Now unless that person is of significance, the person across from you won't give two shits about you. Not even some of your good friends.. You have to do what's best for yourself and no one else. Home is always going to be there. Home will always be the same. I got a little sad after that, I'll admit. I couldn't seem to shake off my fear of finally "growing up" and leaving this place. Almost everyone I have met has either said I'm doing a great thing or that I should stay and pursue in my dreams Then I met Joseph Loughborough the other day at a cafe in San Jose. We talked about crappy public transportation in California, the US Navy and traveling, and life. He said something along the lines of how getting out of your comfort zone is essential for the creative mind. He also told me that persistence plays a role in success. If I keep at what I want to do, I'll eventually get there. California is my comfort zone and I'm leaving for Texas soon. I'm a little scared because I dont know where I'll end up after Texas but I'm also excited for the new adventures that await me. I've always wanted to travel. We also talked a little about how travel is meaningful. I interpreted that as anything. Walking out of your house to get your mail can be considered as traveling. Flying 5,000 miles away from home is traveling. Going anywhere from point a to point b is considered traveling and inspiration can come from anywhere in between. Do what's best for me. Do what I need to do to get to where I want to be, even if I dont like it just as long as I don't forget why I was doing it in the first place. I'm 20. Lost and still figuring things out. To him, I am just another person. To me, he lifted my spirits up so high after being so down and gave me a little pep talk without knowing it. I don't think I ever got to say thanks for being so uplifting. So. If you have somehow stumbled across this, thanks. :]
