Can we talk about how Wizardsmagic is one of the best things to happen to this fandom?

Reading through Ob-Nixilus' story again he mentions that his knowledge of the hedrons is surpassed only by Nahiri. Sorin seems reluctant to find/work with Nahiri. With that in mind, what do you think about Sorin seeking Ob-Nixilus for help with the hedrons to avoid confronting Nahiri?

Your question brings up something Ob Nixilis himself affirmed: he may be the only living being that knows how the hedrons really work (and we’ve seen how he was able to manage them in his escape from the underground confinement Nahiri sent him). If Nahiri really happens to be unnavailable, maybe he would be the only one capable of mastering the third element that Ugin and Sorin knows to be needed as part of an efficient strategy against the titans. But how would they discover it? Why would Lord Nixilis offer to help a plane he wants to destroy? What bargain would the demon propose and how would he convince the others that he won’t fail as Nahiri’s substitute? He may even fail on purpose, as we saw him lose on purpose in Duels of the Planeswalkers 2015, am I right?

Another point is that he could be the connection between Zendikar, Liliana, Garruk and a future block (Shandalar? Innistrad?). I believe this may be true because he and Liliana used the Chain Veil, and he is the living example of what could happen to her if she goes on descending into its corruption. This link is thin, but that’s exactly the kind of cliffhanger that narratives need to keep going on.

I didn’t know this, but it looks like Blood Artist is drawing Curse of Oblivion and the theory gets deeper then that. What if he is drawing the woman suspended upside down with her blood draining into a bowl. The art of Curse of Oblivion is the girl he’s painting, unconscious or dissociating or dying, dreaming/imagining that the sound of pouring blood she’s hearing is the sound of the ocean. [x]
