⧠Broken ribs suck. You donât just âwalk it off.â Breathing hurts. Laughing hurts. Existing hurts. Characters with rib injuries wonât be doing heroic sprints.
⧠Concussions arenât instant naps. Dazed vision, nausea, dizziness, maybe even personality changes, but theyâre not going to collapse neatly like in the movies.
⧠Blood loss is sneaky. Itâs not just about dramatic pools of blood. Itâs dizziness, confusion, and the body getting cold as circulation tanks.
⧠Adrenaline lies. Someone can take a serious injury and not feel it until the fightâs over. That âI didnât realize I was bleeding until laterâ trope? Very real.
⧠Twisted ankles are brutal. One bad step and suddenly running is off the table. Even walking hurts like hell. Perfect way to ground a chase scene.
⧠Burns linger. Even small burns hurt more than most people expect. Blisters, infection risk, constant pain, itâs not just a cool scar later.
⧠Dislocated shoulders = useless arm. Characters canât keep swinging a sword or firing a gun. Theyâre basically fighting one-armed until itâs fixed.
⧠Shock is a thing. Pale skin, trembling, rapid heartbeat, and eventually disorientation. A character might not even realize how bad their wound is.
⧠Stitches arenât magic. Getting sewn up is painful and recovery takes time. Theyâre not instantly battle-ready after a needle and thread.
⧠Scars tell stories. Some fade, some donât. Some stay sensitive forever. Donât forget the aftermath when the wound becomes part of the character.

I've been binge watching Rizzoli and Isles. Have to say I'm addicted and loving it. Thinking about writing for it. I know it's a 2010-2016 show. I would highly recommend it.
If you saw the show were you a fan of it or have you've ever seen it?
ALWAYS REBLOG WHEN YOU SEE SOMETHING LIKE THIS PLEASE; ITS SO MUCH MORE THAN IMPORTANT TO PEOPLE. IT MEANS EVERYTHING TO SOMEBODY AND EVEN THOUGH YOU MIGHT NOT SEE THIS IN THE SAME LIGHT, SOMEONE MIGHT. INFACT YOU REBLOGGING THIS COULD STOP SOMEONE TAKING THEIR LIFE TONIGHT.
Summary: Being a Voight is a very risky game you play every day. Messing with the Voight family is also a very risky game; some people need to understand that.

A Very Risky Game
Masterlist
All was quiet in the Voight household, as it should be, considering it was 3 AM. You were peacefully sleeping with your husband of 14 years, Hank Voight, your arm securely wrapped around your waist, your back pressed against his toned, muscular chest. This is how both of you got a good night's sleep and energized for what the next day should bring.Â
You and Hank have known each other since you were both younger. You were also friends with Camille Voight. You've been in love with Hank for a while, but so was Camille. She knew this, and you never voiced your feelings to Hank, so he ended up marrying Camille. You never knew Hank felt the same way, and it hurt him that you stepped back and he wasn't marrying you. You were constant in their lives. When she passed, she had it in her will that you two were to marry and take care of each other. You met Hank and Camille while you were in the Special Victims Unit, and all three of you hit it off and quickly formed a fast relationship. A crush between you and Hank formed. Camille found out and tried to give you a chance to be with him, but you backed off, and they married.Â
Being in the FBI was a dream of yours. You first started working with your sister, Oliva Benson, with the Special Victims Unit. After 4 years working there, you were requested and transferred to the FBI BAU in Quantico, VA, in 1999, where you worked under Aaron Hotchner, who became Unit Chief in 2005, the year your twins were born. Both of you grew close together, and you had been there just as long as he had. 2 years, 2001, in the BAU, you and Hank got together, and a year, 2002, later you married and shortly fell pregnant, but after finding out and going to work the next day, you were kidnapped and the stress caused a miscarriage. Three years, 2005, after being married and grieving, you had Nicholas âNickâ Oliver Voight and Clarice Neve Voight. Â
As you were lying in your husband's arms peacefully, the shrill of a phone ringing woke you from sleep because it just so happened to be the ringtone you set for work. When you heard that ringtone, you knew to drop everything and answer it. You really considered letting it ring, but Hank's gruff voice came to your ears, âAre you going to answer that?â He asked as it kept raining.
âI'm considering it.â You said as you reached for it. You look at the phone, which blinds you for a moment. You answer the call and bring it up to your ear. âBenson.â You said you listened carefully, âAlright, I'll be there in 5.â You said and hung up the phone.Â
âWhen are you going to change your last name to Voight?â Hank asked as you got out of bed and started to get clothes from your drawer. You looked over your shoulder at him, stopping your movements.Â
âYou know why. It's a very risky game.â You said, turning back to the drawer, that you had changed, then walked into the bathroom to brush your teeth.Â
âYou knew that when I married you,â Hank said, leaning up against the headboard, hands linked together behind his head. You turned around and just stared at his shirtless chest and well-muscled arms from the sink. You rinsed and spit and stood leaning on the doorframe, taking him in.
âI know, but everyone needs to know before I do so, and we have to be 100% sure about it.â You said walking over, leaning on his side of the bed, and kissing him. He slowly brought his hands to your face and kissed you gently. One that made you not want to leave him alone in bed. Before it could get too far and end up making you late for work, you pulled away, which had him chasing after you.Â
âI'll get you for that.â He said, and you turned and smirked.
âSo is anyone going to tell us why we're here?â Samuel âSamâ Grant was assigned to the bullpen of other very qualified FBI agents. His twin brother, Mason âMaseâ Grant, rolled his eyes.Â
âFor the millionth time, brother, you know details don't get told to us until the boss gets here. Man, it's like you just started working here and haven't been working here for 8 years now.â Mason said, which caused Sam to roll his eyes and shove his brother, who was sitting on the edge of his desk, away from him, earning a chuckle from everyone.
âYea yea yea yea. Whatever.â He said acting hurt, but it was just brotherly love. Just then, Jordan Robinson, the teamâs media liaison, came in.Â
âAlright, I just spoke to Y/N, and she said that she was 3 minutes out.â She saidÂ
âAny guesses on what this might be?â Jake Simon askedÂ
âProbably something bad enough to be getting us up at 3 AM.â Jane Aubrey saidÂ
âIâm just lucky enough that my sister is in town and can stay with Alexander âAlexâ and Athena.â Ryder âRyâ Arlen said, Alex and Athena were two siblings that he adopted after they were left orphaned after their parents had been killed during a case, as Vera Wright, the teamâs tech analyst, came walking in, and Sam couldnât help but look at her and reminisce about the life they had together before joining their divorce party, part of them, but wanted to be with each other still.Â
âIs Sidney joining us?â Vera asked. Sidney Davis is the Section Chief of the FBI Chicago department.Â
âYes, since it is local.â Jane said, and everyone nodded. The Chicago FBI building was modeled after the Quantico Headquarters building, but with some improvements, such as a larger conference room and more computers. The glass doors opened, and you walked through them, all eyes flashing over to you.
âGood morning, let's head to the conference room.â You said not to bother to stop by your office. Everyone got up and headed there behind you, and shortly everyone sat down. Jordan gave everyone an iPad that had everything digitalized. You nodded at her, and she started to speak.
âAround 12 AM, two bodies, one male and one female, and husband and wife, were found near the boat dock by two runners. Both were naked, and the husband had drugs in his system. CPD has called us to help out with this case. Intelligence has been contacted as well. Weâre going to need all the help we can get.â She saidÂ
âWas there any report of sexual assault?â Jake asked, looking through the files and pictures.
âIt says here that no sexual assault happened, but the male was more beaten up than the female.â Ryder saidÂ
âSo more than likely the husband was protecting the wife.â Mason saidÂ
âThat looks to be right. Alright, what can we tell about the unsub?â You asked
âProbably a male since he took down the husband as well, maybe a couple. He would have to be young to be able to subdue the male.â Sam saidÂ
âOr he could also be drugging the husband to make the wife more willing to come.â Jane said, and everyone nodded, some looking at the person speaking and some at the information.Â
âAlright, letâs get going. Sam and Jake, I want you to visit PD. Jane and Mason go and talk with the victimâs family. Ryder, I want you with me at the crime scene. Intelligence will be there waiting. Vera and Jordan do what you do best. I want everyone to act friendly and civil to each other. Weâre working the same case, and all of us are human beings.â You said adding in the last part since you knew they could have tempers sometimes. A collective of âyes maâamâ was heard around the room. Everyone broke, and you headed to your office. You set down your stuff, collected everything you needed, and then met everyone in the bullpen. 6 of you headed to your cars, and the other two stayed behind.Â

This is going to be an interesting case. Nobody on the outside of the team, besides Alvin âAlâ Olinsky, Trudy Platt, and Jay Halstead, and some of the Quantico BAU, Hotch and Erin Strauss, and some of the Chicago BAU, Sidney and Ryder, knew you were married to Hank but the rest only knew you were married and had kids, but that was it. You planned to keep it a secret until it needed to be known. As you watched the elevator doors close, you were mentally preparing yourself and getting your head into the game. This was definitely going to be interesting.

âCounting on it.â You said as you walked out of the room and to your kids' room, stopping at Nick's first. You peeked into his room to find him asleep in the middle of the bed, much like you and Hank slept when you stood by yourself in the doorway. His room was decked out with sports posters, painted dark Navy blue with white accents, and featured a gaming system and monitors on the wall next to his bathroom. He also had his sports trophies, medals, and ribbons displayed next to his TV, which was centered on his wall, in front of his bed. The closet was slightly messy but still clean enough that if you told him to clean his room, it wouldnât take long. He looked just like a younger version of Hank, with some mixture of you, but not a lot. You walked in, went over to his bed, knelt, kissed his forehead, and ran your fingers through his hair. He stirred a little, but did not wake up. âI love you.â You said and then carefully walked out of the room and to Claire's room. Her room was much different from Nickâs. Her room was spotless, and she also had a TV centered on the wall above her bed. The room was painted a light purple on top, with a white border separating a dark purple on the bottom. Her trophies, medals, and ribbons were located on the wall to the left as you walked in, and a coat rack on the right. Both rooms had a similar layout, as did their desks. She had a lamp that changed colors, lighting up her room, and the family dog, a big black German Shepherd named Trooper, was lying on her bed. He looked up at you, wagged his tail, and went back to sleep. You walked over, petted him, and did the same thing you did to her as you did to Nick. âI love you.â You said to her, then walked out of her room to the kitchen, grabbing what you needed. Once everything was in your hand, you walked out to the garage, got into your black FBI Suburban, opened the garage door, and turned on the car. You backed out once, cleared, shut the garage, and headed off to work.
âSo is anyone going to tell us why we're here?â Samuel âSamâ Grant was assigned to the bullpen of other very qualified FBI agents. His twin brother, Mason âMaseâ Grant, rolled his eyes.Â
