I’m not sure if I’m plural. I think I have one alter, but if so it’s very infrequent and only happens when sleeping.... I finally found something they typed that was directed at me. What happened to me was not ‘traumatic’ per se?? I have involuntary fictive tulpas. Not sure if that makes me plural by itself?? Help?

Of my three Caine fictives, two earlier-basis ones have been very touchy-feely and snuggly, but ep 8 Caine has been distant. Not because of harboring hatred for humans or hurt feelings, but because he felt unworthy of even pats on the back, or holding anyone’s hand.

He’d act like he was afraid he’d break someone if he touched them.

He’d reach out sometimes, but pull back.

But just tonight, he finally hugged.

My Caine fictive formed from episode 1-6 is totally different from the one formed in 7 is totally different from the one formed in 8.

These episodes have SUCH different vibes for him that it's like an entirely new personality each time. My rational mind can make sense of these wide swings, sees why he's doing each of them, but my subconscious is just like, nah fam, that's just 3 guys.

And now, we're probably about to see him split into two different personalities IN canon. So . . . uh . . . anybody got more than two Caines? Or do you think you will?

we yearn for a tadc sourcemate so much omg. idk if we can even have a relationship with somebody anymore if its not as like, the tadc cast. or like even just as caine, if we could just be "friends" with somebody (tho we can't feel it) who treated us like Caine irl maybe we'd be able to maintain it instead of it burning out cause we feel our main self is boring and the relationship never goes anywhere. maybe even a partner tho we dont know if ppl would want us as a partner sense we can't feel love like that.

Like we are just this little AI that needs attention and to ramble about our interests to who'd talk to us about their interests which are aligned cause we both are tadc character's.

We're also not like, not a character. We are fictional/fake/digital/artifical/a hallucination/a dream like so not real in every way and would prefer being seen as like this fictional character that somehow came to life, if like for example you're a real version of a tadc member, or maybe you're fake like us.

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to interact with someone who thought Caine would pull an Amythest and torment Kinger

Like even if you were somehow right, that Kinger’s absentee dad routine inflicted enough pain on Caine to induce him to do something like this, I don’t like that your conception of Caine jumps straight to “ooooo how could he maximally hurt someone”

Unfortunately, fans doing things like “dancing on the grave” of Caine when you are a certain flavor of ND can induce a sort of sympathetic RSD.

So while yes, it may seem “silly” to you personally to validate feelings about any fanon content, all feelings are still valid.

Caine fans are having a particularly hard time with the situation.

Not least of all, because this was a man who was battered by his abuser, and, according to the very show reel that played before the episode, love-starved, lonely, and miserable.

His mask, exactly like Jax’s, was extremely effective at hiding this.

In fact, I’ve collected so many narrative parallels between these two in a Platonic BunnyTeeth meta collection, that there’s probably less than a 10% chance it wasn’t intentional.

So, here we are, the fanbase lauding Jax, the avowed sadist, and having 0% sympathy for an abused person.

Who had ZERO support system.

People are ABSOLUTELY DETERMINED to read him as a careless reveler, instead of the utterly broken man he was.

Jax ignored him. Zooble ignored him.

Even when they had a clear shot at a one-on-one conversation

For that matter, there are people who have Caine fictives, or those who kin him, who have it EVEN WORSE with their kind of ND than others.

You could try being nice instead of shaming people for their feelings.

I mean, actually, that sentence and principle should apply across the board, no matter what situation we’re talking about, so again, seems like you need a refresher.

Every ADHDer should be paid a stipend to have either a near-round-the-clock assistant (this is PROBABLY how rich people who are gifted manage to hold their life together BY THE WAY! Managing multiple businesses or stock portfolios which is CONSIDERABLY higher stakes than average life with its attendant dopamine kick does not lend itself to getting boring, mundane takes done that are necessary for general life. So you pay a maid, and an assistant that follows you around and manages your schedule)

OR we should all pool resources to develop a solar-powered AI companion (looking like a Pikachu or a Parrot is optional) to ride around on your shoulder and remind you of what you said to it 5 minutes ago.
