Trans men from the global south are talking about their specific vulnerabilities and the horrific violence they face.

Trans men are asking the rest of the community to please care more about the fact that their hormones are a controlled drug and their identities are already on a controlled drug registry that can be very easily cross-referenced with agab to Pick Out The Trannies.

Trans men are talking about how TMOC have been targeted for sexual & physical harrassment because of their transmasculinitiy in detention centres.

Trans men are asking the queer community to stop claiming they have made 'no historical contributions' when 1) they have, and 2) they have been violently erased, institutionalised, and forced into marriage throughout history, and even those lucky few who went stealth were often discovered through forcible outing.

Trans men are begging the queer community to stop spreading transphobic lies that predatorjacket them as dangerous, violent rapists.

Trans men are mentioning that they are often ENTIRELY banned from playing on men's OR women's high-level sport teams, because those teams are allowed to 'make their own decisions' on whether to permit them while using a banned steroid, which usually, you guessed it, means they can't compete.

If you wanna call me a Trans Men's Rights Activist because I care about the rights of trans men, along with every other member of the trans community... go right ahead, I guess.

Being a trans man is wild because I'll see cis gay men talking about how they grew up thinking something was wrong with them because they never saw gay people, in media or real life, being treated as anything other than a joke. And queer people et al are like 'yeah that's so valid, this is why representation is so important'

Then a bunch of trans men say 'hey it's really hard to imagine ever having a future because I've never seen someone like me live happily to adulthood, especially not older adulthood'. And the exact same queer community goes 'yeah I dont really see how thats an issue?'

As someone who whines and bitches as a hobby on tumblr dot com about many a thing-- and also, at times, people like Lily Orchard, Patricia Taxxon, and ISFF-- for the trans babies at home who don't really have access to a community outside of the internet-- these people are outliers in the trans community.

That is not me saying trans people are physically incapable of being absolute fucking shiteaters any more or less so than the rest of the population-- but you can only be so aggressively antisocial in grass-touching space. I don't know what ISFF's irl life is like, but she posts like someone who has not experienced the light of the sun in a hot minute and has forgotten what it feels like. Lily is a known shut in who has admitted to alienating herself from her local queer community by spiteful choice. Taxxon has been kicked out of projects and spaces on multiple different occasions.

The only queer spaces these sorts of people could exist, let alone be so visible-- is online.

I know that's true, so I forget that isn't obvious to others all the time.

I have never heard the word "transandrophobia" said outside of academic papers, and the internet.

A decent portion of the trans women I know irl are so thoroughly stuck on the normie side of the internet and not whatever ninth circle of hell I've subjected myself to they're reference viral tiktok memes I've never even seen at me. And I'm constantly exposing myself as both old and ruined forever when I realize they don't know what the fuck Ram Ranch is.

They're getting their nails done and putting their dog in sweaters and building Lego deathstars and building PCs and watching Taskmaster. Their souls virginal and innocent to the horrors beyond human comprehension that have come out of the rotten cesspits of internet discourse.

I would be too embarrassed to explain to any of them anything to do with this tumblr account-- but if I did I'm of full confidence this would be an absolute shock.

The ones that I know who are aware of this bullshit also just had unrestricted internet access from an early age. Raised by the darkness. Molded by it.

So this is your daily reminder-- Tumblr is not real life.

Feminism is an equality movement, not a supremacy movement. The entire point of feminism is that women and men (and all other genders) should have the same rights and access to resources, and should be treated equally in society. This doesn’t mean you have to be nice or pull your punches when people are being genuinely bigoted, but it does mean that if you believe women are superior to men you’re not actually a feminist, you’re a supremacist co-opting the term. And yes, this goes double for trans people who should absolutely know better.

Is that trans man talking over women on a “woman’s issue” or is it just something that objectively affects him. Is that a woman’s issue or is it just something that affects people who society sees as women (not the same thing). Is that trans man “weaponizing his AGAB” or have you just forgotten that roughly 50% of humans are born with characteristics that make them a target of societal misogyny regardless of their gender identity. Is that trans man “invading women’s spaces” or have you arbitrarily excluded him from a space that should include him in the first place. Did that trans man actually do anything harmful or are you just annoyed and offended that he would say anything at all.

I can't be the only one who remembers that there were huge reddit and 4chan migrations to tumblr a couple years back can I?

Like can we stop giving people who say "pooner" "theyfab" "moid" "hon" and other 4chan slurs/dog whistles the time of day please? It's obvious these people are trying to overwrite the culture here.

I keep seeing people saying it's because of trans men or trans women being inherently predisposed to this behavior as to why tumblr is like this right now, and it's like..no! It's people of all different genders who came from a self hating cesspool and are trying to legitimize the use of their hate speech and toxic culture. Making it about people's gender is just transphobic!

Not to go all "back in my day" but I remember when people would warn about 4chan dog whistles like the triple parentheses on here and disregard anyone using it, and that was basically the era that was the height of "sjw" tumblr that was mocked by 4channers and redditors (probably because we didn't let that shit slide). I think maybe we need to bring that energy back?

I know it's easy to fall into the trap of constantly checking this tag but constantly looking for examples of people hating you will hurt you more in the long run.

You are valid in the hurt you feel from people who are supposed to be in your community downplaying your experiences, but you will get so much more out of celebrating trans joy than soaking in misery.

Go get a snack or some water, maybe sit outside if it's nice. Wash your hair. You're alive, and there is joy to be found in that.
