Holmes, who finalized her divorce from Tom Cruise last month, will start rehearsals shortly for Dead Accounts, her first Broadway show in 4 years. Her little girl Suri, 6, started school at Avenues in NYC last week.

Though her high-profile divorce from Tom Cruise continues to make headlines, Katie Holmes has other matters to worry about.

The single 33-year-old briefly mentioned her recent split from Cruise, 50, her husband of nearly six years. "I have a lot of feelings about the press," Holmes said with a smile. "There are a lot of people with much bigger problems and who are less fortunate. I try to keep it all in perspective."

As she adjusts to life as a single woman, Holmes says she's attempting to do something new every day, without "being afraid to fail." "Who cares? At least you tried," the former Dawson's Creek star reasoned. "It's usually the people who haven't tried who are the naysayers."

Action movie "Expendables 2" kept the No. 1 spot at U.S. and Canadian box offices for a second week as two new films provided light competition during a slow movie-going weekend.

"Expendables 2" won the weekly race with $13.5 million in ticket sales from Friday through Sunday, according to studio estimates compiled by Reuters. The film, starring Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and other 1980s tough guys, has pulled in $52.3 million during two weekends in theaters.

Miss China 2012 was crowned the winner of the global Miss World pageant held on August 18 in the Mongolian city of Ordos, a region of China. Wen Xia Yu from Liaoning, China beat a record 116 contestants during this 62nd Miss World competition. 

After the win for Miss China 2012, viewers immediately began suggesting that Yu only won due because of home-country favoritism.One Miss World viewer even claimed that the competition was rigged and fixed so that Miss China 2012 would take home the crown.

Her success might seem sudden, but her confidence did not come overnight. "I had to go through my own self-love, self-hate to get to where I am," Lawley told People magazine. "It took me years to watch other plus-size models be so confident with themselves. But then I realized that I could use my voice to be a positive role model for girls. Justin Timberlake wed girlfriend Jessica Biel in a secret ceremony on Saturday in Jackson Hole. "They pulled a fast one on everybody! They are in the middle of their ceremony at a very fancy private estate and members of the wedding party are staying at the Four Seasons Hotel there." as reported by a source.

The remote location for the ceremony likely stems from the place the couple's engagement began. Timberlake reportedly popped the question in late 2011 in Wyoming's Jackson Mountains.
