Jolyne: And my ref sheet is done! Wasn't sure I'd stick with my new colors, but they are just right in how they come together. Pretty uncomplicated fashion, but I like it better than the one before. Also, I do see unlike Piloup I have likes but no dislikes. Couldn't think of one that just apply to me right now. But that's why those ref sheets are simple. If we need, we can update them easy.

Piloup: It's done! We had to cut down info/drawings to really keep it simple. We'll come back to this to show more of the shapeshifting side, but for now just keeping it to this one form I like best. I guess we started with me because my favorite form to be in now is very different from the last one. I think at some point we'll need to make some sort of a guide so that in whatever form I'm in you'll know it's me (or you'll know how to draw me in any form)

Sophie: Ok. It's basically on my mind every time I see someone use it, so I made my own version of "I'm happy because everyone loves me." to talk about it.
Main point being: I see a lot using it on its surface meaning of joy, but what we see in it is just - not that at all.
I think it's mainly contained within the phrase itself. It just sounds so sarcastic. Why would you say that? As in - you not only have to tell me you're happy, and explain why. To my ears this sounds like: "I'm fine because everything is ok" Which should give a better idea of our view on this piece
You don't say something like that because you're fine or happy. To me this sounds like coping, this sounds like masking. This sounds like something you'd say to get someone asking how you're doing off of you. Which ... we're too painfully familiar with not to see it this way.
So - while I there is no issue with using "I'm happy because everyone loves me." in a positive way - I can't help but to have it feel wrong to me... like it's missing something when I think of the original.
So I said nothing

Since we're been having a lot of fun beating our friends in fighting games we thought we'd just draw ourselves as the character we played~ Jolyne as Jon Talbain and Kihl as Ms. Fortune Also Jolyne with a mane. That's it:)

Yep! Not done drawing from music videos we like.
I'll be honest, the version I listen to the most are the cover from GreenyPika and hugexhugo. But the lyrise in the post is from this english cover of the song by Stetson x rachie I also like. And again, making those has me learning more about the music vidoe I like and WOW have I missed a lot before doing this.
I generally got the themes of the song, I'm more so talking about the video itself. Like how Teto uses diffrent hand sign to ask for help twice. Once of which I should be familiar with by now with is to tuck your thumb into your palm and close your hand over it. You see that one at the end of the "guess the word part" of the music video. Which is self has a hidden message when takeing the first letter of each words!
As usual, we preject ourselves and try and see how this reflect for us.
I think the determining facter is how - through Miku, we see how we want to give up. Not in that we wanna lay dead on the groud, but stop having to suffer by ignoring everythings, how we feel, the state of the world, and enduleg ever deeper in our comforts until we stop exeisting without realizing. This - alines well with Sesh's point of view...
And in Teto, we see the part of ourself that just want to cry for help, that hates the idea of turning numb to escape it all. But who at the same time is just as powerless and direstionless, only able to resiste by force of will and awareness of factors and patters that would pull on us this way. This alines more with Piloup and her/my more recent develoment.
But - one last detail about the music video is that despite all the sign for help, all the resisting, at the very end you can see Teto sucubing to the hypnotisation as well. Which - has me thinking about how I couldn't exactly keep this up either... Desipte growing again, despite trying to find community where I live, despite knowing, I couldn't be so bald as to think I could never go numb myself. That after all these effort to make myself I'd actually give up. That it wasn't good enough to escape this, that I could never have. So - I just have to believe and - keep doing better for now.
We got back into using Paint to draw, and it feels nice! We really like how simple it is. We did already make CSP simple for ourselves but this is even just open and draw, and we loved that!
We're still using our favorite color palette, Cardboard Paint. Which is also a part of comefort and simplisity. 16 colors, that's it.
Really hope we keep doing this! This is fun and gets more drawing out of us.
