Sans woke up in a cold sweat, his bones rattling, unsure of why he had woken up in the first place. His eyelights were shrunken to pinpricks and his SOUL seized with the idea that something was terribly, terribly wrong. He grabbed at his heaving rib cage, certain that he would see a deep red gash of DETERMINATION something through it, yet he had no clue why he would think that.
"SANS, YOU LAZY BONES, GET DOWN HERE! I HAVE MADE BREAKFAST!" His brother called for him to come down.
His mind was filled with a blurry memory, the only thing he could make out was snow and his brother. He shook his head and shakily pulled himself out of bed. He attempted to shake off the exhaustion as another night of barely any sleep sunk in. The tired feeling he had sunk deep into his bones, making it feel as though he hadn't slept a wink. He knew this couldn't be the case though, simply because he woke up from that nightmare that he could no longer remember.
Down in the kitchen, Papyrus kept talking about how he could feel in his bones that a human would fall today. Sans had the same feeling, only it was accompanied by dread, the unease from his forgotten nightmare creeping down his spine. After forcing down his brother's honestly inedible pasta, no offense to Papyrus, he loved him, but his brother could not cook pasta to save his life, Sans had a strong sense of deja vu, but didn't pay any mind to it. A decision that would come back to haunt him, and not for the first time.
After they left the house, with Papyrus's steps quick and well-paced and Sans's slow, his feet dragging in the snow, Sans went to patrol by the Ruins. Just like he did every reset morning. To his non-existent surprise, a human child exited through the old magenta doors. The kid was covered in dust, an unnerving smile on their face.
The human stumbled through the snow, feet catching on ice chunks, arms hanging at their sides. They seemed like a puppet being controlled by strings, with the puppeteer being unskilled in how to make the marionette not look so boneless.
The smile was as wide as the kid's eyes, which were opened as wide as they could be, even with the gusts of wind hitting them in the face. They were unbothered by the cold, despite only wearing a blue and pink sweater, blue pants, and brown boots. Sans knew humans were more susceptible to the cold, but not even a shiver was going through their body. Their face was one he felt he recognized, the look of someone who's killed many times now, and he had to force down the feeling of being rattled, instead opting to try getting more information on them first.
Sans couldn't help but feel like he'd seen this all before, chills going down his spine with each second that passed, but he wasn't sure how they were familiar. He stalked them silently, hiding behind the pine trees of the pathway, eventually breaking a branch with his magic in an attempt to draw their attention, but they just kept walking. Sans was confused, but figured they probably hadn't heard him, so he approached them later on.
They turned around before he'd said to when he'd approached. Then they hadn't even attempted to play along with Papyrus's puzzles, and Sans could tell they were heading down a bad path, even tried to warn them against it, but they didn't listen.
Then he got a sudden feeling in his soul that he needed to go to the path to Waterfall as fast as he could, and he teleported there just in time to see Papyrus, arms wide to hug the human, have his head sliced off at the neck.
The child left as he turned to dust, not sparing a glance at him, and Sans ran to his brother as he dusted, crying pale blue tears as his brother's scarf fell into his arms. The short skeleton fell to his knees, tears falling onto his brother's dust as it was slowly covered by snow, the human continuing through the blizzard and leaving his sight. Sans glared after the human as he put his brother's scarf in a large inside pocket of his coat, pulling himself to his feet and brushing off the snow that had gathered on him.
He watched as they killed everyone else in the Underground, smiling as they turned everyone Sans knew to dust, and the skeleton knew his time was coming as well. Sans met them in Judgement Hall, the place of his oncoming death, and he could tell by their expression how many times he'd killed them, but then... he'd lost. He was slashed across the chest, bright red liquid he did yet didn't know he even had because he knew what it was and it shouldn't be possible for him to have it without dying from it. Only Undyne could have some Determination, and even that had caused her to melt eventually.
Sans wasn't stupid though, not with the way he seemed to sweat during their fight, his bones liquifying a bit as the fight continued, exhaustion seeping into his movements and slowing his attacks, but he'd been determined to stop them. Asgore and that stupid flower were the only ones left, other than the refugees, and when Sans had gone to check on Alphys... he only found her dust on the floor in the lab, away from the few remaining members of the Underground's population.
Everyone he knew was dead, and it was up to him to convince them to stop, to just Reset, an ability he'd figured out they had based on their expressions, and bring everyone back; give them the happy ending they deserved. They didn't want to do that, though, not when they had so much fun being a genocidal maniac ranking up LV and Execution Points like a trick or treater with a great costume getting candy.
Sans stumbled behind a pillar, not wanting them to get the satisfaction of seeing him die, his hands turning to a mix of dust and goo from the Determination he didn't understand how he had, and he sluggishly reached into his jacket pocket. It took a few tries, his hands not responding or just simply vanishing, but he succeeded at grabbing his scarf, DETERMINATION dripping from Sans's mouth and onto the dusty fabric. Tears fell from his eye sockets, holding the scarf to his chest and dampening it quickly as his knees gave out, his vision blurring and eye sockets almost melting shut before everything went black, his soul shattering a moment later after his body had dissipated into a mess on the floor.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Sans woke up again, clutching at his chest in panic, the same way he had previously, but this time, the memories of his "nightmare" remained, burned into his mind and covering his vision like a film he couldn't blink away.
Is this what he'd woken up from before, or had that all just been another bad dream?
Surely enough, it wasn't, as everything happened the exact same way all over again, the day filled with death and despair, Sans once again meeting his demise. The whole time he tried so hard to rationalize why they'd done this; why they felt such a need to kill everyone. They hadn't done anything to deserve such a fate, so why... why did they kill everyone?....

And again.And again.And again.
how many times had this happened?....
And again.And again.And again.
why didn't they just stop?
...And again.And again.And again.
They killed someone a different way, and Sans's soul fluttered with faint excitement from the change.
And again.And again.And again.
He didn't care anymore, he knew it wouldn't end.
Something new, more faint excitement.
Timelines blurred together, it could be a dozen or hundreds, maybe thousands.
..i.. don't...... care... anymore!
it's never gonna end, why do i bother pleading for mercy when they know none?
Another new thing, more excitement that grew in the overwhelming hole inside of him.
They offered him to join him, and he declined without a second thought, spitting DETERMINATION in their face as he died.
And again. They offered again, he declined.
And again. They offered again, he declined.
And again. They offered again, he declined.

-------------------------------------------------------------
It happened over and over, each time exactly the same, never changing other than Sans's deaths growing faster, the human dying less and less from remembering his attacks that he couldn't change.
He'd honestly lost count of how many times it'd happened, and he slowly became numb to it all. Death was a daily occurrence to him, his life so filled with the loss of lives around him before eventually his own, and it was such a monotony that Sans was completely desensitized to it. He didn't seek out his brother, he didn't try to stop Alphys from ending her own life, and he accepted his death at the end, no longer fighting to get them to reset, his requests lacking hope, and he just repeated everything because... well... nothing ever changed here, and if they wouldn't change things, why should he?
Sans was sure that if he didn't have DETERMINATION, he would be dead from a lack of hope, but he wasn't an ordinary monster, now was he?The human always seemed to look forward to him the most, eagerly anticipating their fight and killing everyone as fast as they could, hurrying into Judgement Hall to face him. He didn't know why they were so obsessed with him, but he knew it was a bad thing, and yet... he just couldn't care.
"this is it, huh?..." Sans asked again, the words practically a mantra with how many times he'd said them. He panted a bit, clutching his wound as he continued, starting to head behind his designated grave, "welp, i'm going to grillby's... papyrus, do you want anything?..."
"Wait just a minute.... I didn't come all this way for nothing." The human said, and Sans looked at them tiredly. Why couldn't they just let him die already? "I have a request to make of you."
"a request for you? after what you did?" Sans asked as Determination dripped from his mouth in the same way it always did, "hehe... go off yourself."
The human grinned at him, and continued, "Are you sure, Sans? If saved in time would you kill monsters with me? Try something new?" The human proposed, and it was absolutely out of question.
Sans's eyelights vanished in his shock at the sheer audacity they had to offer that to him. And then... Sans erupted in laughter, a forced smile on his face.
"i thought you were crazy before, but you really took it to another level. i will never be scum like you!" Sans snapped as he settled down from his laughing fit, his internal timer continuing to count down towards his death.
"You always do that.... the fake smile thing. You weren't like that, Sans. Not at the beginning..... Your smile was different at the beginning, you know my words are true. That smile is your one last hope. I remember how I thought. Your laugh.... your smile..." The human's face broke into a wider, unhinged grin, "Oh~ When I went back! That look on your face!" The human laughed.
"That first time that I Reset this world! You tried so hard to rationalize why! You started thinking 'Should I tell someone? They won't remember.... I.. don't...... care... anymore!'!"
Sans could hear himself thinking that, and he narrowed his eye sockets at them as they kept monologuing while he slowly died.
"You want to continue, or stop. Anything other than Reset. So.... To avoid the pain... you closed yourself off. But when I do something new, you feel something. Something new."
"i don't. i......" Sans started, but the human cut him off like they cut open his ribs.
"Don't lie to me, Sans. I have seen what you are! A part of you enjoys hurting me! Trying new things and feeling new things!" The human said, and Sans realized they probably figured out he remembered by him changing his attacks in an attempt to end their existence once and for all, despite him knowing that it was a fruitless effort, "And getting hurt by them. That's why..... I give you this opportunity to do something new. I want you to kill everybody with me, but don't worry, they won't remember after I Reset. Come with me, Sans! Let's kill them all!"
They were actually crazy!
Sans spat DETERMINATION in their face, glaring daggers at them as the liquid dripped from their skin onto the floor, like the wound on his chest dripped, like the Determination on their blade dripped.
"like i said..... no........ go... ... off... ......yourself." Sans spat, eyelights weak and he felt himself being a moment away from dusting, seeing and hearing one last thing before he died again."This is the one hundredth and seventy sixth time you've said no to me! Maybe I need a new way to persuade you."
Their grin widened to an almost inhumane degree and a bright flash of red shone through the room. He felt an intense crippling agony and pain, one that had never been there for any of his deaths.
Despite the pain in his SOUL, he had a thought, a single thought, one that was filled with a sick kind of joy.
well, this is certainly new.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Something changed. Something in his SOUL changed, he could feel it the moment he woke up. He wasn't sure what it was, and a part of his soul was almost excited by it, and Sans spend the timeline trying to figure it out, but nothing held any promise... until their offer once again came to him as he turned to dust.
"Oh come on, Sans. That's the two hundredth time you've said no to me." The human sighed as he stared at them blankly after rejecting them, but this time it seemed more difficult to do so, something pulling at his mind to just say yes. "Don't you want all this to end? I know you don't feel anything anymore, but I'm offering to change that. I'm offering you to feel something new. You'll only have to do it just once, and then it'll all be over... So what do you say?"
They offered him their knifeless hand, and he stared at it in defeat and pain... before finally shaking it, his body practically moving on it's own. Their face lit up with a sinister grin.
"See you next Reset then, comedian." The human said, and everything went black as he turned to dust.
-------------------------------------------------------------
When he woke up, he just teleported outside of the Ruins, skipping breakfast, and not long after, the dust covered human exited the Ruins, looking at him with a smile.
"Ready?" They asked him, and he nodded, just wanting to get this over with.
They both massacred the Underground in no time, monsters screaming in panic, fear, and confusion as one of their own slaughtered them alongside a human.
A part of him even found it fun, just like they'd said, but he buried that feeling in numbness, the timeline flashing by in a blur of emotions, pain, screams, and something new. One timeline turned into two, which turned into three, which turned into.... Sans lost count.
They told him so many things; that their name was Chara, about themself, and in return the words of his own life and experiences pulled themself out of Sans's mouth, without his consent.
They'd whisper things to him, murmurs that echoed in his head endlessly, sometimes replacing any and all other thoughts. He could go on autopilot after so many resets, just following their instructions and letting his mind empty was so much easier than dealing with the pain of the emotions Chara promised him would go away, as long as he listened to them...to his best friend...
-------------------------------------------------------------
One reset, things changed. Chara said they wanted to try something new..something that would make things so much better.
"i ain't sure about this, chara. you won't even tell me what you have planned and-" He gasped at the painful tugging on his SOUL. Chara glared at him, their smile predatory, as they slunk closer with the knife.
"Now, partner, that isn't the way you talk to your best friend, right~?” He couldn't stop the slight rattle in his bones, no matter how much he tried to. "That's not how we treat our friends. We have to protect them! You want to protect me, right? To help me? You know what happens when you don't."
And he did know. He knew. Images of past resets were carved into his SOUL.
He looked at his phalanges and it was almost like he could see it, determination leaking from them after his best friend branded him with their name. To make sure he remembered who he belonged to treated them nicely.
He could feel their hands grabbing at his ribs, sticking their fingers in between them and tugging and pulling, and cracking them. Sometimes they tickled him, made him laugh until it made him hurt, and even when he begged them to stop they would not.
He could taste the chocolate in his mouth as they made him eat it until he was sick. He could feel the magic bile rising in his throat.
He shook his skull, not wanting to think about it anymore.
"er, right. yeah, of course I wanna protect ya, chara. we can go ahead with whatever this is, I don' mind." Their grin turned Cheshire like again, and they removed both their SOUL and his.
-------------------------------------------------------------
He woke up the next reset, crying in agony and pain.
His SOUL writhed uncomfortably outside of his body and he felt so violated and vulnerable. The SOUL was mixed in a red and white target pattern, shaped like an upside down heart.
It spasmed and contorted painfully and he panicked. Why did it look like this, why was it like this?!
why why why why why why why whywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhywhy
He came back to himself suddenly, covered in dust. He was standing in front of a lake in waterfall, staring at his reflection. Black, tar-like tears of broken determination and hate were leaking from his sockets. He attempted to wipe them off, but to no avail, they had stained his face and kept coming. His soul was shifting agonizingly between target shaped and heart shaped.
"...why is this happening?!" He cried out, turning around to look for his best friend. Chara was close behind him, smiling their emotionless smile. "this- what is this?!"
"It's broken determination, partner! You have so much of it, it's leaking out your sockets!" His rib cage heaved with panic. He couldn't understand, he didn't want to understand.
"monsters can't have that much determination-"
"Then I guess you aren't a monster! I guess that would make you human, but..you'd still dust if I killed you! And that soul isn't exactly human either." They had a playful tone to their voice, but he could only sit there, feeling the tears roll down his cheeks.
"if i'm not either of those...then what am i?" He sounded so broken as he asked that question, and yet the only answer they could give was one he had long since come to expect. The answer he hated loved.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Everything felt like it was changing too fast for him. The only constant was Chara's presence that grew to be a chilling reminder and a twisted comfort at the same time. Everything flickered after the blur continued for a while, and he found himself seeing his own hands opening the closet in his room, Chara leaning against the wall, looking at him with a smile as he searched through his clothes for something new.
They stepped behind him, an arm around his shoulders and their mouth next to his skull, whispering things to him.
He stilled, hand hovering in front of a purplish blue jacket.
"No, that isn't right for you, partner."
He moved his hand away from a light gray hoodie, hovering in front of a dark blue jacket with a fluffy tan hood, waiting for their approval or denial. They hummed next to him, and he saw them nodding from the corner of his vision, so he grabbed the jacket, putting it under his arm as his hand hovered in front of a black turtleneck.
"That looks good, pal. Grab that... It'll make your soul stand out more..."
Sans grabbed it, his hollow eye sockets hiding his gaze as he looked over at them.
"Good. You have good taste, partner..."
He reached towards a pair of dark blue shorts upon looking back at the closet, and Chara tsked, making him stop moving.
"No, not that one. You lost me there. Grab this one instead."
Their hand reached forward, their arm now visible as they gently grabbed his wrist. He let them move it to a pair of white shorts with a black stripe on each side, an inverse of his current ones. Their arm was a green sleeve, Sans able to see what they really looked like outside of the body they were possessing, controlling it like a puppet. It was almost the same as how they were controlling him, but they didn't need to possess him for that.
He let them guide his movements like he was nothing more than their marionette, not unused to them touching him like this, his arm slack as they moved his arm to it, holding it there.
"Right there. That one. You're going to look much better with this wardrobe change, partner... You'll be perfect..."
He grabbed it, and Chara grabbed a pair of blue sneakers from off the floor before pulling him into a tight hug, squeezing him a bit when he didn't initially return it, and he realized his error, hugging them back.
The gesture meant nothing to him, but it probably meant something to them, and he was supposed to make them happy, right? That was his job... That and killing... Why did he do that again?... Oh, right. Their words replayed in his mind, a helpful reminder to him to remember his purpose.
"As my best friend, you'll do anything to make me happy, partner, won't you?~"
-------------------------------------------------------------
He was walking through Snowdin, Chara next to him as they killed all of the monsters in the area. The snow was falling around them, and it was mixed with the dust of the lives they'd taken. He could feel something new in his soul, and he savored the feeling, wanting to feel as much of it as he could before it vanished again.
He headed into Grillby's, a water bucket behind his back, and Chara was peeking around the corner of the window after him, watching him in interest. "hey is anyone here?" He asked, hiding the bucket of water behind him, knowing a certain fire monster was here and would remain here for the rest of the timeline... as a corpse.
"Sans!" Grillby exclaimed, rushing over to him, "Ah, thank the stars you're ok!"
sans? who is sans? was it someone we killed? do i look like them?
Grillby put his fiery hands on his shoulders. The warmth would've typically been comforting and soothing, but it did nothing for the numbness he felt other than make his SOUL pound in his chest at the nearby kill.
His SOUL had started enjoying killing; the emotions soothing the aching numbness, and the LV helped too. It was just this once, and then it all stopped. The guilt would stop, the LV would stop gnawing at him; it was all just this one time!
"Your brother was looking for you." Grillby continued, voice gaining an urgent tone, "There's a human killing every monster they see and we have to go right now!"
"grillby." He said flatly, getting the fire monsters attention, "i want some ketchup."
"Ke-ketchup?" Grillby asked in shock and surprise, "What... Sans... Did you not hear what I just said?! There's a human ki-!"
He brought the water bucket out from behind his back, chuckling a bit in anticipation, a forced smile on his face, Grillby's fire reflecting in the water. The laugh was still flat and numb, no emotions truly behind it, but he can't remember the last time there was. Everything he was was fake.
"Sans... what are you doing?" Grillby asked, stepping back, his only response being the emotionless face of the skeleton, who took a step closer, "HEY SANS, STOP! STOP IT, SANS!"
He broke into another fit of laughter, the sound hollow and unsettling, easily able to send chills down even the fire monster's face, pun unintended.
"Sans if you do that I will be-" Grillby started, only to be completely drenched in water.
Grillby yelled out in agony, his constant flames weakening and shrinking, being snuffed out by the water. He yelled out in anguish again as the water froze him, extinguishing some of his flames and leaving him weakened, body barely aflame. He used bone attacks against him, pinning the weakened monster against the wall, two bones sticking out from his chest with others stuck in the wall around him.
"Why.... did you do that?" Grillby asked, barely getting the words out through the pain, both horrified and shocked.
He chuckled again, a bit of madness seeping into it this time as he replied.
"why not?" He said with a murderous smile.
Grillby groaned in pain, gasping out-
"'Why not?'? Sans, you're not like this. What happened? The Sans I know would never hurt his friends or his family."
He summoned Gaster Blasters behind him, his hand alight with magic as they charged up their lethal beams."i'm really sorry, grillby, but i have given up on all of you." He replied, voice empty, voice not having any true remorse."Sans wai-!" Grillby yelled, only for the blasters to fire, killing him.
Grillby didn't turn into dust, instead a pile of ashes that floated through the air, the glasses broken on the ground, the suit burned and damaged beyond recognition from the blast as smoke and embers floated through the air. He would be coughing if he had lungs, and he shuddered at the pleasing feeling of the kill, and he felt his LV go up. Everything faded to black and then....
-------------------------------------------------------------
"Time to try something new, partner! I decided that I am going to let you have the pleasure of killing Toriel! Isn't that exciting? Aren't I such a good friend?!"
He nodded, allowing Chara to puppeteer him back into the ruins they came out of. They paraded him through the catacombs and into Toriel's house. He stood there blankly, looking but not truly seeing, not truly knowing who he was killing.
The goat woman was in her kitchen, humming a tune while making her butterscotch cinnamon pie. She had her back turned as she rolled out the pie crust, completely unassuming.
"She's turned around! This is going to be so easy. She won't even know someone is here until you strike!" He remained silent as they mused happily. "Now, I want you to knock her unconscious."
He nodded, summoning a bone attack and raising it high above his head. Right when Toriel turned around, he struck, bringing bone right down on the center of her head, knocking her out.
"Now use blue magic and bring her to her room, then lay her on the bed, make sure she's all nice and comfy." He obeyed without hesitation, just as he always did.
His magic lit up her SOUL and he dragged him to her room. He laid her down in a comfy manner, making sure her head rested on the pillows.
"That's perfect, partner! Next, I want you to take off your shorts and summon your ecto for me, can you do that?" He didn't know why they asked that of him, but he did what they wanted with little fight.
His now red magic pooled around his pelvic bone and formed his dick. The magic swirled and glowed, it was rather pretty to look at. He had a feeling he knew what Chara wanted him to do.
"That looks perfect, best friend! Now listen to what I'm going to tell you very carefully~."
He ended it by squeezing Toriel's soul as tightly as he could, ignoring the way the... liquids seeped onto his hands and onto his bare bones.
They mixed with the dust and he felt filthy.
He felt filthy, but in a good way. It was a new feeling, and he was glad for it.
i hate this, I hate this, I hate this, I hate this, why did you make me do this, why do you make me do this, you're my friend, you're my friend, I'm so disgusting I feel disgusting I didn't want this, I didn't want to do this, I just wanted it to stop, I didn't want this, I feel so disgusting, I'm disgusting, why why why why why why why why why why-
He tore the goat woman's soul apart and unsummoned his ecto. He was happy to be doing such good work for his best friend.
-------------------------------------------------------------
"Are you ready to kill him?" Chara asked, grinning at him as he twirled a bone in the air, fidgeting with it. He didn't feel anything right now, face blank and eye sockets empty.
He was numb. He remained silent for a moment before giving them his answer.
"SANS!" Papyrus called out for his brother, "SAANS! SAAAAANS! WHERE DID YOU GO, SANS?!"
"papyrus." He said, voice flat, standing across from him, his right eye socket half closed.
He felt emotions stirring up in him, the skeleton feeling jealousy and hatred for his brother's innocence, for his naivety and ignorance to the situation, for not doing anything but standing there and letting himself die trying to persuade a homicidal maniac not to kill him.
For not fighting back and protecting him despite being the stronger brother. He couldn't wait to be the one responsible this time...
"SANS, OH MY GOD!" Papyrus sighed in relief, running to him, and he raised his left hand, "I WAS WORRIED ABOUT WHERE YOU WERE!"
"finally.." He whispered to himself. "finally i will kill you..."
He summoned a Gaster Blaster and a few bones, all pointed at Papyrus.
"SANS?" Papyrus asked in confusion.
"you don't know how much i hate you, how jealous i am that you don't remember. you don't remember any of it. i needed you, papyrus, but in the end, you don't remember anything that happens..." He laughed a bit, unhinged and broken sounding, "why don't you remember? why can't you remember? why why why why?.... apparently, i don't need you."
i'm sorry, Papyrus.... no I'm not....?
"SANS, WHAT DO YOU MEAN? I DON'T UNDERSTAND..." Papyrus said, holding his arms out from himself, sparing him... the nerve of him... "THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT WE HAVE TO FIGHT, SANS. I WILL NEVER HURT YOU, AND I WILL BE WITH YOU FOREVER!"
"you are so stupid!" He sent a wave of bones at him, quickly draining Papyrus's health. "so pathetic.."
His smile dropped, and Papyrus fell to the ground, shaking as he tried getting up, and he used his foot to gently push Papyrus's head, keeping him down.
"if you used your strength... you might have survived... i might have survived...."
Suddenly, he was overcome with grief and-
He awoke again to his brother's dust.
"papyrus.... bro... brother!!!!!" His eye sockets filled with tears, "papyrus.... what have i done?... i didn't want.... i... oh stars no....no no no no no no no no no no no no no no!!!"
He covered his eye sockets with his hands, crying.
"papyrus, come back! please, i didn't mean it!! i'll never hurt you again...." yes i will... "no, no, nooo!!! papyrus, come back, come back, come back! i'm sorry, papyrus!!!" He was breaking down, an emotional wreck, sobbing uncontrollably, guilt and sadness and regret flooding into his soul relentlessly. What had he done?.....
He went into hysterics, a mix of sobbing and laughing from grief, regret, and maybe a hint of insanity. He was on his hands and knees, laughter delving into sobs once again. Chara walked up behind him and patted him on the back.
"Don't worry, Sans, it's your first time. You'll get used to it." Chara 'reassured'.
"no.... no, i don't want to do this anymore..." yes i do...? "because of you i became a killer..."
He broke out into broken, grief-filled and insane laughter once again, and Chara crouched down in front of him.
"Shhhhhhh, shhhhhhhh... don't worry, everything will be fine. Everything will be Reset so it doesn't matter." Chara pulled his hands away from his eye sockets, looking into his tear filled eye sockets, "There's no going back, Sans. Welcome to the Genocide Run."
consequences don't matter.... nothing matters..... get used to it, and in the end you'll feel nothing...
