avier nodded, “if you don’t mind that is. if you do i’m sure i can find my own way there.” he smiled, trying to come off as friendly as he could. he didn’t want to be inconveniencing anybody. but at the same time, he did really want to get to his room to see what it would be like. 

Another sigh escaped her lips as she stared over at the new roommate for a moment. It was a rare occurrence for her to feel bad for her attitude, but here she was, feeling guilty for treating such a baby-faced boy rather harshly. “Alright. Just hurry along. You can handle your own baggage, yeah?” Her eyes flickered down at his baggage, then back up at his face. Without waiting for a response, she turned to walk over towards the general direction of his room.

yoo-hyejin:

Hyejin scrunched her face up at her comment. “Why you’re so invested in me is a mystery as well. For someone who just got here, you’re pretty bold.” She kept her voice steady not wanting to blowup over nothing. “Welcome to the roommate house. You’ll fit right in with the others similar to you.” She could take it how she wanted because, Hyejin didn’t care at all anymore.

“You could say that.” Eun Hee shrugged, probably coming across to the other as cocky. “You’re actually extremely late on that welcome, but thanks anyway, I guess.” The other clearly wasn’t taking a liking to Eun Hee, but she expected nothing less. She was in this house by suggestion of her manager, not to please the other inhabitants.

avier nodded, walking into the house and trailing his suitcase behind him. “it’s nice to meet you, maeng eun hee.” he turned to look at her. “d’ya know where room twenty-two is?” he questioned, looking around. there was no way he’d be able to find where he was trying to go on his own. his best bet was to hope she wouldn’t mind showing him.

“Downstairs, I’m sure.” She recollected the rooms around her own upstairs and soon became certain that twenty-two was not one of them. Just as she’d made up her mind to walk away, she sighed to herself as she closed the front door shut. “I’m assuming that you need help navigating your way there– feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.”

“Yup, that’s me,” Taejoon confirmed with another wide smile. “Pictures can’t always do the real thing justice though. I declare that you owe me a trip now, Eunhee.” He raised both his eyebrows dramatically before crossing his arms in front of his chest. “You can choose the destination though, since I’m just as at fault for our lack of waterfall-viewing as you.” Chuckling, he rocked on the balls of his feet before looking expectantly at the other.

“Waterfall? Here?” She was a bit surprised at his request at continuing the adventure that had failed on the island. Before the show, she’d always only ever traveled from home to the studio. Every now and then, Eun Hee had ventured out to various theaters or gigs, but that seemed to be the furthest she’d ever gone. She had no clue how to navigate herself around anywhere outside of Seoul. “Is that even a possibility?”

Haera was kind of glad another roommate didn’t step in or else it would’ve been worse or maybe good. She couldn’t stand the girl any longer and she was kind of proud of herself to not rip her apart. “I am responsible for my actions all the time.” Her eye slightly twitched, “We all have a lot to learn and I could say the same to you.” She assumed the other was young and she felt offended that she had the audacity to speak to her in that way.

“I am well aware.” Eun Hee shrugged at the other. Though, while she knew she still had things to learn, there wasn’t very much to. Eun Hee was as poised and put together as ever. If anything, she’d needed to focus more on learning an endless amount of techniques to make her the greatest ballerina in all of Korea. “But you’ve got a long way to go before your life is as put together as mine.”

avier frowned in response to her question, “i’m sorry, is it not okay for me to be excited?” he questioned, though he question itself could be seen as a sarcastic response if toned properly, avier was genuinely concerned he had in some way offended her. he cleared his throat, “it’s nice to meet you.” he spoke calmly, not wanting to seem as excited as he was before. though on the inside he was still extremely excited to be here and to be meeting people.

She found herself taken aback again by the man’s words. Looks like his eagerness wasn’t an act. Eun Hee thought quietly to herself. With a cough, she cleared her throat before stepping back and opening the door further for him to step in to. “Yes, I suppose. I am Maeng Eun Hee, your new roommate, apparently.”

avier wasn’t sure about coming to roommate if he was to be completely honest with himself. he only properly agreed for both the publicity and the fact his mother would be visiting china and he didn’t want to live alone for the duration of her stay. he made his way leisurely to the front door, there was a part of avier that was excited beyond comprehension. he did always like to meet to new people and adventure around korea, he expected many members of the cast would be korean and therefore could tell him of some places he could go. he knocked loudly on the door, once it had been opened he bowed politely. “hello. i’m xu xianhau, but you can call me avier. please take care of me.”

At the sound of a knock on the door, Eun Hee immediately tended to it. Living in the house, it was definitely a pet peeve of hers to have to hear a constant knocking at the door because whoever it was was usually exceptionally impatient and her roommates were rather too lazy to get up to answer. Before she could speak, she was flabbergasted by the immediate bow of the stranger. “You are incredibly eager, may I ask why?”

She nodded eagerly. “Of course I am! What days are you free? Or, are you going to the studio today?” To be honest, Yoona hadn’t expected her to agree-especially on such short notice. Originally, she had planned on just watching a couple of videos online. But once Yoona found out that someone in this household was a ballerina, she decided that watching the real thing was a much, much better alternative. Plus, it would enable her to talk to a roommate who she hadn’t talked to yet. 

She gave another peculiar expression at the girl’s eagerness. Eun Hee still hadn’t learned the reason why she was so interested in watching her practice ballet, but she figured if she wanted to share the reason, eventually the girl would. “I’m heading out to the studio right now, actually, so if you’re ready to leave in approximately two minutes, you’ve got yourself a ride.”

He had been gone for a week, maybe a little bit more. It was unavoidable since it was for drama filming but Joon was slightly scared that the time away from the house had ruined all of his work up til now. With a long sigh, he simply came in the house; deciding it was better to go head on. “Anyone there?”

Eun Hee’s ears perked up at the sound of a new, seemingly lost, voice. “There’s definitely someone present.” She called out in response, walking towards where she assumed the voice was coming from. When she’d discovered the owner of the voice, she looked the man up and down, but stayed in place. “Are you new or something?”

Taejoon exhaled a sigh of relief. He had tapped the other girl’s shoulder after remembering their initial meeting on Jeju-do, but he hadn’t expected her to react with such shock. Thankfully, her reaction was calmer after a good look at him. “You’re not mistaken. Unless, well, unless I’m mistaken.” He laughed before quickly embracing the girl with one arm and pulling away. “You’re Eunhee, right? We never did get to visit a waterfall back then. Such a shame.”

Her eyes remained wide at the contact with the man. If she was being honest, physical contact with others was completely out of her comfort zone with the exception of pas de deux routines. “Yes, that is my name. You are...” She squinted a bit as she attempted to recollect his name. Had she even gotten it back on the island? Who knew. “Taejoon.” She attempted to speak with confidence. If she were wrong, it may be more awkward on his end than her own. “Ah, that’s right. I’m sure it looked just as it does in pictures, though.”

“Well, since you’re a professional ballet dancer, I was just wondering if I could watch you practice.” Yoona said sheepishly after her explanation. With the days till CUPID!’s comeback dwindling down to single digits, her choreography unnis have been cracking the whip. But for some reason, Yoona was struggling to keep up with the dance. Earlier this morning, Haera had suggested brushing up on her center of gravity, as it might be that Yoona was still feeling the awkwardness of establishing a new connection with her recently healed foot injury. 

She wasn’t entirely sure of just how the girl had known of her profession, but she decided to brush it off rather than think too much of it. Anyway, it wasn’t very much harm to be recognized, right? Eun Hee shrugged in response. “I guess it wouldn’t be that big of an issue if you’re willing to work with my schedule.” Her daily routine consisted of a very small breakfast, followed by fitness training, and ended in a constant run of whatever choreography was assigned in that moment. “Is there any particular reason why you’re asking this of me?” The girl looked like a student– maybe, Eun Hee assumed, she aspired to be a dancer too.

“You can’t but I can’t trust you either.” She countered. If this is how she’d be meeting her, she might as well match her. Hyejin tried figuring out what she did, her presence screamed idol. That made the most sense. “Maybe you’re some fan ‘settling in’.”

“Oh no, you’ve caught me.” Her voice was thick with sarcasm, drawn out in monotone. “I’m totally the face of your number one fan because I would totally waste my time coming into a house and faking my identity.” Though the accusations were somewhat amusing to her because of its ridiculousness, Eun Hee found herself more irritated than anything else. “I don’t know why you’d be putting up such a front if you have nothing to hide.”

yura was pretty sure she would get an earful from jaejoon if he ever found out she used him as a conversation starter with the new roommate. she nodded, debating whether or not that was ultimately the truth. yura and jaejoon’s relationship was very confusing, it could go either way. some saw it that jaejoon was yura’s babysitter, some vice versa. “basically,” she shrugged, tapping her nails on the glass surface of the table with a smile. “he’s really not as bad as everyone makes him sound like.”

“But isn’t that what they all say?” Eun Hee chuckled quietly under breath. She could sense that the girl was trying to defend the man, probably because they were close to some extent. But Eun Hee often judged books by what she’d heard and what she’d seen herself. Based off of the few times she’d encountered the infamous CEO, she wouldn’t consider herself a fan. “Does he know how kind you are towards him? Anyone else would have said otherwise in regards to this man.”

“Not always, but I am always this cute.” He rolled his eyes and shut the cabinets to start walking away. He didn’t have to deal with this diva. God knows that there were enough of them around. He also wasn’t in the mood now. “Yeah. I don’t want all the fame and popularity the idols have. They’re under too strict regulations. I’m not about that.” 

“Sure you are.” She mumbled under breath, following behind the man without any proper reasoning. “So what exactly do you want if not the fame and popularity?” The idea seemed to interest Eun Hee, but she wasn’t sure what had raised such curiosity. It wasn’t that she felt defensive at all (personally, she’d never cared very much about the idol scene), but this man seemed to want to have something to do in that field, and it was peculiar that his goals strayed from the norm. “Everyone is put under strict regulations in one way or another.”

“I know quite well what you’re talking about.” She was infuriated. How is this person going to judge her character by that one small incident. “What I just did was a small act of what I call fun. I can properly act my age whenever I want.” Shaking her head, she really didn’t want to go on with this situation. “Acting your age doesn’t mean you have to be acting so proper. It’s okay to have a little fun. Sorry you had to grow up so quickly.”

“Fun?” Eun Hee repeated again. Studying the room, eyes full of judgement, she couldn’t believe the other’s words. “Sure. Fun for you to make the mess, but are you going to enjoy cleaning it up just as much?” She couldn’t help but chuckle at the other, shaking her head. In fact, she felt somewhat pitiful that the other girl couldn’t come to terms with her own immature actions. “You seem to have a lot to learn– and don’t start thinking that you know me.”
