Happy White Day (TodoBaku)
Happy White Day everyone!
In honor of White Day i wrote this little bit of fluff for you all to enjoy!
TodoBaku and some ShinKami
The energy in class 1-a’s homeroom was nervous and excited, today was White Day and the student’s desks were bursting with chocolates made for their friends and crushes. No one had given their gifts yet, everyone too nervous to get up and be the first one. The room was filled with the nervous buzz of muttering voices as the creak of a desk rent the air and everyone turned to see who was the bravest to start the confessing.
Kaminari was bouncing excitedly in his seat, little tendrils of static electricity made his hair stand up, spikier than it usually did as nervous energy coursed through his body. He had stayed up most of the night a few days ago making these coffee chocolates for his boyfriend, Shinsou Hitoshi who had been transferred into their class several weeks ago. No one in the class knew that they had been dating as they had been doing so in complete secrecy, their meetings relegated to the back of the school, empty classrooms, and one or the other’s dorm rooms for late-night fun.
He couldn’t wait anymore and once Hitoshi was in his seat he opened his desk and pulled out a black box with a silver ribbon that he had spent way too long decorating. The ribbon was tied in such a way that it looked like kitty ears and on the black box a cat face was drawn. Everyone stared as Denki rose from his seat and crossed the room to his purple-haired boyfriend.
“Toshi?…Um…I made these for you. Happy White Day babe.”
Denki said quietly, blushing furiously once he reached Hitoshi’s desk.
Hitoshi looked up, smiling as Denki walked up to his desk but not expecting chocolates at all. After Denki’s confession, Hitoshi’s smile got wider, taking the box from him and setting it gently on the desk before grabbing Denki and pulling him forward into a passionate kiss that had the class screeching in surprise.
“DENKS WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL MEEEEE???”
The blond didn’t hear any of them as he kissed Hitoshi, softly whispered I love yous and happy white day floated through the kiss as the confession had everyone else bouncing out of their seats to give their gifts.
As gift after gift was given the last person anyone expected to give anyone a gift lifted their desk and pulled out a perfectly decorated box that once studied it was obvious who it was made for. Bakugou Katsuki opened the top of his desk, hoping that the flurry of excitement from the gift-giving might distract everyone from his machinations. He pulled from inside his desk a box wrapped in white paper with silver and red ribbon tied artfully around it. No one knew what was happening until Katsuki stood up and started walking to the back of the room where his intended recipient sat. The room went quiet as he walked and he muttered a curse that his gift-giving had become a spectacle.
Todoroki Shouto had looked up when he saw someone approaching his desk, raising an eyebrow as he saw that it was Katsuki. He observed Katsuki, seeing his red eyes darting back and forth surrounded by a red face. When he saw the box clutched in his hands his eyes widened and he too blushed.
The box was thrust forward, Katsuki’s face was a burning red and he felt his hands starting to get hot, the chocolates would start to melt if Todoroki didn’t take the box. Shouto looked down at the box that was pushed forward towards him and took it in his hands, looking back up at Katsuki who had folded his arms.
Shouto held the box in his hands, looking down at its professional-looking decoration, it could have been bought in a shop but he knew Katsuki better, from the way that he insisted on cooking dinner some nights or making Soba when Shouto tried to pull out an instant pack told him that the angry blond would never settle for store-bought chocolates.
“Tch…yea. Damn shot chocolates suck. Happy white day or whatever.”
Katsuki mumbled the last bit, looking down at the floor as embarrassment flooded through him. Shouto looked down at the box and pulled at the ribbon, letting it fall open so that he could pull the paper off and open the box. His eyes widened as he saw the chocolates inside, it was half milk and half dark chocolates, all in the shape of snowflakes. He didn’t know what to say, despite how wealthy his family was, chocolate was a luxury that Shouto had never been allowed growing up. As he got older and moved out of his father’s clutches, chocolate became something of a guilty pleasure for him. The idea that it was forbidden caused him to secret his chocolate away in his dorm room, eating it in secret as if he would get in trouble for eating it. Shouto looked down that the obviously carefully made chocolates, emotion swelling in his chest.
“Thank you, They’re perfect. I will enjoy eating them.”
He said before looking up at Katsuki once more who was very relieved, though not showing it outwardly. He gave Todoroki a stiff nod and went back to his seat, trying not to look back at the half and half boy that he had a huge crush on. Making the chocolates was easy for Katsuki, he often kicked everyone out of the kitchen to cook dinner. That is exactly what he did one night while he was cooking, he made the chocolates and stored them in the minifridge in his dorm room until today. The class who had been watching the exchange quickly recovered and went about their gift-giving while Katsuki glanced back at Todoroki who had picked out a delicate chocolate and popped in in his mouth.
Katsuki blushed again as he saw the bliss on his face, he had never seen Todoroki so blissed out before and the fact that it was because of his chocolates gave him a satisfied feeling in his stomach. Shouto was letting the delicious chocolate melt on his tongue as he caught Katsuki watching him. He blushed right up to his hair but offered a thankful smile as he closed the box and placed it in his desk then pulled out his phone. Katsuki’s phone beeped and he looked down at it, tearing his attention away from Shouto.
*The chocolate is delicious, I would love to share them with you after school. My room?* - Shouto
Katsuki’s eyes widened, his hands heating up and he dropped his phone before he melted it. After a minute he texted back a shaky ‘Sure, sounds good.’ before putting his head in his arms.
White Day had been a success, his confession to Half and Half had gone perfectly. His satisfaction punctuated by his phone beeping again, tapping the screen he saw a text from Mina, who helped him to pick out the molds for the chocolates and to wrap the ribbon.
*So it went well! What now?* - Mina
*Yea looks like he liked them, thanks Pinky. I’ll let you know what happens tonight after we “Share the chocolates” in Half and Half’s room.* - Katsuki
Katsuki heard a giggling snort from across the room and the string of suggestive emojis that popped up in the message thread had him slipping his phone back into his desk, wondering what tonight actually had in store for him.
