“There are some thoughts I simply cannot endure.”
— Albert Camus, from Selected Works; “The Plague,” published c. 1947 (via violentwavesofemotion)
Ibrāhīm ibn Adham (رحمه الله):
“Whoever controls his stomach, controls his religion. Whoever masters hunger, masters virtuous character. Indeed, disobedience to Allah is distant from the hungry but close to the satiated. Satiety deadens the heart, and from it arises joy, amusement, and excessive laughter.”
[Jāmi‘ al-‘Ulūm: 4266]

When You Fast Let All Of Your Limbs Fast
Jābir Ibn 'Abd Allāh رضي الله عنه said: "When you fast, then let your hearing, your sight and your tongue fast and abstain from lies and ḥarām things, and avoid harming your neighbour. Be tranquil and dignified and do not let the day you fast and the day you do not fast be the same.

If we are not walking in a path that leads us to Jannah then what's the point of this world?
Ease my Qalb ~
If im saddened because of something that has happened, something that I can’t change, it’s a decree that Allah سبحانه وتعالى has written to happen, i remind myself that this is my Qadr and it has not reached me from anyone but Allah سبحانه وتعالى, and all that which comes from Allah is Khayr even if we perceive it as bad because there’s hukum in it from Allah and no one knows the hukum but Allah
But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And Allāh knows, while you know not.
{ Surat Al Baqarah : 216 }
And the ayah
perhaps you dislike a thing and Allāh makes therein much good.
{ Surat An-Nisa : 19 }
Subhan Allah these ayat are so beautiful and they always bring so much ease to my qalb, we must understand that every thing that happens in our lives is because Allah سبحانه وتعالى has a wisdom behind it Subhan Allah.
If im feeling overwhelmed because there’s so much happening around me and I feel like I can’t take it all at once and it’s too much for me to take in and it’s getting hard, even if it’s something small that is effecting me I remember these ayat
And whoever fears Allāh, He will make for him a way out And will provide for him from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allāh, then He is sufficient for him
{ Surat At-Talaq : 2-3 }
Wallahiii these ayat always remind me of the stories of our righteous and pious predecessors, Subhan Allah especially Hajar عليها السلام, when she was left in the desert she placed her trust in Allah and believed he would look after her, but still tied her camel and went to look for help, and Allah سبحانه وتعالى sent Jibril عليه السلام with the water of zamzam to her which was a means for an entire village to come and live around her and provide for her and where ismail عليه السلام grew up, She relied on Allah سبحانه وتعالى and Allah made a way out for her with a way she never expected, Subhan Allah
And when I stay patient in all these situations and every hard situation that is placed before me and shaytan tries to come and whisper in my ear i remind myself of the ayah
And be patient, for indeed, Allah does not let the reward of the righteous go in waste
{ Surah Hud : 115 }
(may Allah سبحانه وتعالى make us from amongst the righteous) Subhan Allah it reminds me that Allah is As-Sami Al-Baseer, hes all hearing all seeing, he sees that which you go through that which saddens you, even the sad matters you have forgotten he has not forgotten, and being patient for his sake, he will reward you immensely for it, this isnt a reward from your parents for an act of good, or a generous friend, this is a reward from Allah, the creator of the seven heavens and all that which lays within them Subhan Allah, تبارك وتعالى
And I remind myself that this dunya is an abode of work, we’re only in this dunya to prepare for our akhira the eternal life, and we will go through hardships for even the anbiya the most righteous and patient of all creation went through the hardest of tests, and Allah made them successful and victorious because they stayed patient over what fell upon them and had Tawakul in Allah, hardships are a means of expiation of sins and elevation when our deeds arent enough to elevate us. This dunya wasnt given to us as a resting place and we must pass through this dunya like a 3aber sabeel
And the worldly life is not but amusement and diversion; but the home of the Hereafter is best for those who fear Allāh,
Or do you think that you will enter Paradise while such [trial] has not yet come to you as came to those who passed on before you? They were touched by poverty and hardship and were shaken until [even their] messenger and those who believed with him said, "When is the help of Allāh?" Unquestionably, the help of Allāh is near.
we must also remember any bad that befalls us, sickness, troubles, hardships, these are also from our sins, our pious predecessors whenever they were afflicted with something ( EVEN if it was a headache ) they would cry and say this is from my sins, which is why they would busy themselves with istighfar and tawba, wallahiii the stories ive heard of the ones that go through hardships that started to engage in istighfar and how their lives flipped over and changed, its so beautiful, may Allah forgive our sins and accept our hardships as a form of expiation

What comes to you of good is from Allāh, but what comes to you of evil, [O man], is from yourself
Whatever of good reaches you, is from Allah, meaning, of Allah's bounty, favor, kindness and mercy.
But whatever of evil befalls you, is from yourself, meaning because of you and due to your actions. Similarly, Allah said,
And whatever of misfortune befalls you, it is because of what your hands have earned. And He pardons much. (42:30)
As-Suddi, Al-Hasan Al-Basri, Ibn Jurayj and Ibn Zayd said that,
فَمِن نَّفْسِكَ (from yourself) means, because of your errors. Qatadah said that,
(From yourself) means, as punishment for you, O son of Adam, because of your sins.
{ Tafsir Ibn Kathir }
“If Allah intends good for a servant, He removes the sight of his good deeds from his heart, takes away mentioning them from his tongue, and occupies him with the vision of his sins, so they remain before his eyes until he enters Paradise.”
O those who abandon their prayers, you will realize the value of your Salah on the first night in your grave. But on that day, regret won’t help you.
Never abandon your prayer. There are millions in their graves who would give anything to return for just one more Sujood. They now understand the worth of what they neglected, but it’s too late.
Take advantage of the time you have now. Pray and remember Allah constantly.
Riyad as-Salihin, The Book of Du'a (Supplications), Book 16, Hadith 38
Chapter: Some Verdicts Pertaining to Supplications
Ibn 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to say when he was in distress: "La ilaha illallahul-Azimul-Halim. (None has the right to be worshipped but Allah the Incomparably Great, the Compassionate. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah the Rubb of the Mighty Throne. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah the Rubb of the heavens, the Rubb of the earth, and the Rubb of the Honourable Throne)."
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
is anyone here?
i have no idea what i’m doing but neither do you and it is Allah who has dignified our efforts and concealed our failures. so be kind and gentle towards one another. and remain in grateful remembrance of your Lord.
Ibn Rajab al-Hanbalī رحمه الله stated:
"Some of the righteous people, would keep a piece of paper in their pocket and would open the paper, to look at it every hour and that which was written on the paper was:
'So be patient with your Lord’s decree, for you are truly under Our watchful Eyes.'"
[Tafsir Ibn Rajab | Pg. 135]
