This one seemed interesting but she had wondered if Venomous had actually bought this on purpose or not. “You seem pretty cool for a game that can talk back by the way!”

  The Marionette leans forward over its box, gazing at the child. Oh, it has seen this one before. This was the first child to visit, who wanted words instead of prizes. How baffling, still, the concept of a child this age not wanting so much as a pencil topper is to it.

  Nonetheless, the Marionette will not dishonor the child’s apparent desires.

  “Hello, little one. What can I do for you?”

“Well, I was kinda curious about something. Do you usually get visitors over here?” It didn’t seem like any of the other children wanted to stay over here. They mostly just wanted the prizes, but there was something about this Marionette that Fink liked, she just couldn’t figure out what.

“Oh, thanks. I never really saw myself as a princess but that is pretty nice of you to say that!” Well she certainly never acted like a princess before. She usually caused trouble a lot, which might’ve explained why she was in the pizzeria. “So uh, what do you do for fun around here?”

     Aster held up a headband that was the same color as the girl’s gloves; it was a simple accessory, but he wasn’t sure what the girl was looking for yet – so it was a start.

               “ I think it would look really nice on you! ”

“It is pretty nice, how much would it cost?” She had heard about the new store from some other people, it seemed kinda cozy which might’ve gotten her attention. She wasn’t expecting to buy anything but there was something about the headband that she really liked.

“I’m a mouse. Are you new around here?” She hadn’t seen him before, but he seemed nice. There weren’t usually new faces that showed up so it was always good to see that happen. “Oh uh, the name’s Fink. Pleasure to meet you.”

she’ll gush, not asking nor thinking twice as she takes one of the baby blue strands between her thumb and forefinger.

“Oh uh, thanks! I like your hair too.” She hadn’t really expected to get a compliment on her hair, but it was appreciated. As long as someone was nice to her, she’d try to return the favor.

Rocking from foot to foot the human decides to bring up an inquiry that had been heavily weighing upon the mind. Eyebrows furrow and after quiet contemplation expresses itself in a sigh to summon up some courage. “So is the purple guy your boss? I didn’t think kids like us could have jobs.”

Well, he was technically, but it seemed a little different to her. “I guess, I always saw him as my dad more than my boss. That makes sense right?” She’d hope it did. Even if they weren’t related doesn’t mean he can’t be a good father figure to her.

“Lakewood Plaza? Nope, I’ve never heard of it – well, not unless you count just now. Kinda sounds like a place in a video game, actually. Does everyone there look like you do?”

“Not really, it’s mostly just heroes that hang out around there. Sometimes this guy called Boxman tries to take over the plaza but it usually never works out. His robots are kinda lame though.”

“That sounds great! I’ll definitely be here later.” She walked off and went home. Free cake wasn’t exactly what she was expecting, but it seemed pretty great from what she had seen. Fink had definitely planned on trying to visit everyday if it meant she got to hang out with a friend.

“Thanks!” She wasn’t gonna pass the opportunity to get something free. Especially if it’s food, Fink loved getting free food. She hadn’t seen this cafe before but it seemed like a pretty nice place. “You seem pretty nice, maybe we could be friends.”

Mike peeks sheepishly behind his couch, his hand idly resting upon the… claw mark that happened to still be on it from the Halloween party. He made a little nest of blankets and pillows behind the couch for Fink, considering he had let her stay here a few days ago.

     ‘ Just checking. ’

“Yeah, I’m fine.” She had been pretty thankful to Mike for letting her stay here with him. It was a pretty cozy place, but she felt like there might have been someone else living in the house. “How did this claw mark get here? Kind of an odd place for it to appear.”
