My dear friend Angela died in my house Friday. I did CPR, I did my best, so did the medics. All I can see is her face going gray while I did compressions. It's so different when it's not a patient. I'm going to miss her. She was taking her exam to be a probation officer tomorrow.
It's such a long, sad thing. Trying to find family. Waiting for the examiner, cleaning the medical waste up, waiting to be cleared to enter the scene and put all the chaos of an impromptu ER suite back in order. It's surreal. She's just gone. I'm gutted. She was here. 48 hours ago.
Life is fragile. I'll miss her.
