Kinda sorta.  RL is kicking my but right now, so I'll go for months without writing, then maybe have a good couple of weeks here and there.  I have a maybe half or three-quarters finished story I'm plugging away on, but with my schedule, I don't expect to finish it anytime soon.Thanks for asking!

Looking through the DP part of AO3 and the best ones seem to be yours. But I've already read all yours (twice) and I'm looking for something new that doesn't make me want to put the author back in second grade. ;~; got any suggestions?

I'm a terrible person to ask because I read fanfic less than I write it.  I also tend to go more towards ffdn than AO3 so I have no idea who's on there.

But FWIW, my favorite DP writers on FFDN are Chaos Dragon and HaiJu. Although both are way more well-known/well-read than I am, so I suspect you've already heard of one or both.

I’ve said this before and I’ll point it out again - 

Menstruation is caused by change in hormonal levels to stop the creation of a uterine lining and encourage the body to flush the lining out. The body does this by lowering estrogen levels and raising testosterone. 

Or, to put it more plainly “That time of the month” is when female hormones most closely resemble male hormones. So if (cis) women aren’t suited to office at “That time of the month” then (cis) men are NEVER suited to office.

If you are a dude and don’t dig the ladies around you at their time of the month, just think! That is you all of the time. 

And, on a final note, post-menopausal (cis) women are the most hormonally stable of all human demographics. They have fewer hormonal fluctuations of anyone, meaning older women like Hilary Clinton and Elizabeth Warren would theoretically be among the least likely candidates to make an irrational decision due to hormonal fluctuations, and if we were basing our leadership decisions on hormone levels, then only women over fifty should ever be allowed to hold office.

The Fenton Thermos sucks in ghosts (and blobs of ectoplasmic snot) but doesn't even tug on humans. Yet Danny's susceptible to it even though he's part human. So I think the thermos only works on ectoplasm or possibly spectral energy. With that being said, what do you think would happen if the thermos was activated in the Ghost Zone itself?

Huh.  Good question, I never thought about it before.  I do think you're right, it operates on ectoplasm or ecto-energy of some sort, because it clearly isn't a vacuum that just sucks up anything.

Have there been any examples in canon of it being used in the Ghost Zone?  I can't remember any.  I wonder if it would just overload or get very, very full very fast?  We know it has a maximum capacity, which is probably why Danny used a net instead of the Thermos to round up all the ghosts in Phantom Planet.

I'm writing again!  Well, more overhauling the story I started but never finished than writing new stuff, but maybe when I fix this stuff it'll motivate me to keep working on it?  The problems could have been blocking me more than I realized.

No promises that I'll finish this decade, not with the schedule insanity that is marching band season just a few weeks away.  But I'm actively interested in working on it for the first time in months, so yay!

Aw, thanks, that's so kind of you!  Heh, I'm too lazy to be a professional writer.  I prefer to write what I want when I want without worrying about having to make a living.  I think it would stop being fun if it were a job.  Plus, it's usually characters that someone else created I fell in love with that inspire me, so... :)

new headcanon from your lovely observation: the fenton household is supernaturally impossible. like, ghosts mess with the floor plan. its that subtle kind of haunted where furniture will move around slightly or even a lot, and since the house has been affected by ghosts from sheer proximity in this sorta way for so long the fentons just sorta stopped noticing or caring. the kids even grew up with it and consider it ‘normal’.

people will come to visit and won’t notice anything is different, or if they do, will attribute it to simple rearranging of the furniture that anyone would do. but sometimes the changes are kind of impossible, like a window will move to a completely different wall, but you still probably wouldn’t notice if youve only visited once or twice.

but one day sam and tucker notice the ceiling fan in the living room move to his bedroom, and since they come to fentonworks so much theyre just POSITIVE there wasnt a ceiling fan in dannys room before. and also where did the living room fan go. its hot as hell in there now. danny please do something about this. but danny just shrugs and says ‘oh, the fan? must be that time of the year again. the fan gets finicky around april since we dont dust it all winter. better tell mom its time for spring cleaning and itll move back in no time’

I think this was discussed in a phandom tinychat at one point. We decided it changed when no one is looking, Schrodinger house. I think we attributed it to the time jack sucked the house into another dimension (then my comp crashed and i could see the rest of the convo :( )

What if it was Danny, though? Like he doesn’t even know he’s doing it but it’s like when you get up to get something and don’t really remember the trip there ‘cause you were thinking about something else? Well, Danny does this except the rooms just move to him. He needs to go to the bathroom? right outside his door. Heading to the kitchen? It’s at the bottom of the stairs. Need to escape through the window? It’s right beside your desk. Somebody’s trying to get to Danny’s room when he’s mad? “When did this hallway get so long?”

And then the house just stays like that and Maddie’s like “Oh, it must have become unstable because of the ghost zone”

and Danny’s like “what must have become unstable?”

And they’re all like “how have you not noticed that doors and hallways just randomly appear and disappear, like, honestly.”

I was just thinking this (for at least his bedroom) cause his room (and maybe all of fentonworks) would be his “lair”

oooohhhh and what if that’s the way the Ghost Zone is set up? And the first time Danny enters it it looks like hallways and doors because he’s not so intune with his ghost half? and then he becomes in tune and suddenly it opens up makes a lot more sense and he can sorta tell where he’s going as long as he doesn’t think about it too much (but the map making actually hinders his true progress) hense him finding help in the Far Frozen when half-concious just because it was where he was trying to go It’s like one big long confusing Infi-map that moves around and changes depending on where people want to go and the infimap is the only thing that can really keep track of it Anyways so basically Sam and Tucker and peeps all see the ghost zone as it appeared originally but Danny’s the one who starts to see it differently as his house gradually makes less and less sense the ghost zone makes more headcanon

Do you plan on writing something about the period between [SPOILER] in Closet and the last chapter? I was always very curious about the details of [SPOILER], and how Sam, Tucker & cia. (and the whole world really) dealt with [SPOILER] and the way it happened.

First off, thank you!  :)

And actually, I can kinda answer this here in a vague way (don't know why I didn't think of this sooner).

I actually do have an idea of what happens between the bulk of Closet and the epilogue.  I may write it some day, or I may not.  Right now, I'm not writing anything because I just don't have the time or energy with my RL schedule.  So I can't honestly say I know if I'll ever write the in-between stuff or any of the other plot bunnies I have post-Closet (or even finish the one I was working on last year that I haven't finished).  

But I do know in my head how the stuff before the Closet epilogue goes, at least insofar as how the main characters cope.  It's also darker than most of my stories, so if/when I do write it, I'll have to be in that space to write something darker than usual.  (And for me, "darker than usual" means the characters are dealing with a bad situation in a not-so-great way and things falling apart internally, as opposed to outside forces causing angst, like most of my other fic.)
