some of us draw bettas?? to cope??
He’s watching me. Meet Vanilla Dip.
I was originally going to move Mr Darcy over here but he really has his spots he loves in his tank and this tank is so different I couldn’t do it.
I literally just got a new betta a few days ago that looks so much like him!! What a coincidence! 😄
Only nice people are allowed on Ribbon’s lawn
This was Liberty, a betta I had 9 years ago! (Omg where does the time go?) I had gotten him from Walmart, and although I didn't like supporting Walmart selling fish, I absolutely couldn't pass him up! He was such a beautiful and unique veiltail 😍
Yet another way my fish take all my money 💰 💰 💰
This is a fish I had a couple years ago named Cinder 🔥
underrated betta things
their tiny fluttery side fins!
the way they doze off in their plants... very cute, very sweet
when you give them some food and listen really close and you can hear them Cronch
when they swim sideways for no reason?
catching them red handed in the act of making a bubble nest
watching them re-explore their tank after a water change like they've never even been in there before
feel free to add on!
Everybody loves a little tea!!
Thank you @snailorbee for this absolutely adorable commission!! This was so much fun!
um not to be dramatic but i’ve been waiting for like 3 hrs for him to swim through here and he finally did
I try so hard at work (chain pet store) to get these bettas into proper homes and customers just ignore EVERYTHING!
Its been a while since this was posted. Ive learned one of the easiest ways to help the fish is to encourage people to WANT to do better. I start with establishing roles. The fish has one, to look healthy and provide us entertainment. Our job is to allow that to be possible. How so? Water. Is the water warm enough for the fish? Is it oxygenated? Clean? Spacious? Cover? Flow rate? Give people an understanding as to why they should have a heater, why they should give it as much space as possible, why we do water changes. If you can, encourage them to “be the fish” as silly as that sounds . Am I warm enough, can I breath easy, can I hide, am I stressed by my tank mates, ect.“ Having them see the fish as a living being rather than a decoration is hard, but worth a try. Never put people down for not doing everything correct. Encourage them, be a source of information, be available to help. Kindness is the best way to make fish owners WANT to learn. Be kind and forgiving. Always continue your own education to be as helpful as you can. We cant save them all, but we can try our best to spread education, and being kind will go much further than making people feel bad.
Dear Pets
I’m so sorry I woke you up you were just so still and I though you were dead please forgive me
He’s not in the best shape for photography atm, but my camera charger turned back up and heck, he still cute.

Some beautiful portraits of Siamese Fighting Fishes, or Betta splendens by Visarute Angkatavanich
Fishes captured in all their grace, with an extreme simplicity, by the Thai photographer Visarute Angkatavanich. Native from tropical freshwater of Southeast Asia, the fighting fish is still raised for animal fighting in some Asian countrie.
This guy was a fish I had 4 years ago, named Jupiter! One day I got a picture of him begging for his breakfast 😄
Gattsu is the wiggliest betta boy I’ve ever had! After 2 hours of editing, I’ve finally managed to gif a few clips of him before he hits mach speed…
