breaking my typical blog content just to express how frustrated i am at the existence of queer people who dont believe in the validity of xenogenders.

the arguments against xenogenders are the same arguments bigots use against trans people. youre just drawing the line somewhere else to include yourself (and, in the process, exclude people who you dont understand).

if you dont believe in xenogenders, youre still sucking up to the gender binary. youre still denying gender identities and gender expressions and treating them as "less valid". youre still believing gender should solely exist relative to the man and the woman.

it's okay to be nonbinary and to think of your nonbinary identity as how much youre masculine, how much youre feminine, how much youre both or neither, but why would everybody have to do the same?

whatever happened to, you know, self expression? breaking the gender binary? living outside of it? youre acting like youre not in the cage when you still think of everything relative to it. because denying xenogender identities is just accepting the two-gender model with a little asterisk on the end. that those two genders are just... the reference points, instead of directly being the options. that all other genders live amongst them.

if youre queer and you think these ways, theres really no hard feelings. i just... thought that the point was that we were trying to normalise people accepting others even if they didnt understand.
