This just scanned exceptionally well. You can see individual strands of hair. My last scan of the day, plenty more tomorrow. Scanned from The Beatles Book Monthly No. 289.

I love how we all reblog this without needing a description because this is such a freaking classic
The Beatles
Some of Paul McCartney’s classic bass lines.
You can hear the discipline, the strong work ethic, the talent! As when he plays other instruments like the piano for example. We all know he’s good but isolating the sound helps see all this. He’s a true musician, his craft phenomenally done.
After John died there was a lot of talk about who did what, and who liked who, and “Did the Beatles argue?” and on and on and on. And I was almost buying into this idea that me and John were fighting all the time, but I just remembered it wasn’t true, so I wrote this song. (…) I wanted to make a song where I actually said I love you to John. “Here Today” is that song. It’s quite emotional. It came from a real feeling about him. I wanted to correct the record in my mind, as much as in anyone else’s mind. There are some photos from that period which are really beautiful. Like, just him and me working, and you could see we loved each other. But once all these rumors go about, you almost buy into them yourself, so that song kind of helped me set the record straight. – Paul McCartney, 2018
Four decades since the world lost John Lennon.
A lifetime. His lifetime.
But he is remembered and his voice is cherished.
He is loved and he is respected.
The world lost John Lennon, but we never forgot him. And we never will.
Dr Winston O’Boogie
