SM Releases Expanded Genres for Jonghyun’s Album “She Is”
So you guys know how SM loves to give those song genre descriptions that are really vague and sound like they just wrote down a bunch of scrambled words from a dictionary? They just released a more detailed description of the genres on Jonghyun’s new album and man, it’s crazy. I am really intrigued by these descriptions. It sounds like this album is going way outside the box.
In the style of electro-funkadelic, bass-heavy present smashpop, featuring fantastic/elastic clarinet solos
A country feel, in the vein of the subculture hootenanny, futuristic hoedown, square dancehall style
In the style of rock; specifically, subgenres including limestone, shale, and future banjo gravel. This song is said to be gritty, real gritty. Like “The Wire” gritty.
The moon finally reveals its secrets, such as whether JongKey is real. (Yes, the Moon sees all.)
Features the genre of neo-seoulful underground, loverholic robotronic, white static TV beats with a sprinkling of traditional trap-polka
A mix of EDM (ecstatic donkey mewls) with early ‘90s Nintendo beats and a smattering of samples taken from the Frozen and Lion King soundtracks
The singer compares his lover to a variety of cocktails, i.e., Key is fashionable (a Manhattan), Key is worldly (a Cosmopolitan), Key is tangy n’ sassy (a Margarita)
Jonghyun attempts to show his unique color, but realizes red is commonly used by others, so SM plans to change this title to more of a pomegranate-blush tone
