Out of all German castles, there is probably none more famous than the Newshwanstein Schloss. It is easy to see why people say it is something from the fairy tales... because it is sublime. Ludwig II was truly a figure of the Romantic Age - the castle contained motifs of fairy tales (focus on national identity, including folktales/fairy tales), the view from the castle and of the castle invoked internal feelings of amazement at how he knew where and how he wanted the castle designed, and a focus on nature, amongst some others. Though sadly not finished, the rooms that were done were meticulously designed. It is no wonder he bankrupted himself. We were undoubtedly blessed with a clear afternoon after driving through a foggy Alps to see the Linderhof Schloss (pictures to come). It was about an hours worth of climbing, about 15 minutes of giving myself a pep talk to get myself to walk onto the truss bridge to get the cover shot... which I managed before I felt the wood plank moved, looked down into the gorge, and thought "I'm good" before re treating to solid ground. Here are some of the many shots taken - will share some in my Stories. #fairytale #photography #photo #germany #munich #romantic #romanticism #ludwig #ludwigii #castle #landscape #waterfall #nature #sightseeing #tourist #hiking (at Neuschwanstein Castle) https://www.instagram.com/p/B5PiCcKFBt_/?igshid=7pbua2gf07lf
