I do not have to reinvent the wheel every time I write fanfiction

I do not have to make every chapter's word count above 1,000 in order for it to be good

It is okay if some things don't make sense

My rpf hot take is and forever will be that I don’t care what the celebrity thinks about rpf. Part of being in the public eye (and making money off the public interest) is that people will have opinions about you and some of those opinions will be that it would be hot if you kissed your friend.

However ☝️ rpf is for fans in fan spaces. Ethical rpf is not rpf of people who are okay with it (although I love you Dan and Phil) it’s keeping rpf in spaces that celebrities can’t easily find it. It’s keeping the real people and their real lives out of it.

Lesser-known steps of the writing process:

Finding all the paragraphs where you used some hyper-specific word more than once

Rearranging paragraphs that you swear you wrote in the right order but turned out to be totally backwards

Going for a walk, coming up with the perfect line, and forgetting it as soon as you get home and open your laptop

Creating a separate document where you can dump all of those nice sentences that no longer fit in anywhere

Waking up in a cold sweat because so-and-so was supposed to be barefoot but never actually took his shoes off
