On hearing they were in America, Mary Jo became even more confused. “But…I was just there. In Illinois. It looked…nothing like this.” she explained, starting to freak out. Had this all happened over night? It couldn’t of. She would’ve woken up. Her father would’ve woken her up. The girl had to bite her lip to concentrate. “What part of America? What year? Do you know?” she asked, almost desperately.
He watched her start to freak out. It was curious; he couldn’t remember anyone getting so stressed about their location before. Sure… it was understandable, but he still hadn’t seen it. Most of the others at the airport… don’t care. They, sure, feel more comfortable with walls and a roof over their head, but it didn’t exactly matter. “Calm… Down.” He shifted slightly in his position, “I don’t know.”
The girl turned, looking at him as if he were crazy. “Calm down?” she asked. “I will not calm down! I’m God knows where with no family and no weapon…wait.” Mary Jo felt in her back pocket for her demon knife, almost squealing with glee as she pulled it out. “Oh, thank god its still there. Glad I sleep with a weapon in my pocket.” she looked back up at R and smiled. “Are you alright? I never thought to ask, but you look kinda pale. How long have you been here?”
R carried on watching her. Was that... a knife? Why did she sleep with a knife? Well.. it was evident people did around here, but she wasn't from around here. She didn't know what happened. So if she was from what it was like before.... Then why did she have a knife? She must be... different. He shrugged at her question, before looking over the counter which was next to him. He needed her to know what happened. And... maybe her seeing others like him will make her realise. He motioned to her, then to the binoculars on the counter, before motioning for her to follow him.
He goes out of the shop, into the main area of the shopping centre, heading towards the staircase that lead up to the roof. They could just about see the airport from there.
