La photographie me sert de bouclier contre le monde extérieur. C'est à dire que lorsque je me sens agressé ou rejeté, par exemple en soirée ou dans un évènement publique, je sors mon appareil et je me met à prendre de photos. La photographie me sert aussi de pont avec le monde extérieur, je l'utilise en effet comme language ou comme lien. Je prend souvent des photos pour exprimer mon intérêt envers une personne, et cela peut être inconscient ou voulu ; je shoote beaucoup plus les personnes qui me plaisent (amicalement ou affectueusement) et je refuse/j'ignore les personnes que je trouve inintéressantes et qui me demandent une photo.
