nonbinary cats >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>><<>>
I was curious about this, not because I was surprised the cat was "neither male nor female" but because I was surprised this is a "first". I mean, intersex cats exist. Any time an apparently male cat is tortie/calico, for example, that's an intersex animal, probably XXY.
Turns out, though, that this kitty is very rare - they have no external genitals, and vets can find no evidence of internal reproductive organs either. So yeah, fair enough, I've literally never heard of an animal being born like that! Isn't nature something?

Level 1: Octavian was Julius Caesar's adopted son.
Level 2: Octavian was Julius Caesar's great-nephew.
Level 3: Octavian was Pompey's first cousin twice removed.
Level 4: Octavian was Mark Antony's fourth cousin once removed. And brother-in-law, of course.
Level 5: Octavian was Brutus' uncle's wife's stepbrother.
(Yes, that's Brutus marrying his first cousin down there.)
Level 6: Octavian was Cicero's great-uncle's brother-in-law's wife's great grand-nephew.
"So what does that make them?"
"Absolutely nothing!"
i thought my laptop was on its last leg because it was running at six billion degrees and using 100% disk space at all times and then i turned off shadows and some other windows effects and it was immediately cured. i just did the same to my roommate's computer and its performance issues were also immediately cured. okay. i guess.
so i guess if you have creaky freezy windows 10/11 try searching "advanced system settings", go to performance settings, and uncheck "show shadows under windows" and anything else you don't want. hope that helps someone else.
ok thanks hesiod for the comment that the noise from the titanomachy and zeus' lightning blasts sounds the same as when Gaia and Ouranos would get it on, that's a very useful comment
im not even remotely joking btw

'A prodigious conflagration took possession of Chasm; and to look upon it with eyes and to hear its sound with ears, it seemed just as when Earth and broad Sky approached from above: for this was the kind of great sound that would rise up as she was pressed down and as he pressed her down from on high'

Basically a Velociraptor
Made this watercolor painting based off my little chicken warriors, original is already sold, but I will be making a limited run of prints, stickers, and potentially buttons… Maybe a handful of mugs xD I know I want a mug of it >:O

My cats have this meow that means "please come with me to fix this" after which they'll lead me to the problem in question, usually a empty (or 'empty') food bowl or a closed door they want open. They look at the 'problem', they look back at me, clear message.
What fascinates me is how this illustrates what they percieve as being in the realm of my 'power.' I control the food, I control the door, sure, but my cats love to sit on the balcony in the sun, and it has happened plenty of times that on a rainy day they come get me, go to the balcony and show me... the rain. "Please fix this" they say. "Please get rid of the wet"
"Silly kitty," I say, "I can't control the rain." I then walk into the shower and turn on the rain.

this is making me insane. time flies when you're a faggot
I have known multiple women who had beautiful German Shepherds who loved them, tolerated their children and bit their shitty husbands all the fucking time at the drop of a hat. The one I remember most strongly was a friend of my parents when I was about nine and utterly enthralled with her beautiful shepherd named Watson who patiently endured my obsession. Specifically, I remember the husband cautioning my mom about it and my mom responding, “oh Jesus, Steve, we all know Watson only bites you.”
I’m not a responsible enough dog trainer to have a German Shepherd but I admire this trait so much.
Watson looked to my child self like one of the wolves from Twilight (huge, fluffy, majestic) and did not like annoying children and I loved him so much and could not leave him alone and he never bit me. Steve, a serial philanderer, once allowed his shadow to cross over Watson’s face and needed seven stitches.
German shepherds are dogs who make moral choices.
Dogs know what men harbor ill-intent
on one hand I get why people talk about the vanity of the instagram age, but on the other one time St. Ignatius of Loyola got his leg shattered in battle and discovered upon recovery that he could no longer wear his favorite tight leather boots due to the way his leg had set and so decided to rebreak his leg without anesthesia because he was that determined to wear his fashionable boots again...what i'm trying to say is that this man might have existed before instagram, but at heart he was an influencer
an egregious oversight on my part: he ended up getting extremely ill for obvious reasons and was given a 50% chance of surviving the night, survived the night and was stuck in bed for ten months of recovery, was bored out of his mind, asked for courtly romances about dashing knights rescuing ladies so he could daydream about that #knightlife (yes, this was his explicit reason), got books on the life of Christ and the saints instead because they were all his sister could find, decided to daydream about doing saintly heroic things instead because those were the books he had although he still dabbled in the occasional rescue-my-hot-imaginary-soulmate-from-danger daydream, and, as you may have guessed, since he was not a man who did things halfway, ended up convincing himself that he needed to become a saint and so by the time he'd recovered, he had rejected all finery, left his castle on a mule, gave his clothes to the poor and wore a potato sack instead, upon which he proceeded to start one of the most famous and influential religious orders in world history.
Long story short: some peasant got those sweetass tight-fitting leather boots.
Well, I mean.... sounds like he was an influencer to me.
