The former zombies are given a medical syndrome term – Partially Deceased Syndrome Sufferer, or PDSS – and returned to society to be assimilated. But is society ready? There’s a lot of zombie prejudice out there, allowing this drama to revel in all sorts of intriguing allegories and story lines. Runs nightly through Saturday.

Low Winter Sun: AMC is launching this new show after the Breaking Bad premiere on Aug. 11 at 10 p.m. Trailer looks very good. Feels like The Shield meets Breaking Bad. Features Lennie James (who I loved on The Walking Dead), and BrBa favorite David Constabile (Gale). I lived in downtown Detroit for 5 years and this might be the first show to visually capture what I loved about living there. Another plus: Ernest Dickerson is the series director.
