I don’t know who needs to hear this, but please let your self cry and feel and hurt. let the pain leave your body. the longer it stays there, the more it will hurt you.

Here’s a utilitarian use for your recyclables. In Warnes, 30km from Santa Cruz, Bolivia, former lawyer Ingrid Vaca Díez is helping poor families build affordable housing using the stuff we normally throw away.
Her project, Centro Ecoagroturistico (EcoAgroTouristic Center) was born from the idea of using unwanted material to build eco-friendly houses. With six other like-minded women, she collected four thousand plastic bottles, known as pet, from friends, local schools and bountiful garbage dumps to obtain the materials needed for their work.
The bottles were filled with sand, earth or sawdust to make them hard, then bound to each other using cement, one on top of the other. When that work was completed, another coat of cement, clay or straw was applied to both sides to reinforce the wall.
Eighty-one bottles are needed to create one square meter and at least ten thousand are needed to build one small house with two bedrooms, living/dining area, kitchen and bathroom.
dude being a little kid during an election year was THE funniest thing. kids were all just repeating their parent’s political beliefs verbatim without understanding any of what they were saying. My elementary school did a mock election and I didn’t know what was going on so I just voted for Obama because thats what everyone else was doing. My friend and I were chatting on a swing set and she said to me “I hope Mitt Romney gets elected because I don’t think Obama will get anything done” bitch you are 9
note to self: you are an intelligent woman. forgive yourself for all the times you were stupid and naive. you are a woman of heart. forgive yourself for the times you were soft when you should have been hard.

it kinda feels like the only thing we're meant to be doing this year is internal healing and letting things go. there is so much pain this year so let's not feel bad if we don't do anything 'productive'. just being alive is enough
Note that this was written on March 9th, 2020. Today is September 3rd, 2020. There are 18,000,000+ unemployed. 180,000 dead, and Amazon is about to break a trillion dollars. One thing that hasn’t changed though. Amazon didn’t pay any taxes last year, and they won’t pay taxes this year.
my friend who is a 1st grade teacher had to crowdfund PPE. she teaches at a title one school, and the students parents are hurting so much financially right now that she had to cut the supply lists in half. and the kids won’t be able to share or use communal supplies because of covid
eat the rich
(most of her kids are POC, but I guess now talking about systemic racism and white privilege is “divisive anti-american propaganda” so)
