- texture problems when foods touch, has to eat food a specific way so nothing slimy or gooey is touching anything else and he can easily seperate the ingrediants if he wants to
- cant microwave the same thing twice
- doesnt enjoy flavor that much (sad I know. Mayest I bring up the chicken and rice and broccoli thing again. Chicken tastes like styrofoam if you dont put anything on it)
- as a result of his eating habits he tends to 'forget' to eat if whats given to him doesnt fit these standards. He tries to be as polite and subtle about it as possible but he will take like three bites, say its good, and then mysteriously wander off. His mom had the worst time ever trying to figure out what he liked as a kid
- has shutdowns over meltdowns predominantly and since he's undiagnosed he's under the impression he just has really awesome conflict/stress management skills. When in a shutdown he'll retreat back to his room and sit in the dark for a few hours. As in. Gets home. Sits at desk. Puts his head down and takes a "nap"
- has trouble with understanding the inner workings of his peers. Was most notable when he was in middle and high school. Tends to talk about his hobbies more as a means to try and connect so people wrote him off as being a little self-absorbed and too smart to engage with and that really bummed him out
- definitely did as much research as he could on How To Be An Active Listener, and What To Say When Someone Is Sad, and Do's and Don't Of Conversations. Went to college having a better framework on how to interact with people but never got to try it out because he didnt make any friends
- mysteriously pretty emotionally intelligent cus of this
- didnt ever get bullied. Got a worse treatment. Got ignored and forgotten about
- difficulty with hygiene esp after he moved out and he didnt have a mom to badger him anymore. Forgets to brush his teeth the most, showers are time consuming and doing laundry is like a once in a blue moon event
- everything has its place everything needs to go where it needs to be and throwing his clothes on the floor is exactly where they need to go
- talks to himself and pretends to have an audience because of his loneliness, this isnt as much an autistic headcanon more of a result of his autistic traits isolating him from other people and him compensating
- most intense eye contact known to man. His mother 100% hammered in the "look me in the eye when Im talking to you" thing when he was a kid. Bro is observing everything about you
- aaaaannddd special interest is Minecraft and has an interest in a slew of different things (ciphers, code, languages etc) but thats obvious
