Are there any little tidbits about the knights you'd like to share? What sort of hobbies do they have, what do they do when they're not doing their knightly duty? Also anything at all you'd like to share about Percival (she's my favorite <3)👀

aaaaand lancelot. dear lancelot. i know so far ive mostly portrayed him as the saddest wet cat of a man youve ever seen and he does fit that description for a while--a good chunk of the story too--but if u can believe it he wasnt always (and wont always be) like that. in fact before The Horrors he was also pretty charismatic and enthusiastic, and he had a strong sense of chivalry and heroism about him. he was even kinda snarky and playful :] its just yknow. when shit happened it kinda broke him to the point of where all that was just buried and he became rly closed off and quiet--not cruel or uncaring by any means, but more numb to the world around him. its complicated lol. but despite everything he kept his heart full of love and compassion, which made the things he had to do extremely difficult and painful for him. in any case, he's always put others before himself even if it was detrimental to his own wellbeing. a good example of this is with his sister elena; he wanted to be a knight since childhood bc of his instict to protect her that evolved into wanting to protect people in general, and becoming a knight would give him a means of supporting her with a better home and access to more advanced medicines to help with her chronic illness :] however this. was definitely used against him. badly. so while his sister still gets these benefits he himself suffers a lot to keep it going at some point. and then theres the whole shit with him taking on burdens so the other knights dont have to, or being "the bad guy" for the sake of others. everything has kinda weighed on him so heavily he's developed pretty bad anxiety and depression over time. definitely a lotta ptsd. like a lot. a lance-lot if you will. sorry *edit: i didnt even mention his hobbies wtf. he rly loves flowers like A Lot so gardening is something he super enjoys, especially when its with somebody like his sister ^^ all the knights care for their own horses but he in particular loves spending time with and caring for his own horse (gawain jokes about him reading her bedtime stories and tucking her in at night lol). he honestly loves writing as well, mostly poetry or short stories, but he super fell out of that once things started getting bad. in fact at a certain point he just. didnt indulge in hobbies at all. it was so dire bro*

i'll copy paste the main theme of the story first:

"heart of camelot is, at its core, a story about growth. its a story about how people make mistakes, sometimes big ones, and theyre not entitled to anyone’s forgiveness, but they do have the power to move forward and better themselves and be a better person tomorrow than they were yesterday. they can forgive themselves and move on. and i think thats a really important story to share, especially with like..i guess, the culture and attitude around this sorta thing? people make mistakes and dont inherently Get forgiveness, but theyre allowed to better themselves and move forward and learn and grow, and the person they are Now should be what’s important, rather than the person they were in the past"

on top of that it has heavy themes of love of all sorts :] romantic, familial, platonic, for others, and for the self.. etc

and a fun motif i have throughout the story has to do with edelweiss. its neat. i like it very much
