Remus Lupin and Lily Evans are more my family than you are. Just because we share DNA doesn’t mean anything.” she told him with a roll of her eyes. “She is someone fucking important to me. I’ll always protect her.”

“ Well you were a Ravenclaw, I shouldn’t be surprise that you are smart. Though you were always a bit too quiet to garner my attention.” He cared little that people avoided him, if anything it assumed him. “ You know nothing that happened. If I killed them I would brag about them, they were murdered and I will deal with the ones that did it. If you want to know a murder you should talk to your sweet Lucinda. Her parents did die under strange ways and then on top of that, she did get all their money.” Rabastan grinned. “ I don’t know how half those people are, probably aren’t worth nothing, but good for you and your little family. Hopefully they will all survive what’s to come. The funny thing about protecting someone, it hurts a hell of a lot more when they die.”

I don’t give a fuck what happened to her parents. To yours. If they were murdered they probably had it coming.” she told him. “Just like you’ll die under stange circumstances if you fuck with my cousin.” she said. “Is that why you don’t protect anyone. Cause you know you won’t be able to save them. I’ll make sure I do.”

Are you accusing me of murdering my parents? Wow and here I thought you couldn’t go no lower. They were murdered, my brother beaten, I am shocked,” he said trying to keep the sarcasm out of his tone. “ I ignore you most of the year, it’s Christmas, I thought I would be a good cousin and speak to you, I suppose it’s you that don’t care for family, my mistake.” If Rabastan had a different life he would have made a good actor, or lawyer. In this life, he was a good storyteller, ones that sometimes he started to believe.  “ Ah, such a sore spot with Lucinda, it’s always cute. Acting like a big sister.” He teased.

It’s okay, you could always gravel and marry some lowlife human.” He crossed his eyes listening to her rant for  bit. “ I am happy, my life is wonderful, you sadly have me mistaken with someone else. I don’t care what you do with your sad little life. To tell you the truth I forgot you even existed until I saw you tonight. Be proud of your little life, it doesn’t matter to me either way,” he yawned. “ Are you done, Gamp. Lucinda and you are so similar, so stupid and never really paying attention to things. Emma and I love talking about how insane Lucinda is, we were just talking about her in mind a few weeks ago.”

"What it is is me not being afraid of your shit anymore.” she said simply. “You keep saying it’s anger. Is it because that’s all you know. I know what it’s like when I’m angry and this isn’t it.” she told him. “I already told you I don’t care about their money. If I cared I would have been the little doll they wanted me to be.” she said “Listening to them until I can actually get into their good graces before I finally take them out. Isn’t that what you did.” she said with a sneer. “Isn’t that the plan of so many people here. There is no familial bonds. It’s just a grab of power and wealth.” she said. “If you’re so happy you wouldn’t need to point out what I do with mine. You would just ignore me and how I live and yet here you are telling me what I need to do to be happy like you.” She said before reaching up to grab his chin to make sure he was looking her in the eye. “If you truly were happy you wouldn’t feel the need to talk down to someone you’d forgotten. But instead you need to put me and my life down. Does it make you feel better to know you have more wealth and more people know you’re name.” she asked. With her hand on her wand she brought it to his neck. “Now I’m angry. You don’t talk about her. You don’t touch her. You don’t insinuate anything bad about her or you’ll find yourself on the end of some of my favorite hexes.” she told him.

Rabastan rolled his eyes. “ Who says I don’t have anyone? Clearly you have been out of the loop too long, Nadia. I have a lot of friends and people I associate with, but thank you for your concern for my social life,” he laughed. “ Really such insight from a bartender. If that is what you have to tell yourself then go ahead. Be important, take us down. You say you don’t give a fuck, but that is because you are too busy in a this depressing little party for yourself to see anything else. You could be so much more Nadia, but you rather be a disgrace, even if you did beg to come back no one would want you, and your father would sooner kill you,” he yawned, already bored with her. “ Luci is another waste, she gave all this way for what a little halfblood that broke her heart, but at least she is smart enough to make something of herself and keep friends,” Lucinda probably killed her parents too so that give her credit in his mind. “ Or maybe she is using Lucinda, I don’t care to spill all my lover’s secrets.”

“Are they your friends or are they just people who don’t want to get on your bad side because you’re a fucking psychopath.” she said simply. “Maybe you can hold your alcohol but not everyone can and some people think what they do is impressive and not just some pathetic conforming bullshit trying to keep mummy and daddy’s money and pride.” she said simply. “You say I’m in a depressing party Rabastan but I’ve never been more happy in my life. You know nothing about me. Sure I’m not as fiscally sound as you are but I still am happy with who I am and what I’m doing. Not all success is the same and maybe you’d be happier if you stop comparing people cause we’re all bloody different. I’m proud of what I did. I made myself a home. I got a job where I can pay my bills and do what I love in my free time. And I did that on my own. I’m happy with that. I’m proud of that. You thinking I’m unsuccessful for my accomplishments says more about you and your superiority bullshit than it will ever say about anything about me.” she told him. “And you will not be acting like my cousin is anything but the amazing person she is.” she said her hand moving to her wand. “If she were using Lucinda I would not be here right now. She had no reason to invite me except for Lucinda. Me being here like you said probably makes her look worse after all who wants a disgrace on her guest list.”

It’s pathetic, cousin,” he said almost pitying the girl. “ If you care so many write a letter, after all he is here for the people,” he smirked. “ There are a lot of things I care about more than where to put my dick, have you not heard I am a taken man.” He said glancing between her at Emma.

“The first thing we can agree on.” she said with a roll of her eyes. “Oh. Is that why you have no one. Because you’re so low no one is at your level.” She said raising her eyebrow. “See being a bartender gives me so much insight into people. You act like it’s a lowly job but here’s the thing. I hear everyone’s drunk pitiful conversations and know just what everyone is up to. If I gave a fuck about the war you, your brother, your entire side would be taken down by one lowly bartender.” she said leaning in talking quietly so only he could hear as if it were a secret. “But I don’t give a shit about you so you don’t need to worry.” She rolled her eyes. “Honey I haven’t been invited in years I got invited this year because Lucy wants me here and Emma doesn’t give a fuck who is proper when it comes to pureblood society cause you’re all a fucking joke.” she told him“But see I don’t have the political pull cousin. I’m a disgrace remember.” she said. She let out a loud laugh. “What you’re fucking Emma Vanity.” she said following his gaze. “And yet she’s whipped for our cousin. I think you might need to have a discussion with her about who she’s taken by cause I feel like you’re not top of her list.”

“ Well it is a good thing she is already in the grave, you wouldn’t want her to have a heart attack on Christmas.” Though that would get the ball off to a good start. “ Dress robes are for the older generation. I hate muggles and mudblood, but killing them all is a bad play, they make nice nothing and good dolls. My outfit is a bit of a protest. Look at me becoming an activist. And if my mother is rolling over in her grave, then it’s a plus.”

She snorted. “If you really want to be an activist you can you know get your brother to fuck off and not put dumb fucking laws out there that discourage interacting with muggles and muggleborns or you know punishing them for just existing. But then to do that you’d have to care about literally anything other than where you’re putting your dick next.”

Nadia was not a fan of the Lestranges. She honestly wasn’t a fan of coming at all but her cousin had wanted her there so she’d chosen a dress in the most offensive color to her father that she had not donned in a very long time and showed up only to be assaulted by this bastard. “My mother god rest her soul would have been bloody scandalized at every outfit here. Yours included. Where are your dress robes. Or are you not aware your mother is also turning in her grave if she could see her son dressed as a muggle at a formal event.”

Who they take after more: It's kind of a toss up. Both are very similar

Personal Headcanon: Adam was adopted by Remus and Sirius when he was very young taken out of an his household after his parents started to abuse him when he was attacked by Fenrir much like Remus. He never trusted anything especially after Sirius went to jail. With Remus alone and taking care of a traumatized toddler Nadia stepped in to help take care of the child and became a mother to him. Neither Remus or her were interested in romance and he didn't care that she didn't want to be intimate so they decided to become queer platonic partners and raise the boy together. He didn't react well with people but he was always good with animals. He never spoke again after being moved. He almost did with Sirius but all hope left them when he was seen as a criminal and so he spends his days mute. He learned at a young age how to do nonverbal magic.

When did you realize you were Aro/ace?

Ace when I was probably around 14 and I realized I didn't see attractive people the same way everyone around me did. I couldn't imagine them in bed or any kind of situation that wasn't just a conversation. The aro bit was harder with all the allonormativity around and my parents I couldn't see the difference in how I loved my friends versus a romantic love. I think I was 20 when I realized I'm just not romantically attracted to people and not interested in any type of romantic relationship.

What are you parents like?

I won't say the worst. My mother was caught in a pureblood marriage she didn't ask for and had no way of getting out of and my father was an abusive narcissist who just wanted children to make him look better. My mother has more piece being dead and the world will be a better place when he follows her.
