Something about you clings onto tragedy.
You were once mesmerizing, my sanctuary
And I, your muse, your object of affection.
We were once so full of passion.
It all began with persistence and honesty,
But ended with evasion and inconsistency.
I’m not the first lulled into your cycle never ending.
But I hoped you’d change, I never stopped praying.
Nothing I’d do to fix what we had could be made,
Cause clearly, your soul has already swayed.
To find out your heart no longer beats for me,
Finally, the truth has set me free.
I do not think I will ever want to replace
My thoughts taking flight in slumber, wasting days.
But more than dozing and snoozing, as it would seem,
There is none so far as sweet as my kaleidoscope daydreams.
Art in the Park 03222015
Walked to Salcedo Park on a Sunday afternoon to see my aunt’s NutArt at Art in the Park. It was a first to go on my own that day as Sundays would usually follow my family’s way.
Seeing familiar faces and forms made my heart skip with joy while taking strolls in trails that did not disappoint.
Quite naturally with my candy affinity, I couldn't help but stare at the fluffy figures made in the artistic affair.
Found myself stealing seconds for wonderful works that spoke to me sweetly but silently.
Oh the thinks you can think up if you only try! - Dr. Seuss
Took a break from the crowded conviviality to have a good brew and chill chit chat with friends for more than a decade at Commune. Had gratifying cups of Mocha and Latte in a quaint and quiet corner while catching up.
Truly thankful they took time for some talking despite coming straight from a hike that morning!
We then followed our footsteps back to the park taking one more chance to see the works of art.
Finally found my aunt sharing the story of her NutArt.
The booth Sheer Joy sheltered her works that moody day, a perfect name for the pieces, I must say! :)
I can only wish someday to have sufficient skill and technique for my works to display. As every work of art comes from a humble beginning, I will never stop dreaming. And for you who are reading, I leave a suitable closing :)
Amen.

My kind of people.
Take care on your way back to NY, Dani! We love you and we will miss you very much. Can't wait for you to come back home again so that we can have milkshakes and dinner by Karl! :)
