Nakano had come back to consciousness slowly, resisting the waking world for as long as possible. But when it returned it was with the memories of all that had happened. He’d messed up, big time. Not entirely sure how he’d messed up, but he knew it was definitely his fault absolutely. Bad vote got their loved ones killed, bad choice left Akira alone to face- to…
Eight people had died before him but this was the first time it was someone Nakano was actually close to. His reflection was momentarily interrupted by walking directly into a door-frame. Aah, so much to do. He had to go track everyone down, make sure people were okay, he should see Fukai, oh, and Sora had to be heartbroken now- he had to be. After everything he had to feel worse about Akira than Nakano did, right? He couldn’t imagine worse.
Returning to his bedside he jammed his eye back into his head, popped on the patch and hat, and sped out of the room, smacking the door-frame once more.
It was then he came face to face with a ghost.
He was awake, door-frame pain had proved that… so then…
For once, Nakano was the one initiating the contact, as he practically lunged to envelope Akira in a hug. “You’re- thank god, thank god, I thought- you were gone.” He may have started crying a little…. a lottle, “I’m so glad to see you.”
It hadn’t been that long since Akira left his room, but it felt like ages to him… He didn’t know what to do with himself right now. He held Little Foot closer to his chest, wrapping both arms around him.
At least he still has Little Foot-
He didn’t get to dwell on that for long as he was snapped out of his own thoughts by a sudden hug and being lifted off the ground?! He would’ve shouted in surprise if it weren’t for Nakano’s arms wrapped around him.
“Ah…. Hisashi-san…” his voice was quieter than usual, but he was able to get a smile on despite the tear stains on his cheeks. “S-Sorry… to worry you…” He would’ve hugged him back, however his arms were a little trapped between the two of them.
Akira. Please. That’s not what he means.
“I-It’s good… t-to see you… too…” he tried to put feeling into his words as to not worry Nakano further, sadly he didn’t think it worked.
