Cherrystones ——————— Had a great weekend full of the freshest of fresh lobster and clams. All the seafood we ate wasn’t even 24 hours old. The great thing about living by the shore is having access to all the local, sustainable food sources and having the ability to harvest it yourself. My family has good connections to some great fishermen and sometimes we’ll go out and search for the food ourselves. There’s something so humbling to me about being close and connected to what I eat and knowing it cannot possibly get better. I can’t write a post about seafood without pushing the importance of sustainability. I encourage everyone to be mindful and educated on the effects of their consumption. Buy responsibly, ask questions, learn!! Makes me so sad to think about all the commercial farming and harvesting that effects generations of animals and organisms. Let’s learn how to respect the food chain. Got some nice VitD on my walk today.
