Nabi’s note: hihihi!!! Back with another ff for the Seventeen branch of Nananabiii’s cafe. This is heavily inspired by a few comments I’ve seen under a dk edit where these two sum it all up “the only thing saving him is his lethal face card.” and the other one was “a loser in a hot guys body” (both were /j obviously) and it got me thinking to a conversation I was having with one of my friends where they were like “If I had no context on who he is, I would either say that it truly is a loser in a hot guys body or god gave him the weirdness to balance out to the aura he has." also this isn't proof read completely, if there's any mistakes y'all find please let me know, but please enjoy another piece from the Nananabiii Signature Seventeen Cafe!! (also reqs are open!! don't hesitate to request something!! here are my rules)
DK was lucky that his face card is so lethal that all the stuff he does that dino claims “scary” or other people would claim as weird, could be looked past.
Example a is occurring right now actually. You were standing with the rest of the GoSe (Going Seventeen) staff during the recording of one of the many episodes. It's a second edition to the Seventeen’s Got Talent GoSe episode from 5 years back.
A few members had already gone already and Minghao had just wrapped up his turn a few seconds ago, and a few of the members were holding their shoulders as a way to try to soothe the pain from the shocks they received for laughing.
“Okay, after that comedic number we should move on to the next contestant,” Dino says with a smile directed to the camera while still holding his shoulder with one hand and using his other to go through the papers the GoSe staff gave him and Seungkwan to host the episode and for them to know the cues and the order the members were supposed to go in. “Dokyeom-ssi, would you please come out and show us what you got?” he says as he directs his attention to the crowd of his fellow members sitting on stools.
DK stands up and makes his way to the corner real quickly to prepare. The staff kept the vibe for this episode as a more chill vibe and they did this as the studio where they were recording in was colder than the others, so they wanted the members to be able to keep warm, and the stylist kept this in mind and it’s pretty noticeable, as more than half the members were in hoodies or zip-ups.
The moment DK comes back into frame, or into view for the members they all burst out laughing; DK had put his hood behind his ears and had started to sing a few lines from Xcalibur, a musical he was part of for 2 runs one in the summer of 2019 and another for the fall of 2021.
“Good afternoon, Dokyeom-ssi, what is the talent you’re going to be showing us today?” Seungkwan says after recomposing himself but still on the verge of laughing, something mirrored by all the members.
“Good afternoon~” DK says in a singing voice hitting the same notes he previously was when he was coming in causing the staff to burst out laughing after trying to keep quiet since the first instant when he came out.
‘The mics are definitely going to pick up all the laughing on this side too’ you think to yourself while you giggle while looking at DK.
As the shooting goes on throughout the day, it finally concludes around 6. This hasn’t been the longest GoSe shoot but it also definitely wasn't the shortest, regardless of if they were down two members.
“Good Job everyone!” the PD-nim says to both the staff and the boys all bowing to each other as the boys made their ways off the set. DK makes his way to you on his way out.
“Soooo, how was it? How does it feel to watch GoSe from behind the scenes?” he asks you with a smile as he goes in for a hug.
You hug him back and immediately respond back with “watching GoSe from behind the scenes is honestly nice cause I can watch all of it even the parts that might not come out on the final edit.” you look at him and then follow up with “plus I get to see you being goofy like this more, like you act like this when you're with me but not to this level.”
“What level is that?” he says while smiling at you. Coincidentally, Vernon and Dino walk past y’all at that exact moment and stop in their tracks and fake throw up, awe, and fake throw up again.
“Hyung, you looked so normal for a second that it scared me for a moment…” Dino says and Dk looks up at him like he just accused him of committing treason.
“Hey, what does that mean?” Dk says while pointing at him
“You aren't acting like a loser stuck in a hot guys body” Vernon adds
“So you think I'm hot?” Dk says with a smirk as he lets go of you and walks up to Vernon. And then he stops for a moment and responds with “wait- did you just call me a loser?”
Vernon and Dino laugh at the fact that DK didn’t even realize they were calling him a loser until a few seconds later and they proceed to walk away as Dk stood there for a second.
“Come back, you two” he says while chasing them, more like walking towards them, while doing the same dance as the latatata dance from the GoSe power rangers episode causing everyone on set that had watched the exchange to start laughing again.
You walk towards the direction he had gone, and hold his hand.
“Let’s go home, they’re just being goofy” you say while giggling with him. Y’all start making your way to his car and sit in your seat and connect to the bluetooth of the car to play your playlist.
On the drive back home he says “You never told me what level of goofy that is that you claim you never see me do around you,” he says as he lifts his right hand from your thigh and reaches for your hand.
“The silly, dumb, goofy you are with the boys, I mean you’re goofy with me but like not to the extent that you are with them.” you say and as you wrap up what you’re telling him he brings your hand up to his lips to leave a kiss on the back of it.
“Well, love, that’s because I don’t care about what they think. But with you darling, i’m too in love to not worry about what you think, I'm a little too love sick and happily the doctor said there's no cure for it so you’re just going to have to deal with it.” DK says as you feel him smile against your hand all whilst keeping his eyes on the road.
“That was so cheesy that I might agree that the boys might be right,” You say and he bring your hand down onto his lap, still holding on to it as he draws circles with his index finger.
“Right about what exactly, baby? Cause i don’t think any of them have ever been right about anything since i’ve met them” he furrows this eyebrows
“Baby, don’t take this the wrong way, but I’m agreeing with the fact that you’re literally a loser stuck in a hot guy's body” you say and let a giggle out at the end as he turns to you and acts so shocked and heartbroken.
“A loser? Darling, are you really calling me a loser?” he says while keeping up the facade of hurt but you just keep on laughing “fine, I’m a looser but I’m a looser for you, I’m your looser”
“That you are I better never catch you making these types of hopeless love lines for anyone else” you say and point at him and he immediately gets serious and responds with,
“Undersood, yes captain” and you both start laughing again. Minutes go by and you guys arrive at the parking garage of your shared apartment before he mentions something else, “So you think I’m hot, huh, love?” A smirk at you and his hand leaves yours and goes back to its previous place, on your thigh.
“Obviously, baby, your face card is so lethal that I wonder how I pulled you.” you say and let’s out a chuckle.
“I should be asking that question about you.” he says as he leans in and places one of his hands on your cheek and kisses you.
hiii! just like the title suggests these are my rules (or terms and conditions) for people who are requesting!

like it suggests nothing very gory as in lots of blood loss, graphic death scenes, cutting, suicide. just nothing along those lines primarily for the sake of my mental health but I also have a really hard time saying no to people so i'm kind of trying to do that by adding this in to the rules.

As someone who is recently starting as a fanfic writer after being a reader for a bit, I want to express that if you're going to be drawing inspo from one of my pieces, please verify with me that it's ok and mention that it's inspired. Please keep in mind that inspired and flat out copying isn't the same, even if you change the names of the characters/people in the stories and slightly change it to fit your universe, if there are too many parallels, you will be called out on it. And for my readers, if one of my ideas or stories is too close to another piece by another writer, please do tell me cause the last thing I would like to do is copy someone without knowing that I have.
3.) nothing very religious or race specific
As a member of the POC community, I am trying my best to keep all of my writings to a neutral tone and if they are not they'll have a note next to them on if they're not, but overall I would like my writing to be as inclusive as possible especially in now in day where we all need a space to escape from modern reality and I would like for people to be able to do that.
For now these three rules are all my rules, as time goes on these rules will probably get updated and just remember to check this before you make a request just to make sure that you're not breaking any of my rules. If you're request comes in and I notice it breaks one of my rules, I will assume it was an accident and will respond to your ask and just let you know that I cannot or do not feel comfortable writing that.

Mornings with Woozi can be hectic depending on the time of year and also on his work schedule. Sometimes he’s so caught up in work to the point where he doesn’t necessarily realize the time when he comes to lay in bed with you hoping to get a few hours of rest before his manager calls him letting him know that he and the team have arrived at your place to pick him up. And these sometimes happen more frequently than wanted in the mid portions of preparations. Which is ironic considering how packed his schedule is during promotions. But the issue currently at hand is that the company keeps asking for parts to be re-modified. If we were to keep count on how many times the company has asked him to change a cord progression or the high note to be an octave higher or replace one melody or to add reverb on a specific part (which just sounds out of place to him, but alas he wants to get this over with), the list could go on, but again, who’s keeping count?
You are, actually, you’ve been keeping count since the first change request (which was an extremely long list, it was like 25 change requests for a singular song…). You noticed everything the moment Woozi came back home at 4 in the morning a few weeks back. Not ideal for either of you. You were his rock and his life as much as he was yours. There have been many times where this has happened. Him coming in while you're awake getting ready to head out to go to your job.And on top of that, just from looking at him for a split second the moment he came home that morning to you, you could see that the moment his body hits the comfort of your bed he would be out.
Today was one of those mornings where he would show up back at your shared place in the early portion of the morning where the sun was still hiding over the horizon. Luckily for him, you had woken up a bit earlier than usual and made him some breakfast, something you decided to do for him the moment you realized that he was going to come back home late.
Now, the thing is…you’re not the best cook per se, so just in case you messed up the porridge or any of the side dishes you had a back up plan, probably the best backup plan — order Woozi some delivery food from his favorite breakfast spot. You had texted woozi’s manager asking when he was planning on picking him up for the schedules.
This wasn’t like a day to day thing where they get picked up unless they have a really busy schedule and didn’t get proper sleep. His manager had noticed that Woozi had been at the company until 4 am and decided that it would probably be best if he picked him up so Woozi could sleep for a bit more in the car.
Manager-Nim: [I’m going to pick him up around 10 in the morning, it was supposed to be earlier but with the amount of adjustments he has to make to this album I thought it would be best for him to sleep in]
You read the message from his manager and shoot him a quick ‘thank you so much for the heads up’ message. You glanced up to the clock - 7 AM. It’s almost time, let me order the food just in case and wake him up. And you did, in that order exactly.
You excused yourself from your cubicle to the breakroom, which was surprisingly empty, to call him. The call rang and went unanswered. You called once more and on the 5th ring he picked up.
“Good morning, my love! It’s currently 7:20-something in the morning and you have to get up and get ready for today!” you say through the phone the moment he picks up with a groan
“Good morning, baby.” he says, sighs for a second, and stays silent afterward. He’s falling asleep again.
“Jihoonie, darling, get up. I know you’re probably comfortable in bed and getting some well deserved sleep but you need to eat something. I made some porridge but just in case it’s not edible I ordered you some breakfast from your go to breakfast place.” you say and hear him laugh at the second half of what you're telling him and then you hear rustling probably from the duvet as he sits up.
“Thank you baby for the porridge and the delivery. I’ll let you know if the porridge is edible,” he says with a giggle “did you talk with my manager again?”
“Of course I did, I wanted to make sure that you got up on time and at least had time to eat something, before you’re so busy and don’t have time.”
And here’s the thing you’re not seeing while saying this - you have Woozi grinning like if he were back in middle school and his crush had just confessed to him.
“First off, thank you so much for everything you do for me even though you’re at work. Second off, I love you to the moon and back. And lastly, I'm going to go get ready and eat breakfast so, I’ll talk to you later.” He says and y’all promptly say your good byes and hang up. You go back to work and Woozi gets up to take his shower and get dressed to take on the stressful work that’s been holding him back from coming home to you earlier like he would like.
As the day went on you both would briefly text each other little updates on how your days were going.
Jihoonie: [1 picture]
Jihoonie: [it’s edible and not bad, save the recipe you used cause this is honestly one of the best porridges I've had in a while]
You: [1 picture]
You: [have been in meetings almost all day ㅠㅠ but luckily i’m almost off the clock. Should I stop by the studio with dinner so that we can at least eat dinner together?]
He didn’t answer immediately because he also just wrapped up a meeting himself.
Jihoonie: [that sounds like an amazing idea and you’ll be able to hear the finished album now that I'm just working on the last few tweeks and should be done by later tonight.]
You replied with a heart to the message and went back to work and time went by quickly, and it was probably due to how caught up in your work you were that when you looked up at the clock it read 5 PM.
You wrapped up the last thing you were working on and started to pack your things to head out to pick up some food for you and Woozi to eat dinner, you settled for western cuisine—italian specifically. You’ve been craving pasta for a hot minute and he hasn’t had some since…well, a while also.
As you went up to his studio you bumped into his manager and made some brief small talk and you let him know that regardless of if Woozi was done or not he was being dragged back home early so that he could rest up and his manager agreed while laughing at your statement.
You walk up to the door of the studio and knock twice before you hear a ‘come in’ leave his lips.
“Dinner delivery for our Jihoonie~” you say singsongy while walking in and placing the bags on the table next to the couch. Jihoon hears you and turns around and gets up to hug you and greet you.
“I’m so happy you came,” Woozi starts saying as he envelopes you in a hug “I missed having your presence around me for more than split seconds.” he says and you giggle as a response cause it’s true, even though it wasn’t split seconds, it for sure felt like it.
“Let’s eat and then you should show me what you have finished and maybe as your muse I can inspire you further.” you say with a smile on your face as he grins at you.
“Sounds like a good plan,” he says and leaves a brief kiss on your lips as he goes to set up the table so you guys can eat “Do you want something to drink? I finally restocked the mini-fridge and the coffee machine” he says as he points to the mini-fridge in the corner of the room next to the couch.
“Water is fine, cause I’ve been feeling dehydrated lately.” you say as you make your way to the fridge and grab your water, “what about you?”
“I’m going to finish drinking my iced americano” he says while grabbing it from a small desk he has for his food and drinks next to his main mixing desk just as a precaution so nothing gets spilled on the mixer board. You nod and sit on the couch and open your plate.
As you eat, you guys talk about how work has been, how the album is coming along, the new cafe that opened near your apartment, and how the members have been. As you guys wrap up your dinner, you move towards his desk to hear how the album sounds.
Woozi let you hear it when it was in the initial stages of production but since then you hadn’t gotten the chance to listen properly through all the songs and appreciate the time and effort, the melodies, the effects, the panning, appreciate all of it and the way it all fits like puzzle pieces.
“Ready to listen to the album, my beloved muse?” Woozi says as he holds your hand in one hand and the other is draped over the mouse opening up the Ableton files for each song.
“Always ready,” you say as you look at him like he hung the stars and that was a look he reciprocated to you and you cue him to start playing the music, “music, cue” and the melodies start to adorn the space of the room as you start memorizing each little detail of each song.
