What I think happened to Naomily after Skins Fire
I’ll reblog this again for anyone who missed it the first time. I thought about what happened next after we saw Naomily in the hospital for the last time. This is really what I think it’s the most realistic continuation based on cancer facts, how the storyline was written and how Naomi/Emily have always been written in canon. What do you think would've happened if Naomi and Emily broke up after s4e2?
They would have gotten back together before the end of S4. It was impossible for them to stay away from each other for long. Their love and attraction was too strong. Naomi would have spent all the time being depressed and doing drugs and Emily would have fallen apart worse than she did till they got back together.

It's so sad seeing someone who was once one of those naomily shippers who loved naomily to the core would end up so disheartened by what happened. Really I hate what skins did to this fandom. I'll miss visiting this blog and you're views about anything naomily.
Skins Fire ruined my love for the show in general. I was a Skins fan as well as a Naomily shipper. I didn't like any of what they did with the characters in S7. Naomily was just the biggest crime. It's hard to continue to love something when it's so utterly tainted by the ending.

What do you think is emily's life in new york during that time? It must have been hard coz she's living in a different country all by herself.
We know it was hard because she said so in the Skype scene with Naomi. She sounded a kind of lonely without Naomi there. I expect it was a lot of hard work and missing her girlfriend. But the work would have been something she enjoyed doing or she wouldn't have stayed. And she probably liked being in a different country in general because she loved traveling. She just needed Naomi and it probably would have been her dream come true.

What do you think emily thought of each person in her gen 2 gang? Like what was her impression on them and which ones do you think she liked the most? DO you think emily liked cook?
It's hard to know for sure unless she outright said. From what she said and how she acted I reckon she loved all her friends as she was a caring person.
She very much liked Thomas and JJ as people.
She thought Pandora was lovable and funny.
Effy she was weary of at times and didn't always approve of her behaviour but she liked her.
Freddie she liked and at times even pitied. She didn't understand his obsession with Effy.
Karen she didn't seem to know what to make of but she seemed fine with her by the end of S4.
Katie she loved because she was her twin but they had a love/hate relationship. Though mostly love by mid-S4.
Cook she liked well enough. But he also really annoyed her, that was made clear in the novel and various other times in scenes. She thought he was a tosser at times.
Naomi obviously she adored and she was her favourite lol

What do you think should have been naomil's last legacy in skins?
To be left as they were in 408. They already had their legacy. The one couple on the show that had the right ingredients to last long term. They were the true love story of Skins and should have been left as that. Them being brought back was unnecessary. Their tragic ending was a disgusting legacy to leave. They were meant to be different to the other couples. And they were meant to be a positive portrayal of gay characters. Fire ruined all that. They became cliche.

What sort of hindrances and realistic life problems do you think were still possible after s4? like left personality issues by naomily that could have been tackled instead and external issues?
I think their personality issues had already been as dealt with as much as they possibly could have been by the end of S4. I don't think they would have or could have changed much more. Only mature as people. Life issues were all that realistically were left for them, and I don't mean death. Their professional lives and getting through the normal trials in life. At most that is what they should have gotten in Fire as S4 had already dealt with anything else. Death is the only drama they could think of to do.
Naomily never should have been brought back. And I was always very against them being. My gut instinct was right. They are a prime example of why when a story has been given closure you leave it the fuck alone. You don't keep wanting more out of greed and you don't milk something for the sake of it. Because you will ruin it. And they did.

Which fake love interest did you hate the most and why for naomily? What sort of thinking do you think naomily had on why they used those people? Which one of them do you think helped naomily grow the best? In addition which hindrance in their storyline do you think was the best and worst?
I disliked them all as they were all horribly incompatible and it was awful to watch Naomily trying to force themselves be interested in people they clearly had no interest in or very little.
I don't think Naomily did much thinking when they were around the fakes. It was always based on them trying to force certain emotions. If they'd thought it all through they wouldn't have done the various stupid things they did.
I don't think any directly helped them grow, they did that themselves. Though I think Sophia and Mandy brought about the biggest fall outs that helped them grow. Through the drama of those two it made Naomily mature and be more emotionally open and more emotionally balanced as a couple.
The best hindrance were their own emotional issues. The worst was the stupid cancer and Naomi dying.

Why do you think naomily are true love? Despite what happened in fire what parts of their story do you think showed they were meant for a lifetime?
They're true love because they'd always loved each other and time didn't change that. In fact it made their love stronger. They were friends and lovers who understood each other very well. They shared a lot of the same values. They shared all or most of their first times with each other. They had a lot of fun and great sex. They shared a similar sense of humour.
Most importantly they endured whatever was thrown at them and didn't break. The one thing that could part them was death. Nothing else could and that kind of love is the truest. When you love someone faults and all and continue to love them through time, fear, bigotry, family pressure, third parties trying to get involved, cheating, bad times, distance and arguments. The fact they survived all of that intact shows they would have lasted a lifetime.
They'd been tested and proven their strength. Even the writers themselves say they'd have lasted. Naomi dying really was the only way they would be parted which is why the shithead writers did it because they didn't want any Skins couple lasting. Though even then Skins world afterlife means they won't be parted for long. Only in life. So the writers lose in the end anyway.

Can you describe naomily's journey during gen 2? As individual characters? How far do you think have they gone?
As a couple they became balanced in the end when they learned to compromise and to be completely honest and open with each other. And they learned they could be independent while still having each other. Basically they fully grew up.
Naomi became completely emotionally mature. She learned to accept the power of her love for Emily and to let the fear of it go. She fully accepted her sexuality and wasn't scared of being judged for it. She also learned to be emotionally open and that she needed to tell Emily everything. Of course Fire showed she still got overprotective and thought secrets where a good idea in those cases. That she didn't quite get over.
Emily learned she could be independent. She stood up to her family and stopped being the doormat. She learned she didn't need to hold on so tightly to love and that Naomi could ultimately be trusted to not run away. She grew up and became her own person outside of Naomily and Katie.
have any of the cast/crew said anything about naomily since fire? besides of JB's rude remarks about "not caring". Namely have kat/lily said anything? Also do you have another OTP?
Kat said something in an interview and I wasn’t impressed with her answers. I admit I lost more respect for her and Lily after only seeing some of the answers. She doesn’t seem to give a shit people are angry. In fact she can’t understand why we are. She also basically confirmed Naomily were brought back deliberately just to give them a tragic ending because that was something we hadn’t seen with them before. Her excuse for Naomi dying of cancer was the same as Jess’ and JB’s that it happening in real life so why shouldn’t it happen to Naomi.
The usual excuses and yet no valid justification for such a pointless storyline. It’s was the final annoyance for me and I’d prefer never to hear anyone related to the Skins Fire talk about it ever again. Hopefully I won’t have to once I avoid anything to do with it and all the people involved. I just feel more disrespected every time I read what they say about Naomily’s ending.
