I didn’t have anything prepared for the new year, but figured I should start it off with something!
Orchid is fun to draw and easy to draw, so here he is!
This year has NOT been swell. Between sickness, trauma, my cat's health, and whatever else life decides to throw at me.... Non stop, all the time. It has just been a LOT. And through all that, I just kinda stopped posting. One of the hardest things about social media is that as my art improves, my viewership seems to get less and less. Even though I still make art, a lot of the time I don't post it. I get disheartened. What's the point? My reach is nonexistent. The algorithm has all these little do's and do not's, and it kills my desire to do anything. So, now posting has become a huge executive function hurdle that is hard for me to overcome.
All that to say that I am going to at least TRY now. I want to post more on social media. My expectations are rather low.... But I want to at least start putting in more of an effort, albeit begrudgingly lol

I always forget how much I enjoy drawing “horror”, which I realized that to me just means that it’s anything with a gratuitous amounts of skin folds lol
Truly unfortunate how much of the base anatomy got covered by the character details. All my creepy skin folds got lost ʷᵃʰ (ᗒᗣᗕ)՞
