Lee Sung Kyung in ‘My Lips like Warm Coffee’
She liked messy beds and movie nights without any lights on. She liked the quiet company of a few good friends. Her idea of love was gentle and silent, like a whisper of a touch. Some things are magical and magic, contrary to popular opinion, is often found in the most ordinary of places.

“Is that another one of my jackets? You’re going to leave me without any jackets, y’know.”
“I know but it’s just that I’m so cold all the time. I’m gonna buy you another one okay? I promise”
“…I kind of don’t want to go to class.” He admitted. It wasn’t like him to skip, but today felt like a good day to do anything, besides more school work.
“ Really? Then what would you rather do?” She asked with a smile. “Maybe we could go eat something first. I’m starving.”
“I’m feeling sexy and free, like glitters raining on me” Beau hollered loudly while he shuffled around the corridor in his usual wildly intoxicated state. “I don’t want to alarm anyone but I think I’m the second coming of jesus. Just look at me…majestic” he joked
Nari couldn’t stop herself from laughing as she watched the boy. He looked so wasted she didn’t really know what to do with him. “ What did you take this time Beau?”
Even though Ophelia had grown up in Sweden and attended school in Scandinavia, her English was nearly perfect due to it being her father’s first language. But, being multilingual helped her escape from many situations. Her current one was from a group of third year girls. Normally she would just say something to scare them away, but they seemed content on following her around and idolizing her after she’d hexed a fourth year that’d been picking on them. It wasn’t something out of kindness, but the group had quite literally been standing in her way so she removed the fourth year from the situation. After scaring her off, the third years had apparently thought she’d done it to stand up for them, no matter how many times she tried explaining to them it wasn’t the case.
That was how she found herself running up to someone she vaguely recognized and grabbing their hand. “Thank Merlin I ran into you,” She breathed out quickly before turning to the girls, mouthing a ‘bye-bye’ to the girls who turned away gossipping with each other to give her some privacy. At least that’s what she was going to assume they were doing. “Sorry ‘bout that. Needed to get some little stalkers to back off.” Ophelia explained, letting go of the persons hand.
As she was walking around the school while reading one of her favourite book Nari felt someone grabbing her hand. She looked at the other girl with suprise and then gave her a shy smile. “ You scared me Ophelia.” She put her book back in her bag and looked at the group of girls slowly walking away from them. “Stalkers? What happened?”
It wasn’t as if Logan wanted to punch the kid in the face, but he wasn’t just going to stand there as the other student was clearly messing with the first year. Normally it wouldn’t of been that big of a deal, but it appeared as if the first year didn’t quite get a hang of the moving stairs yet, and was about to try in step onto them as soon as they were about to move due to what the older student said. He’d been quick to pull the kid back, saving him from a fall that was surely going to result in some broken bones. The older kid had simply shrugged with a ‘whoops’, as if he didn’t know. Logan barely even realized he’d punched the boy until he was standing over him, his hand in pain.
He ‘tsked’, walking away, but not before receiving a detention from Professor Longbottom as he walked by. As soon as he was able too, Logan decided to sit own on a dench and inspect his hand. Thankfully it didn’t appear to be too injured, just a little red. “What are you looking at?” He asked, noticing someone appeared to be staring at him.
Nari had never liked violence but as she watched the scene from afar she thought to herself that the older kid really decerved that punch. She saw the guy who had defended the first year sit on a bench and decided to go see if he was okay. “Are you hurt? I saw what you did just there and I wanted to know if you were okay.”
“Easy does it Mister Parkinson.” The matron said softly as she secured the last strap on the sling supporting his right arm. “Any crazy movements and you’ll dislocate your shoulder again and I’d rather not have you back in my hospital wing again. At least not until Quidditch season,” she says with a stern look, which slipped into an easy smile.
“Thank you, for everything. And for the no judgment on how I got in here in the first place. Still feels like a bad nightmare to me but here we are.” he says pointing to the sling. With a final goodbye, he headed off, towards the Great Hall in hopes to find some food before he went back to his dorm. Sitting down he filled his plate and began to eat only looking up when he realized that someone had sat across from him. “Hey.”
Nari was walking inside the Great Hall looking for a place to eat her lunch and finish her paper when she saw an empty seat at a table. Nari started to unpack her lunch and get her books out of her bag when she noticed to boy in front of her “ Hello there.” The young girl said with a bright smile . ”What happened to your arm?”
Does everyone secretly feel lost? Sort of shoved into a corner alone?… Have you ever felt like your home wasn’t home anymore? If you were me, where would you run?
