ah nothing like taking a nice break from the internet to read a good book

and by read a good book i mean inhale it in 4 hours or less

and then get back on the internet to inhale every fan made extension of this book such as every fan fiction written and every fan art drawn and every fan edit made maybe even some playlist

and then watching the tv show/movie adaptation if it exist and then stalking the entire cast on their socials bc it basically still counts as being in the universe and then finding more playlist that are relevant to the show

and then after following the entire cast and their immediate family members you’ve again run of content so you just rewatch the show and read some more fanfics

it’s been a week now btw

anyways i wonder how people who don’t rlly hyper fixate enjoy things bc that has just never been me

Last summer my friend’s mom discovered hundreds of teeny tiny toad tadpoles in a puddle in her driveway. It was drying up, so she asked me about moving them to a nearby pond. I told her not to, because moving amphibians unnaturally between water bodies can spread disease.

So she filled up a watering can every morning and every evening and replenished the puddle, adding dechlorinator drops she uses for her fish tank to make sure the water was safe.

The tadpoles survived and grew up into little toads who eventually hopped out of the puddle.

I think about the tenderness and compassion of this a lot.
