My secret identity: dsmp enjoyer
god's weakest soldier is scrolling tumblr instead of being productive or participating in any of their hobbies
you can love a character and still admit when theyâre wrong
i love Technoblade but i acknowledge his flaws (he has none). i can hold him accountable for his wrong doings (he's never done anything wrong in his life) and call him out on his actions (which are always right).
Im thinkingâŠ.long lost royal child type of au?? except its more like- king!phil one day decides to give up his crown, and thus flees the castle, taking his young children away with him so that they can grow happy and healthy without the burden of being royalty, the burden of all the kingdom looking to them with a million expectations.
wil, techno, and tommy grow up as literal farm boys, just living simple lives with simple passions, and then later, as they are older, they find out that they are technically in line for the literal throne of the kingdom they reside in. Duty comes knocking on their door, wanting an heir, and beside the shock of realizing there is this giant important role in your very blood, theres also some sense of betrayal for the fact Phil never told them they were literal royalty.
Phil is a little apologetic, but not really. Heâs mostly just pissed that people have come for his sons, and is very vehemently against them being on the throne. The boys, in their betrayed anger, ignore Phils efforts, and go to be royalty, only to realize there is such little comfort and joy to be found in the luxurious life. No one sees them as people. No one loves them truly. They are just painted as figures for the kingdom, judged for every action, looked to for every grand, heavy decision. It is too much. In that moment, they realize why Phil left at all, and why he took them away.
And then Phil bursts into the castle like âok partys over i want my kids backâ and proceeds to steal back his boys with all the power of a past king and all the rage of a father protecting his children
Oh this was a good au i like the concept of how isolating it can become to be thrown into a leadership position, like for this au if i made techno the oldest, then he technically becomes the king, and for a time he still tries to spend time with his brothers, but eventually his advisors keep making excuses and keep piling responsibilities on his plate and weeks pass and he realizes with a sadness that he hasnt even seen wil or tommy in a whole month. And so he tries to see them he forces his way to them and theyre happy to see him too at last but they have such little privacy, and theres so many eyes on them, and theres already people calling for techno to go attend something, and for wilbur to go back to his studies, and for tommy to return to training, and its just. Too much.
So they do plan to run away, just like phil did. They plan on fleeing together, but for plots sake, their plan gets found out and quickly shut down, and there comes talk of âremoving distraction from the kingâs environmentâ with suggestions of sending tommy and wilbur away and techno suddenly feels just so crushed underneath the weight of danger, he feels so terribly alone, he feels scared, and then Phil slams through the front door like âđ im taking my kids back now. Stop me if you fucking dareâ
See Phil can either get violent about this OR he could do some clever thing and have techno give the crown to him, making him king again, highest power in the land, and he orders for everyone to leave his children alone or else
Oh for angst he could exile techno wil and tommy? Send them back to the farm they know as home, while staying on the throne, because the kingdom demands for a ruler. And the brothers go back home happy to be there but bittersweet without their father and then phil shows up like two days later like âok kids pack quickly bc they are DEFINITELY going to realize i ran away faster this timeâ
only when phil takes back the throne do they realize how much their father is willing to sacrifice for them. he is willing to give away the freedom he fought tooth and nail for just for then to have another chance at the life they threw away. they get their freedom back but was it all really worth it when their father lost his?
oink oink oink
Do you think Technoblade ever looked at tiny baby Wil and thought âwow this hairless rat is gonna die.â And proceeded to make velvet blankets out of old capes for the baby, fur adorned and scrubbed as best they can be of the blood that stained it. He is put in a cradle of red and white, cushioned by a kingâs cloak.
Itâs all well and dandy until Phil comes home and sees his small, barely can roll over infant, is surrounded by things he could suffocate to death on. He proceeds to very gently take Technoâs hand and explain that infants need empty cribs. If anything they can sleep in a sack. He proceeds to also show diagrams of what a sleep sack looks like, lest his infant ends up in a potato sack.
Techno huffs softly and grunts. Yet he removes his cape, albeit slowly, and takes the time to sew it into a suitable piece of sleepwear for the baby. Phil wonât let him put actual gold in the crib- due to babiesâ innate ability to die from nearly everything- so he instead embroiders the sack with gold thread, carefully secured and checked over for no loose strings.
Techno holds the infant, Wilbur, in the crook of his arm, a little worried that perhaps his fur is too bristly for the childâs soft skin. Even the tiny nails are shiny and brand new. He lays him on a cape (apparently that is acceptable should he be actively holding the child).
Philza is a good friend but harried father, and because of this often ends up passing out on the couch, wiped out from child minding. Techno doesnât mind. For his friend the world, and if his father figure asks him to help raise a child, he would.
Phil says Wilbur is his younger brother, after all. A few centuries younger, but Techno has always been slow to age. He has hardly even hit adulthood yet. He has many, many more years ahead of him.
Wilbur grows incredibly fast, like a sprout of bamboo in fertile soil. He lays there for a while, like a large potato. But soon, he starts rolling. And babbling, and crawling. The crawling stage is short, hardly a few months, and then he is using furniture to toddle around the house. Then heâs off. He runs, he jumps, he takes off like a fledgling out of a nest. Techno is there for all of it.
Even at the end. He finds Phil, sprawled out in a corner of rubble, with the limp body of his son at his side.
Techno doesnât say anything. He couldnât if he wanted to. Instead, he wraps the still body, once more in a red velvet cape.
See i love joking about purposely leaving yall on cliffhangers but i wrote myself towards a cliff and theres two options either make the chapter possibly very long or CUT IT. But honestly wouldnt it be funny if i just dropped a terribly long chapter. âHey guys how yall doin. Drops 15k through your roofâ that would be kinda funny
Feeling mean and evil, so I'm thinking about very self-indulgent angst centered around a character being treated cruelly by their friends due to a misunderstanding <3
Specifically, OSMP-setting. Techno is a human, but he had a pretty crappy life and has always been treated like shit by most other people, so he tries to avoid towns, lives as a nomad, all that jazz. At one point, he wants to settle down, so he picks a spot in the middle of nowhere to build a little cabin and farm, just wants to mind his own business and be left alone.
Unbeknownst to him, the spot he picked is right on the perimeter of a secret hybrid commune.
One of them discovers Techno is living there and, due to misunderstanding and communication error, wrongly concludes Techno is also a hybrid (maybe they mistake him for a bunny hybrid?) so he gets invited to become part of the community. Techno is hesitant at first, and tries to keep to himself, but they (probably mostly tommy and tubbo) badger him a lot, and it is handy to have somebody to trade with, and over time he kinda grows a soft spot for them.
Techno does realize at some point that they think he's a hybrid too, and he wants to correct them, but before he can, one of them says something negative about humans and how they're "all dangerous" and such, and he gets nervous that he'll get kicked out. So he doesn't.
He keeps planning to tell them at some point, especially as he gets closer to everybody and considers them friends, and they all get closer to Techno and consider him a friend and fellow member of the commune, but he's still trying to figure out exactly how to break the news when shit hits the fan.
The commune is attacked by hybrid hunters. Techno helps them defend against the attack (even gets hurt in the event), and while the hunters are killed or send running, it's also revealed somewhere in the process that Techno is a human. And obviously, his friends feel utterly betrayed.
They accuse Techno of lying to them (which he technically did, but only by omission. He never said he was a hybrid, they never outright asked him, he just didn't correct the miscommunication). Maybe Techno is wrongly assumed to be working with the hunters or playing some sort of long game of harming the hybrids, maybe they think Techno is the reason behind the attack.
Techno tries to explain, he really does. But he sees the distrust in their eyes now.
During the attack, some of the hybrid members of the commune also got hurt and property damage was inflicted, not to mention there could be a second attack incoming if (some of) the hunters survived and fled. So they decide to lock Techno up temporarily so they can deal with that first before figuring out how to proceed. Bonus points if they don't give him any/much medical attention because his injuries aren't life-threatening.
Techno hunkering somewhere locked up in a shed with only a bit of water, cold and hungry, actively bleeding, wound getting infected. Maybe it takes a bit longer than they planned to sort everything out so Techno goes a few days without food and gets sick. Fever, all that good stuff.
Obviously, eventually, the rest of the commune does realize that Techno is not involved at all with the hunters. And while some of them are still a bit peeved at him lying, a few of the others point out that, since they talk so negatively about humans all the time, can they really blame Techno for not being honest? Is it not understandable he was nervous about their reaction? Does this really wipe out all the good Techno has done for the commune? Isn't he still their friend?
So they go and get him from the shed, only realizing then how bad his condition has gotten, and now you can have a big heaping of guilt about that on top of the whump as they try to apologize and help him heal yaaaaay
