Nate: Hah! That's true. But keeping busy is good on one hand, it's just lucky that we work together so we can see each other more than other Broadway couples working on different shows.

Lauren: I love ice skating so definitely!!! I haven't gotten to go in forever because my schedule's kept me from it and I miss it so much.

Nate: I know, I'm the luckiest.

Nate: Yeah, life has been crazy with the show but I'm glad I get to do it with you by my side.

Nate: I know, I think it's a little odd for people not to get their partners a present- I love giving gifts.

Nate: I know, babe, but I wanted to. You deserve the world.

Lauren: Well, you're more than just my boyfriend.

Lauren: I'd get you something since we're working together.

Lauren: Of course, your gift is a little nicer since we're dating but still. :)

Lauren: But I agree! Giving gifts is one of the best parts about this season.

Lauren: You're too sweet.

Nate: Of course, but still. I think it's a nice thing to do for the one you're dating.

Nate: It is!

“She’s a little angel.” Flynn hummed, smiling as his daughter just blinked up at him. She was still so small, and all he wanted to do was protect her. He was distracted enough he didn’t even react as he was touched like he normally did. “I hope so, she deserves a family that will give her unconditional love.” 

Nate nodded in agreement, “She really is. She hasn’t even made a peep.” He chuckled softly, loving how much his friend was enjoying fatherhood so far. “Well that’s what you and Jamie are.” He smiled. “You’re going to be amazing parents.”

Lauren: I couldn't imagine not getting you a present.

Lauren: But you didn't have to get me anything.

“I don’t think I’ll ever get used to how tiny she is, she’s only six and a half pounds. I mean just look at her little tiny feet, and her tiny hands, I just want to protect her from everything.” He cooed, holding his daughter close to his chest, before glancing up at the other practically beaming.

Nate smiled down at the little girl in Flynn’s arms, a smile stretched across his features as well. “She is so sweet, buddy. I’m so excited for you both.” He smiled, placing a hand on his friends shoulder and giving it a gentle squeeze. “You’re going to be an amazing father.”

“Someone in my cast gave me a bottle of spiced whiskey in a baby onesie, which definitely just raised the bar for gifts this year. Also, when do I get to start referring to myself as ‘daddy’ and have it not be creepy?”

“That is a good gift, I’m hoping what I’ve got planned will be half as cool as that. You might need the whiskey, though, parenting is a full time job. And as for daddy, I think it will always be creepy.” Nate laughed with a smile.

Lauren: That's just because you haven't met her yet :P

Lauren: She really is.

Lauren: Also, she now has a sister named Olivia, but she goes by Ollie.

Lauren: And she's so cute. There was a shelter and Ollie just had these eyes and I couldn't resist, so I took her home.

Nate: You're tough to beat, though, she'll have to be pretty cool.

Nate: You got another dog....?

Nate: When can I meet her?! I mean I'll admit you're a little crazy for getting another dog but I don't blame you, it's hard not to fall in love with a dog in that situation.

Two guys tried to fight me today and it took me an entire avenue to realise they were talking to me, not each other. They backed off when they saw my Freddy Krueger t-shirt. They’ve obviously not actually seen the movies because Freddy’s not really scary at all. But he apparently works as a fight preventor so that’s like… a tip.

Can I ask why they wanted to fight you? You seem like a nice guy, so it’s hard to believe that one--let alone two--people wanted to take you on in the span of one day.
