What if Fei was Marinette childhood friend instead of socqueline?
Thanks for the ask! That could actually be a really interesting concept. There are a lot of different things you can do with that.
Fei and her father could have been long-time friends with Sabine's family, and Marinette got to meet her when she and her parents went to meet Sabine's extended family. And the duo became penpals after that and sometimes visit each other. And Fei can pretty easily scare Chloe off since her father teaches her martial arts.
When everything with Cash happens, Fei might go to Marinette's relatives, and they might give her somewhere to stay. And it might let her keep her bracelet. If not, she'll at least have more people trying to find her after she disappears. Then, the Shanghai special could be about finding Fei or Fei wanting to go back and learn about the Sacred Cave.
Another potential idea is that, while staying with Marinette's family in Paris after everything, Fei sees Gabriel with her bracelet at some point since Gabriel bought it from Cash. It makes her suspicious, and she tries to steal it back.
It'd still be really cool. The two could live together as sisters, and Fei would be there for Marinette, probably even get akumatized for her. Though it might make hiding being Ladybug more difficult for Marinette. At the same time, if Fei becomes Ladydragon, she might become Ladybug's closest confidant, and Marinette would likely tell her about her identity.
Meanwhile, Fei might be that type of older sibling who pushes Marinette to learn martial arts from her so she can better protect herself from Chloe, which also helps Marinette as Ladybug.
Can I just say how much I love the fact that Gameoverse has Syntax weaponize the usually useless mob characters that are easy to beat in video games.
Like, a big rule about the Gameoverse is that 'planet foreigners' can't harm any of the characters directly. So, there's a limit to how much both Syntax and Farcade can actually do to complete their missions.
However, Syntax has an advantage with the Floaties.
They're literally those foot soldier characters like Goombas who probably aren't that strong. However, they provide an extremely useful job for Syntax by testing the game ahead of the world's heroes.
The little guys literally can't do anything to bosses like Crabbington, but are still providing extremely useful data to Miss Information and Fold.
Syntax is literally weaponizing their cannon fodder footsoldiers to get more information about their 'enemies' and I just absolutely love that because it feels like a deconstruction/subversion of a footsoldier's usual role in games.
Like, this wouldn't be possible without the Floaties. And you could see it gave Syntax a real advantage in the pilot.
Okay, so, I keep thinking about a dating game of some kind or a magical girl game for Lulu when I see her design. And it made me come up with a game for her.
So, her game involved her needing to save the world by reaching out to the evil characters in her world by changing their heart with her magic. And once she completed the last one, that's when her world detonated. However, the Syntax agents there managed to save all of Lulu's former enemies.
Now, the enemies, who still like Lulu, work for Syntax and compete against each other. The ultimate goal of each is to create a world where they can have Lulu.
Eventually, they'd meet the Nibbles Gang (yes, I'm calling Kit's team that). And actually see Lulu and Kit being close together, causing them to grow jealous and now focus on destroying Kit. So now Kit, Gobbles, Flappers, and Kaboodle have a bunch of angry, evil suitors after them because Kit's dating Lulu.
Prologue of the Miraculous Ninja Chapter 11: The Underworld
Previous Chapter / AO3
Sensei Wu lets out a gasp as he wakes up from his sudden sleep. He blinks a few times to remove the black spots from his vision, trying to figure out where he is. He can feel the hardness of a rock and smell sulfur. It doesn't take him long to realize where he is as his vision returns, and he sees rock and lava surrounding him. And his broken tea set is next to him.
He quickly pulls himself up and grabs the golden katana next to him before looking around fully. When he does, he sees an old-looking bridge. Further away, he sees something that immediately tells him where he is.
"Hmm. The Underworld." He muses as he watches skeleton soldiers move across bridges similar to the one he found.
They have to because the Underworld seems to be a bunch of small islands floating in the air. The islands are almost like planets in space. But unlike space, nothing but rock surrounds them.
Sensei Wu cautiously observes them all before hearing a group of soldiers approaching. He quickly ducks further behind the rocks he's hiding behind and watches them pass.
While hiding, Sensei Wu suddenly pulls a map from his beard and unrolls it, revealing that it's a map of the Underworld. He checks it over for a moment before closing it and ensuring the coast is clear. Once he does, he jumps from behind the rocks and bolts in a certain direction. The direction is toward a black-and-purple palace on one of the floating islands.
-------------------
Back in the surface world of Ninjago, the ninja are in a panic. Sensei Wu might be dead, and they're missing three of their members. Everything looks dire but not hopeless.
After Darkblade lost his transformation, the axes holding them in place vanished. So, the three were free to move. With this new freedom, they decided to find their remaining allies. To do so, they're now heading toward the volcano.
While they don't know exactly where it is, they're going in the direction Cat Noir ran, figuring that's the best place to start.
"Are you sure this is the right direction?" Jay questions as they run through the forest.
"It's where Cat Noir went. Do you have any better ideas?" Cole demands, trying to pick up the pace.
"Was it best that we leave those people alone in the forest?" Zane questions, since the group ended up leaving all the newly released civilians in the forest.
"We don't have a choice, Zane. Believe me, I want to help them too. But we don't have time. We have to find Sensei Wu and the others before we can help them." Cole explains to the white ninja.
"Which is why we'd better be going in the right direction," Jay adds.
-------------------
In the trees above them, Adrien is slowly trying to slide down where he'd been hiding while Plagg keeps an eye on the butterfly for him. The Kwami is riding atop the butterfly, keeping a firm grasp of it so it doesn't go anywhere.
Luckily, whether it's because Plagg isn't carrying an object, because Plagg is a Kwami, or because it's connected to Armand, the butterfly doesn't seem to be affecting Plagg in any way.
"Is it still clear, Plagg?" Adrien asks worriedly, looking down as he grips the tree tightly.
"You're still good, kid. It's like I told you, the knights are gone as long as we have this guy." Plagg states while lightly waving the butterfly in his grip.
"Besides, I don't hear those weird popping noises those chariots made or smell skeletons. So, they don't seem to be around." Plagg adds.
"Are you sure they were skeletons?" Adrien asks in confusion, finding it hard to believe, despite everything so far.
"Trust me, kid. I'd know the smell of those guys anywhere. The Underworld has a very distinct smell." Plagg promises, with some annoyance in his tone, signaling that it's not a pleasant smell.
"Well, do you at least see the others? They're safe since the knights are gone, right?" Adrien asks hopefully.
"I'm sure they're fine," Plagg promises before catching movement.
He takes a moment to smell the air and smells three familiar, and far more pleasant scents.
"Speak of the ninja," Plagg says before flying down.
"Hey, hey! Plagg! I can't see through here without you!" Adrien shouts in alarm, luckily catching the ninja's attention.
"Was that Cat Noir?" Zane asks curiously as he and the rest stop.
"Hey!" Plagg's nasally voice shouts as he zips toward the ninja.
"Plagg!" Jay shouts in surprise and joy when he sees the Kwami, glad to see another familiar face.
"There you guys are. Glad you're all alright." Plagg tells them with a grin, showing he means it.
"Where's Cat Noir?" Cole demands.
"Up there," Plagg says while looking toward where he left Adrien to point, since he still has his hands full.
"Plagg!" Adrien calls out as he continues to climb down.
"I've got him," Jay shouts, using Spinjitzu to jump toward Adrien.
He quickly captures the blond teen before returning to the others, dropping the Spinjitzu and letting Adrien fall on his butt.
"Okay. That feels different when I'm not in costume." Adrien says while holding his spinning head.
"You okay?" Cole asks as he and Jay help Adrien up.
"Yeah. Yeah." Adrien repeats before he steadies himself.
"I'm good. Glad you guys are okay, too." He tells them with a relieved smile.
"Yeah. Us too. Now, take us to the volcano. We've gotta find Sensei Wu and the others and figure out what to do about those skeletons." Cole tells Adrien, causing him to nod.
"Right, it's this-" Adrien starts, then pauses, realizing he doesn't know which way to go.
Plagg lets out a sigh, shaking his head as he sees the boy struggle. He then takes off in a certain direction.
"It's this way!" Plagg calls out for the others to follow, causing them to chase after the Kwami.
-------------------
"Here it is!" Plagg calls out once the group is out of the forest.
But he doesn't stop. He keeps going toward the entrance while the humans stop and stare in shock.
"Holy! Who is building these places!?" Jay demands, not understanding who'd be crazy enough to build everything they've seen while collecting the weapons.
The others ignore him in favor of chasing after Plagg, though.
They soon reach the last door before the volcano entrance and see that it's open.
"Kai, Ladybug, Sensei!" Cole calls out to the three as he feels the volcano's heat while walking cautiously inside.
"Are you okay!" Adrien calls, some raggedness in his breath since he's not as well-trained as the other three are, and the run took a bit more out of him.
Meanwhile, Zane's sixth sense seems to be picking up on something. Instead of looking toward the volcano door, he looks through the doors they came through with a far-off look.
"The Sword of Fire was here. As well our friends." He suddenly says, causing the others to turn to him.
But soon his expression turns sour as he looks down.
"But I only sense loss. We are too late." He says mournfully, causing the other three boys' eyes to widen.
Zane's senses then pick up on something else. It's as if more incredible power, similar to the kind he sensed with the Sword of Flame, vanishes at the same time.
"The elemental weapons have left this realm and are now in the Underworld," Zane says sadly as he turns to the others, revealing his mournful eyes to them.
"The end is near."
Hearing that last part, Cole lets out a groan before he sits on the final step to the door.
"Great. The one place no mortal can crossover." He says in slight defeat as he pulls his hood off.
"There's gotta be something we can do," Adrien says desperately, not wanting things to end like this.
"We may not be able to cross over!" Kai's voice suddenly resonates through the area, causing the group to look around in surprise.
Behind Cole, the palace's front begins to slide open like a playhouse, making everyone jump or walk backward in shock. With the movement comes a mechanical creaking noise, as if it hasn't done it in forever. And black sulfery smoke envelops the area for a moment before clearing.
When it does, it reveals a shocking sight. Kai, Nya, and Ladybug are all riding the fire dragon like they're an ordinary horse.
"But a dragon can," Kai states confidently, as the fire dragon rises for emphasis before letting out a roar.
"Wahhhh!" Cole screams in terror before jumping behind a pillar to hide.
"Our father used to tell us stories about the dragons," Nya explains excitedly, making her presence known to the rest of the group.
"How they were mystical beings that belonged to both worlds and ferried between them." Nya continues as Kai and Ladybug jump off the dragon and walk toward the group.
Hearing that they actually want to ride what's been trying to kill them makes Cole sputter.
"Are you insane!" He screams at them in a higher-pitched voice after finding his words.
Kai watches the reaction in amusement but decides to explain it since they don't have much time to mess around.
"Once he realized we were trying to protect the Sword of Fire, he actually became quite a softy," Kai tells everyone before the fire dragon turns its head toward Kai and nudges him, making the red ninja chuckle.
"Knock it off," he chuckles good-naturedly as he playfully pushes the nose away while petting the dragon.
Seeing this, Nya can't help but laugh too. Hearing it makes Jay stare at her, pink hearts coloring his vision around her.
"You like blue!" He suddenly shouts at Nya in a hopeful, anxious manner, causing everyone to turn to him.
"It's my favorite color," Nya answers warmly with a kind smile as she stares down at Jay.
Pumping his fist, Jay gains a victorious grin.
"Yes." He mutters to himself, believing he has a chance.
Ladybug smiles at this warm scene before almost falling off the dragon in surprise when Plagg suddenly flies in front of her.
"Whoa!" She shouts in alarm as she barely manages to stop herself.
"Look what I got," Plagg says with a grin as he holds up the butterfly, seemingly not caring that he almost made Ladybug fall.
"Is that one of Hawkmoth's butterflies?" Ladybug asks in shock.
"Yep. And it's the one that caused all this chaos. You can do your thing now." Plagg tells her.
Ladybug quickly rips her yo-yo off her waist. She then spins it a little before throwing it to Plagg and the butterfly. At the last second, Plagg lets go of the butterfly and flies backward to avoid the yo-yo as the front opens up like a pair of ladybug wings. There's a pink glow inside the yo-yo before it captures the butterfly, and the wings close again. Ladybug pulls her yo-yo back and stares at it for a moment. She looks nervous to use her final power.
"This'll fix everything, right?" She asks Plagg.
"Yep. Just use it, and everything Hawkmoth did will go back to normal. Your family will be back where they were before, too. You have to imagine that, though." Plagg warns Ladybug, causing her to nod.
Closing her eyes, Ladybug takes a deep breath as she imagines her parents and everyone else back in Ninjago City, happily living their day-to-day lives. With that mental image, she rises to her feet while still atop the dragon and throws her yo-yo into the air.
"Miraculous Ladybug!" She screams at the top of her lungs as the yo-yo spins in the air.
Suddenly, it's enveloped in a warm red glow. Everyone in the area, even the dragon, feels a wave of relaxation as millions of red energy ladybug constructs fly out of the yo-yo and go in different directions.
-------------------
In the forest, the panicking and confused victims of Darkblade try to figure out what to do. In the next second, the ladybugs wrap around them like a tsunami wave before they find themselves back in Ninjago City, doing what they were before Darkblade's attack.
Not only were all the people returned, but the ladybugs also repaired all the damage the knights caused, from Ninjago City to Kai and Nya's village, to the forest where Cat Noir used Cataclysm. All of it is gone, as if the ladybugs turned back time.
Even more miraculously, it didn't even take a minute for the whole process to happen. The ladybugs did all of this near instantaneously before returning to Ladybug's yo-yo.
-------------------
As the yo-yo falls to the ground, the group stares at it in shock.
"Did it work?" Adrien asks cautiously.
Zane closes his eyes and tries to sense what's happening. Soon, he feels a peace within the realm. To him, it feels like the world is celebrating, as if something that was hurting it has healed. He then opens them again and looks to the rest of the group.
"It worked. I can feel a sense of peace envelop the realm." Zane informs them neutrally.
"Crazy," Cole mutters, unable to believe everything is fixed just like that.
"At least that's one thing taken care of. Now to get Sensei Wu and the weapons back." Kai states with a serious expression.
At that, Nya jumps off the dragon and looks at her brother sadly. He also turns to her and gives her a similar expression.
"Nya." He starts before Nya cuts him off.
"This is going to be goodbye again, isn't it?" She asks sadly.
Kai can only nod while giving her a guilty look.
"Come back to me in one piece, okay. I don't want to have to run the store on my own." She tells her brother while giving a pleading smile.
Kai nods and gives her a determined look.
"I promise I won't be gone for long." He tells her before jumping onto the flame dragon.
"I'll keep a candle lit outside your shop until you return," Nya promises as Zane and Jay run past her, joining Kai and Ladybug on the dragon.
Adrien runs too, but soon notices that there isn't enough room. Behind him, Cole is nervously hiding behind the door.
"Uh, you guys go on ahead." He says while waving them away.
He then notices the same thing as Adrien and smiles.
"There isn't enough room for all of us on that... thing," Cole states, causing the flame dragon to look at him, not liking that comment.
However, Kai smirks at Cole like he has something evil planned.
"You're right, Cole, but I have a way to fix that," Kai tells him.
-------------------
"E-easy," Cole says as he holds onto the pole of a chair-like saddle he's now using to ride the rock dragon.
The ninja and heroes are now all riding one of the four elemental dragons they ran into. Adrien chose to ride with Jay while Ladybug took pity on Cole and sat with him.
"This is awesome!" Jay shouts excitedly as they all fly up and dive through some clouds.
"This is quite fun." Zane agrees, a bit more emotion in his voice as they continue to fly through the sky.
"It's going to be okay, Cole. They're not going to hurt us." She promises the ninja, trying to ease his worries.
"Easy for you to say! You have magic armor in case these guys decide to drop us!" Cole shouts at her anxiously as he looks down at the mountains below.
"Are we keeping these guys!?" Adrien asks with a wild grin, his transformation still down.
"Heck, yeah. And I have the perfect names for them." Jay calls out before flying toward Kai at the lead.
"We can call your guy, Flame." He tells the red ninja before dropping back next to Zane.
"He can be Shard."
Jay then looks down at his lightning dragon.
"This guy, right here, can be Wisp."
He then turns to Ladybug and Cole.
"And you guys have Rocky."
"Real creative with those names, Jay," Kai says sarcastically, but doesn't seem too bothered by the names.
"Can we forget about the names! How do the dragons cross over to the Underworld?" Cole demands.
As if accepting his words as a challenge, the dragons suddenly form a side-by-side line and prepare to dive.
"I think we're aBOUT TO FIND OUT!" Kai screams the last part as Flame, and the others rapidly dive toward the ground.
Now it's not just Cole screaming. All the teens are letting out screams of panic and fear as they see the ground below them approaching fast. At the speed they're going, it'll only take a few seconds before they slam into the ground.
As the group closes in on the ground, the dragons suddenly start spinning. Not normal spinning, though. No, the dragons look like they're performing their own version of Spinjitzu, becoming giant, colorful drills that seemingly phase through the ground, not leaving a single mark that they were there.
Cole, his eyes closed as he waits for them to crash, is confused about why they haven't yet and why the air feels different. However, he's too afraid to open his eyes.
"Is it over?" He asks.
"No. It's definitely not over." Ladybug tells him with some panic, causing Cole to open his eyes to a shocking sight.
It seems the dragons have formed a straight line and are now navigating a massive tunnel that runs deeper into the Earth. Within this tunnel, there are various rocks and purple crystals.
"I hope these dragons know what they're doing," Kai says worriedly before the group reaches a fork in the tunnels.
Flame and Shard go through the left tunnel while Wisp and Rocky go through the right. The dragons seem to navigate through the tunnels with ease, despite the obstacles growing. As they go deeper in, geysers of fire shoot out, and rock spikes are sticking out.
The dragons are moving at such a rapid pace despite the obstacles that it's becoming hard to keep up with their movements. But one thing's for sure, their movements are still growing faster.
"They're getting faster," Kai warns Jay and Adrien before something unexpected happens.
Without warning, a vortex similar to what the skeletons went through opens for them. The dragons enter before the teens can even realize what happened. All they know is that all the sounds around them suddenly vanish. And all they can see is darkness.
That isn't for long, though. Soon, the group can see a light at the end of wherever they are. It's moving toward them at a brisk pace until they're through it, and the teens feel a sudden resistance as the dragons come to an unexpected stop.
All four dragons are together again, seeming to reconverge through the vortex, and all the riders are thrown off by the unexpected stop, rolling across greyish-blue-tinted ground.
"Solid ground," Cole says joyfully as he pushes himself up.
"We made it!" He shouts as he looks around, his voice lightly echoing through the massive cavern-like world of the Underworld.
"Did it have to be so rough, though?" Adrien groans as he rubs his hurting arm.
"You should've transformed before we started riding," Jay tells him as the group starts to stand up.
"It's not my fault that Plagg hasn't recovered yet," Adrien argues before his Kwami comes out.
"Good news, though. I'm all charged up." He informs his wielder with a somewhat cheeky grin.
Adrien gives him a flat, unimpressed expression.
"Ah, don't give me that look. I can't rush these things unless you feed me." Plagg argues with his wielder.
Adrien sighs at this, then lifts his hand with the ring on it.
"Plagg, claws out." He commands, causing Plagg to fly into his ring and for Adrien to transform back into Cat Noir.
"Alright, now that we're all ready, how do we find, Sensei?" Cole asks as he looks around.
The group seems to be at a cave entrance above the floating islands. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a bridge to any of the islands. Luckily, it still gives them a great vantage point to map out the realm without being seen, especially since the area has some rocks that hide the dragons from view.
"I can probably use my yo-yo to swing us over there," Ladybug says, raising her yo-yo for emphasis.
"Good idea. Think you can tie it to something so we can climb to the island, though?" Cole asks.
"Let me try," Ladybug says before spinning her yo-yo.
She quickly throws it, and it wraps around a rock pillar on a nearby island, then ties the other end to another pillar near them. After she does, she does a quick test to ensure it won't unwrap. When it looks, she smiles at the group.
"I think it's safe." She tells them.
"Good. Now, where should we go?" Cole asks before Zane points to a certain island.
It's the palace that Sensei Wu went to. It looks like it's in the very center of the Underworld. Not only that, but it's larger than the other islands, like it's two islands connected. In front of the palace, there's a massive courtyard where a lot of activity is happening.
"Sensei is there," Zane informs them.
"Then that's where we'll go," Cole states before jumping onto Ladybug's makeshift zipline and sliding down by his scythe.
Luckily for the ninja, they got their weapons back. They found them at the repaired campsite after taking a quick detour. The rest follow after him, with Cat Noir using his staff while Ladybug uses her cloak to slide down. It doesn't take long for all of them to reach the island before having to duck behind cover as a skeleton patrol crosses one of the bridges.
As the skeletons unknowingly approach the group, Cole performs quick hand signs to the others. Without warning, the skeletons get pulled behind the cover after moving past it, and there's a scruffle.
It ends with the group emerging from behind their cover, each carrying a different skeletal limb with varying levels of discomfort as the limbs move in their grips.
"So, what do we do with these?" Cat Noir asks, holding the foot he has away from his face like it smells terrible.
"Toss 'em." Kai shrugs as he throws the bones over the edge, where they fall aimlessly down to the void.
It doesn't take much for the others to follow his lead. After throwing away the bones, the group runs across the bridge, then ducks behind more cover as another patrol arrives on the island they run to.
They repeat the process they did before a few more times until they've closed in on the palace area, where they see multiple armed skeleton guards and the various vehicles they used to beat Hawkmoth surrounding the courtyard area ahead of the palace entrance.
"They're expecting us." Kai voices everyone's thoughts as they take in how heavily the area's guarded.
"Think we can handle them?" Cat Noir asks curiously, since they didn't really get to see how strong the skeletons are.
"I mean, they can't use their vehicles here." Jay points out.
The island is too small for them to use the vehicles properly. So, it'll come down to fighting the skeleton soldiers.
"There's still a lot of them," Ladybug adds cautiously.
"And they do have the Golden Weapons. They might use them against us." Zane adds with her.
"So, we don't brute force it. We do this the ninja way." Cole nods before looking toward the island floating directly above the palace.
-------------------
Meanwhile, at the palace entrance, Nuckal and Kruncha stand near the bridge, inspecting everything the soldiers bring inside. As some skeletons try to bring a cart of barrels in, Kruncha moves in front of them, raising a hand to signal to stop.
"Hold up!" He shouts in a commanding manner.
"Nothing gets through without inspection." He tells them before Nuckal butts in.
"Ninja search!" He screams as he jumps toward the carriage.
He flies into the barrels it's carrying, knocking some of them and the skeleton on the back off. Kruncha winces at his partner's action, then gives him an annoyed look.
Unbothered, Nuckal jumps back to Kruncha's side.
"K, you guys can pass," Nuckal says, like he didn't just throw all the barrels out and spill their contents, making a big mess the skeletons need to clean before they can pass.
"Ugh." Kruncha groans, looking away from his partner and shaking his head, seeming used to this behavior.
-------------------
Above them, the ninja and heroes are climbing from stalactite to stalactite, doing their best to climb without being seen or heard as they move toward the palace.
Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a bridge to any of the islands. Luckily, it still gives them a great vantage point to map the realm without being seen, especially since the area has large rocks that hide the dragons from view.
After that, Jay launches to another stalactite, only to grab onto something that makes a clicking noise. The thing he's holding onto is thinner and seems made of something else. When Jay grabs it, the object goes down before pulling itself back up, prompting Jay to look up, only to realize he's staring at a giant spider that could rival the dragons in size.
"AHHHHHH!!!!" Jay screams in surprise and fear, causing the other ninja to turn to him and see him panicking.
"Jay! Quiet-" Kai is about to say, before he feels something lowering him.
Cole, next to him, also feels this, and they look up to see not just Jay's spider, but another one. Even the other three are unknowingly holding one.
The spiders, displeased by the disturbance, start pulling the teens toward them as they move down to eat them. Seeing them, the teens can't help but let out their own screams of panic before letting go on instinct, causing them all to fall and scream even more.
As they fall, Ladybug is the only one to try something. She grabs her yo-yo and quickly throws it toward the palace. Luckily, it wraps around the bone spikes of the tower-like structure, letting her swing toward it. As she swings, she grabs the person closest to her without realizing who it is. As the rest fall, she and the one she's holding fly across the bridge and to the entrance.
They slam through the doors and roll across the ground before groaning as they stop.
"Ugh. That was not a smooth landing." Ladybug mutters as she holds her head.
"Tell me about it." A very familiar voice groans beside her, making her look up and be face-to-face with Cat Noir.
Her eyes quickly widen, and she immediately bolts off the ground and backs away from the teen.
"Sorry, sorry. Didn't mean to be so close." She quickly apologizes.
Cat Noir also gets up and backs away from Ladybug.
But he has a far more conflicted expression as he stares at Ladybug this time. Remembering what Zane revealed made him unsure how to handle Ladybug right now, since he still has worries about her.
"Don't worry about it... Thanks." He tells her awkwardly, not looking at her and staring at the layout instead.
It doesn't look too different from the outside. The area really looks a bit more like a cave than a palace, given how dreary it is. It doesn't seem like the Underworld has many different building materials, as everything around looks made of the same substance as the rocks that make up the islands.
"Wow, this is somehow lonelier than my house." Cat Noir can't help but say, staring at the place with an uncomfortable expression, as he scratches his cheek.
"Do you think Sensei Wu is really in here?" Ladybug decides to ask as she looks deeper into the palace.
"I hope so. Do you think the others are okay?" Cat Noir asks before turning toward the entrance.
It seems like the doors closed after getting slammed open. So, the two can't see.

If they could, they would have seen that all four ninja fell directly in the center of the courtyard, allowing all the skeletons to see them as they lay on the ground, coughing from the fall that knocked the air out of them.
"Uh, if there is more than one ninja, is it ninjas or just ninja?" Nuckal asks confusedly while staring at the group.
"I think it's just ninja." Kruncha shrugs, causing Nuckal to make an 'oh' noise.
"Okay, then." Nuckal nods before pointing dramatically at the ninja.
"Ninja!" He screams in alarm, his voice echoing across the Underworld.
It's to the point where even far-off patrols can hear his voice and immediately double back while the ones in the courtyard draw their weapons, bone staves or sharpened bone blades, and stalk toward the ninja.
Seeing themselves surrounded, the ninja get back-to-back while drawing their weapons.
"I can't ten of them for every one of us," Cole warns them as the army grows closer.
Unfortunately, his numbers soon prove to be off, as a dozen giant spiders like the ones that scared the group fall from the island over them and help the skeletons surround them.
"Uh oh," Kai says in worry as he sees the situation getting worse.

"I don't know. But Zane said Sensei Wu is here. W-we should probably find him to get his help." Ladybug nervously states.
-------------------
Further within the palace, Sensei Wu is running down a circular staircase, the Sword of Fire wrapped in a cloth and carried with both hands. As he reaches the bottom, he peeks out to see if anyone's there.
The chamber he's looking into seems to be the leader's room. There's a large bone throne at the other end, guarded by multiple moats with bone bridges to get across. Connected to the moat walls are bone spikes; there are even bone fences with intricate designs surrounding the throne's sides.
Strangely enough, though. There doesn't seem to be anyone around. Seeing no one inside but keeping his guard up, Sensei Wu carefully enters the room and runs toward the throne, only to hear ominous laughter when he reaches it.
"He, he, he. Brother." Garmadon's voice rings throughout the room, causing Sensei Wu's eyes to widen in panic before he turns to see his brother in all his glory, no longer hiding behind his shadowy form.
Lord Garmadon stands taller than Sensei Wu by a good head. However, that doesn't matter much when compared to the rest of him. His skin is pitch black, almost indistinguishable from his shadow form. And he wears samurai-like armor made out of bone with a grey metallic samurai helmet that has a bone resting horizontally on the front. It seems he might have some features similar to Sensei Wu, but he lacks facial hair and instead has whitish-grey markings along his face. And, like an animal, his canines are sticking out of his mouth.
Not that the rest of his teeth aren't showing anyway, as the man stares at Sensei Wu with a smile that can only be described as evil. It seems the man is ready for a fight, even against his brother.
