End of Summer 2015 Mix
My first mix of 2015 and I've pushed it well into September as the sun still teases with heat but the nights grow ever colder. Long and lovely, pop this one on about an hour before sunset, turn it up, and enjoy!

A deep, dark, minimal affair to celebrate Halloween 2014.
NEW MIX: A deep and dark tech house jam session for the Guv's Nov 1 MASQ party.
The Guv is closing up after almost 2 decades on Toronto's waterfront. One lucky cat who hasn't had the chance to spin there before will be on stage Nov 1. This is my #DJATGUV submission.
In the same vein as resident Mark Oliver, this mix leans more towards tech house. And in keeping with the Hallowe'en themed Masq party, I went a little dark. Not quite as dark as my traditional Hallowe'en mixes (I've got another one of those queued up for the end of the month. :-)), but dark nonetheless.
And, for the Guv's request to prioritize track selection, in addition to the criteria above, I made the effort to comb through recent selections so all of these tracks are fresh vibes from 2014.

This year's End of Summer mix comes to you from sunny Toronto where were lucky enough to have suntan friendly weather through the end of September.
Still, fall is now hear with a vengeance. Stay warm with this varied collection of tracks from 2007 to 2014.

I just cannot say enough about this track.
I only included about 3 minutes of it in my last mix, but the whole track is just so satisfying. In fact, I could really use another 10+ minutes of that bass line. Whew.

Following the madness of helping bring HoHoTO back from the brink and a random holiday party set in December, I now haven't touched the decks in 2014. Yet.
To gear up for the year, I made a point of digging into new releases (and year end lists) a lot more aggressively than the past few years, when my music listening dropped off precipitously from the obsessive levels of 2006 through 2010.
Well, yesterday I listened to 1200 songs, 850 of which were from 2014 releases. All thanks to a combination of the following highly recommended resources:
