Pick up the new razorcake, with a cover drawn by yours truly.
Please source nationofamanda for the "Pet all the dogs" drawing. She gets her art stolen all the time.
Done!Â

my peeps are lookin out
Hello Friends and well-wishers!
The above is a 2-page excerpt from my book Tomboy, about how having a December birthday can be a real bummer, especially when youâre a kid who wants all the presents and attention.  Today is my 33rd birthday, and I still want that Ninja Turtle, dammit.
And since today is my annual birthday (crazy how that keeps happening every year) every year I have only one birthday wish: if youâve enjoyed my comics over the years, please share them with your friends and/or family! Â
This year is a doubly special opportunity for you to spread the word, because I had TWO books come out in 2014! Â The first was Alone Forever: The Singles Collection, published by Top Shelf Productions in February, and the second was Tomboy: A Graphic Memoir, published by Zest Books a few months ago. Â How can you let your friends know about these books? Â I have some suggestions:
You can post about them on facebook, twitter, or tumblr (or livejournal, myspace, and friendster). Â You can buy a copy of them for yourself if you havenât already.
You can buy a copy for a friend as a gift (incidentally I am selling signed versions for the holidays on my website (shameless plug, oh wait, this whole post is a shameless plug) http://lizprincepower.com/store). Â
If youâve read ANY of my books, and you havenât done so already, you can rate and review them on Goodreads: http://www.goodreads.com/lizprince, because getting the numbers up on reader review sites MATTERS in todayâs internet-driven consumer culture (thatâs a sentence I never thought Iâd type, but Iâm literally older and wiser today).
But mostly, I want to extend my gratitude to all of my readers for putting their eyeballs on my comics: it is so rewarding to make the work I want to make, and have people appreciate it. Â Everyone should eat a cookie today to celebrate; youâve earned it.
Oh hey so Amanda and I did this art piece for VICE Noisey and I havenât shared it here just yet. I drew it, Amanda painted it, and then I added a color tint to the background. So what it is is an illustration for an article Franz Nicolay (WIFS/Hold Steady) wrote about a tour he (and his wife and baby) went on in the Ukraine. The colors in the background are supposed to mirror the colors of the Ukraine flag, though Iâm not positive how clearly that came out. Also I donât think he has that mustache any more but goddamnit itâs my drawing and Iâll remember him how I want to remember him.
Anyhow you can read his three-part article (itâs actually quite good) here:

i feel like the ads on my facebook have gotten a tad mocking lately, and i do not like it.
Weâve long known that catalogs are garbage, so we try to make ours only half-garbage by putting artwork on the backs. This new one ties in to Turnstile Comix #3, in which Mitch Clem and Nation Of Amanda illustrate the story of Lemuria's harrowing 2011 tour through Russia that this poster was promoting. We went a little overboard and made all the normally English words in Russian too so its extra relevant and extra hard to understand. These are free with any order from our online shop (or just ask for one), including pre-sales for one of the first 200Â Turnstile Comix #3: Lemuria EPs on limited edition clear-creamsicle colored vinyl.
This is the sort of thing that can make even a grumpy, jaded old Lizardman briefly find joy in the world again.
corpse face painting this weekend at FFF was pretty much the best paying gig i have ever had. this photo kind of explains it all.
mitch and i made a poster together. i did the arts, and he went on a photoshopping spree. TEAMWORK!
I was drawing this to go on a flyer for my friend Alithea and I decided I liked the drawing too much to relegate exclusively to a flyer so here it is by itself first. The HWM on the dudeâs calf was her idea.
mitch drew some cuties while i was at work.
i'm corpse face painting all weekend at fun fun fun fest. come say hi if you'll be there!
Hey nerds, this comic I spent two whole years procrastinating getting done is finally available for preorder! I buckled this time and agreed to do a ton of vinyl variants, so if youâre into that kind of thing youâre gonna wanna jump on this right quick, because the special preorder vinyl color variant is limited to 200.

Secret 300 in person from Silver Sprocket:Â ???
Mitch Clem and Nation of Amanda are back with another action-packed installment ofTurnstile Comix! This time around, we follow indie rock superstars Lemuria on a harrowing international tour. Watch as they traverse the vast landscape of Russia, dodging roves of violent Nazis, crooked cops, mobster shakedowns, gunshots, a tropical storm, rabid dogs, and a substandard German pizza! Itâs an insane true story you have to read to believe. PLUS, of course, weâve got a 7â of brand new Lemuria tracks produced by none other thanMark Ryan himself (The Marked Men, Radioactivity, etc). Lemuriaâs earnest and off-center indie pop mixed with Markâs stripped-down garagey production makes for a truly wild and exciting batch of songs. So here we go, everyone! Get ready to laugh and cry and dance and be sure to drink plenty of water, because your favorite cartoonists and your favorite band are here to make your life seem almost worth living for a precious little while!
